Very interesting and tasty menu in a stylish and refined environment

Superb restaurant, very nice decor, warm welcome, baby friendly with high chair and changing table as well as children's menu, room for strollers. Small downside on the slowness of the service as soon as there are a few more people.

Very nice restaurant with a chic atmosphere, very friendly service and excellent food! A special thanks goes to Manon F. - she recommended the perfect burger, which I definitely won't eat for the last time. In addition, her service was impeccable, personable and very accommodating. Thank you very much and would be happy to come back at any time.

Love their Sunday brunches! Probably my favorite in Basel. The food is always fresh and they have champagne included😱 which is rare in basel. Great place for hang out, dates or whatever else! Their cocktails are also amazing

Great Sunday brunch with live music

It is a nice place and the staff are friendly and fast, but the size of the cocktails is too small given the prize. I know we are in Switzerland, but come on. It is exaggeratedly small.

Maybe I no longer have the vintage for steel concrete. Personally, I prefer cozy atmospheres. I was invited to an aperitif. Noisy, crowded, and the food...Oh well. Acceptable. Centrally located, customers just after puberty...until 25 Service friendly, language still understandable.. Personally, I wouldn't prefer this location.

Our favorite bar in Basel! You have to try the Nomad's Spritz! 10/10 would recommend!

Very pleasant atmosphere and great staff! The only disappointment: We sought advice, but unfortunately, despite wanting a sweet and fruity cocktail, a bitter and sour cocktail was recommended and served to us.

Excellent bar at the Nomad hotel to have a cocktail in a modern and lively atmosphere. Yes, Swiss prices, that is, expensive.

2 out of 5 stars is for the very basic fact that the overall value was not there. Starting with that were charged 4.50 fr. each for three glasses of tap water. Now before management replies to me ‘this is normal is Switzerland’, I’ve lived here for a very very long time so I am used to paying the service charge on tap water, but 4.50 fr for a single glass (and we ordered 3 glasses without the server offering a bottle or caraffe) is simply greedy and absolutely out of line. Food was decent, decor as well, portion sizes were smaller side (wife left hungry), no fresh bread offered with goulash. The server failed to give me an itemized bill so I regret missing this hidden charge before I settled the bill (I was in a hurry). Overall the value was off per plate and the water price sent me over the edge on value. We won’t visit again. I'd like to add, after the restaurant has replied to my comments, that if you are sponsoring a water program that this needs to be outlined clearly on your offering (menu) and your staff needs to tell people that this is happening so one can choose to order or not after being fully informed. I don't need 'extra minerals', 4.50 fr. is still too outrageous a price. Secondly, ask for seconds? What world are you living in? That is so completely outrageous that I can't stop shaking my head at this comment. No restaurant in the world, except for all-you-can-eat buffets suggest you ask for more. Again, if this is a novel approach to guest satisfaction, put it in big letters on your menu. Your comments do not serve to inform other guests, put these things in writing on your menu. Still, for me, never again, even more so after your comments.

Very nice location for breakfast. Plenty of choice and very polite and courteous staff would be happy to come again.

The service leaves something to be desired: we were laughed in our faces when we arrived at 9 a.m. for brunch (confirmed the day before on the phone) The value for money of the brunch is not there: a brunch at 56CHF so as not to have avocado, eggs Benedict's, the few cold cuts offered at the counter.. A live musician was present, although this musician was talented, we quickly came back to talking loudly to hear each other.

Disappointed with the brunch which is charged 56 CHF. The service is not great. Concerning the drinks and cocktails, it deserves a 4/5. In conclusion, it's better to eat nothing and stay in bed on Sunday morning.

Modern atmosphere, very nice staff

The brunch was tasty, a buffet with some delicatessen like smoked salmon, roast beef and vitel tonnè. Also, open bar with Prosecco and fresh juice.

After ordering we had to wait a little longer, it was probably just a shift change... as a gesture of goodwill we were offered drinks plus coffee, the food was really good (awesome😉) we'll always come back, great location, great service... ....that's Basel City, that's Nomad Eatery🤙thanks a lot

At Nomad Eatery & Bar, “the customers are queens” is lived! 👍 After my first review (2 stars, see below) I contacted Nicole. We were very impressed by the offer to invite the three of us, and how it all worked out surpassed everything! actually 5 stars plus! Now we were there last Saturday (April 2023) and we had a wonderful evening!!! Riccardo orchestrated the evening in a friendly and always attentive manner (thanks again!!), the drinks, the Nomad platter and also the main courses, everything came very quickly and was simply perfect 😋 thank you Nicole and the whole team! we'll be back 😊 By the time the food finally comes, the hunger is gone 🙁👎 We were there yesterday evening (March 2023) and unfortunately we were very disappointed! It all started pretty well. The drinks were good and the starter (mazze) gave hope for a culinary delight. However, the service was not convincing right from the start. We all ordered the burger and then the wait started... at some point we asked if we could go out for a cigarette and then waited forever again. All in all, we waited for an hour (or rather longer) for unfortunately mediocre and lukewarm burgers. The fries were ok, but the mini portion of ketchup was terrible (the taste was far too dominant) and the mini portion of mayo was too bland. Our waitress didn't even think of informing us during the entire waiting time. When we complained about the long waiting time, the answer was that it was busy. That's probably no excuse, after all a restaurant should be staffed accordingly on a Friday evening! In general everything took a very long time. She wasn't unfriendly, but friendly service is clearly different! All in all: nice place, although the seating at the front is far too cramped, good drinks, but definitely not a place to eat. and because of the disappointing experience I definitely won't be going back anytime soon, not even for drinks! Pity!

We appreciate the bar and the atmosphere at nomad. The cocktails are first class and the staff is very personable and friendly. One of the top bars in Basel, always a pleasure.

Good food in nice boutique hotel with pleasant and responsive staff. A must in Basel!

Great bar at Nomad, which is located between the train station and Basel's old town. The furnishings are woody and fresh, similar in style to the 25h Hotel. The service is quick, the cocktails taste good, even if you had to wait a bit for them. The Basil Smash was good, but not the best I've had. But it's also a matter of taste. During the week the bar closes at 11 p.m. Good experience.

The food was disappointing. The nachos were bland, the cheese wasn't good, nor was the guacamole, which also had Korean in it. The starter was good (Halloumi & tacos), but very small portions. The herb salad that came with it consisted of 2 leaves of basil and mint. The main courses were large. We had the cauliflower with some kind of Ebli. This was completely over-seasoned and dry as there was no sauce with it. The tagine was also very well seasoned and the couscous on the side was also too intense with a kind of mint syrup. The burger was very good but expensive for 31.-. The service was very friendly, hence not just one star but two. The bar is nice too, but we definitely won't be coming back for dinner.

Restaurant of the Krafft Group hotel of the same name with modern furnishings made of concrete and wood. It has various seating and standing bar areas in the front and back areas. At lunchtime there are classics as well as lunchtime specials, which always include a soup or salad at prices of CHF 25-28. The food was on the table quickly and I was very impressed by the service. I enjoyed eating here as it created a variety of different flavor explosions in my mouth.

The Sunday Brunch was absolutely wonderful! Lots of delicious dishes to choose from. Drinks incl. tea, coffee, prosecco all inclusive. Ambience cosy, live music, attentive waiters. Can definitely recommend.

Great atmosphere and very nicely decorated. The cocktails are super delicious and the snacks are great too! We had the roast beet sandwich just last week and it was absolutely amazing! Unfortunately it just takes forever to get served. In general, whether you want to place a new order or whether you want to pay... it's unbelievable how long you have to wait. Depending on the situation, if you just come for a quick after-work drink and have to move on... unfortunately a bit annoying.

Know-it-all staff! We ordered 2 Amaretto Sours, the ice cube was as big as the glass, we barely had anything to drink! When I asked the waiter about it and he took out the ice cube, there was almost nothing left in the glass! Then the manager came and explained to us how much cl etc. they mix and how to make an Amaretto Sour!! Also what kind of egg cubes you will order in the future (transparent ones etc.) which doesn't interest us!!! Instead of acting in a solution-oriented manner, he gave a lecture and said, sorry, but I can't do anything about it and left our table!! We cheekily paid 33.- for the content! Never again (highly arrogant and not solution-oriented). Even the waiters were a bit surprised when the ice cube was no longer in the glass and they saw the contents. I've never had an Amaretto Sour like this! Luckily we then went to another restaurant for a decent Amaretto Sour! But the waitress Veronika was very professional and managed it in a very friendly way at the end! Still never again!!! Embarrassing when the employees are more competent than the manager... It's a shame I can't upload the picture, it's surprisingly small...

Very nice atmosphere and service. Food sub par. We both got different soups with noodles. Both were incredibly salty, and seemed like noodles came out of a can. Meatballs were ok.

I had one of the best IPA-Beer without alcohol. This was definitely the best alcohol free beer, I ever had. The beer was from the Voltabräu in Basel. The service was friendly and the terrace nice but unfortunately a little noisy because of the traffic in front of the restaurant.

Excessive prices for what is on offer. Wine list needs to be revised. Management questionable.

We were only here for a few drinks so can't comment on the food. The drinks were well made (Basil smash and Negroni) but in my opinion the prices were a bit excessive for the location of the location.

Very nice atmosphere, excellent food and enjoyable cocktails! One star deducted because of excessively loud music and over an hour of waiting time for food! The volume in particular is a bit incomprehensible, as five people can hardly talk... Music a little quieter (style was great!), service a little more attentive and then it would be almost 6 stars 😉

Went to Nomad for Sunday brunch today. I fell in love with the Shaschuka. The food selection is extensive and of high quality. Service: very, very friendly and accommodating. Conclusion: you feel comfortable here. Great soul food components to choose from. I would be happy to come back to eat here at any time.

Very friendly, young and dynamic place where you can prepare your own waffles for breakfast. The staff is also very friendly, which is very pleasant. A little more fresh fruit would be nice though.

The eggplant with tomato butter sauce was also very good. As a starter we recommend the Nomad platter (slightly adapted by us)! We will be happy to come back and recommend your restaurant.

Place is beautiful. Maybe I didn’t get the message of the food. The one I ordered is the fish one. It is fish with tomatoes not quite something I would expect (not understanding the German menu and didn’t ask…). Taste wise it is ok, spicy for me. It is definitely not WOW effect for me. But place is good. Nice to sit and drink and chat.

They have very limited menu choices. We went on Saturday for a brunch at 12:00 but the waitresses told us they only serve lunch at this time which was a pity.

Nice place for afterwork drinks

The staff is very professional, fast and friendly. Food is good, cocktails so so, I recommend getting spritz instead. The only downside is that they charge 8,50 chf for a liter of carafe water (we asked for tap water). That should be for free, or way cheaper at least.

We were very surprised by this restaurant and didn't know about it until now. The staff was always very friendly and attentive. The mocktails were very fine and the food was excellent. The dishes were all well presented and the combinations were very fine. The selection is manageable and a journey of discovery of food culture. We were definitely not here for the last time.

food was really good, OK cocktails. the design of this place is awesome. great staff! the very big minus was to pay 8,5 chf per carafe of 1 L water, when we asked for tap water (which should be a human right in my opinion, especially in Switzerland). we were not made aware of the cost when ordering and were later asked if we wanted more water too, which seems like a sneaky way to squeeze more money out of customers. not nice to leave feeling tricked, after an otherwise very pleasant visit.

The food was very good. The wine list was OK (a lot of it was drunk) and the service was a bit spotty. One of the few restaurants that also welcomes guests on Sundays. A big thank you for that.

When we ordered we were asked how we would like the burgers and we chose "well done". After about an hour of waiting, we received burgers with almost raw meat. The burgers were then brought back to the cook. After about 15 minutes we received the same burger back and the meat was still bloody inside. After about 30 minutes we received a new burger which was really “well done”. As compensation there were 2 pieces of cheesecake on the house. I can't recommend the restaurant more.

A great environment to stay when travelling with work or for pleasure. Has a very relaxed bohemian vibe. Lovely range of food unlike most hotels and the wine library is a wonderful addition!

Very pleasant atmosphere there. The facility itself is modern, which I like very much. However, I liked the service best. Despite there being a lot of customers, the waitress came by our table several times and always asked if everything was OK and if we would like to order something else. Since I also know the other side of a service, where you have to wait almost half an hour until someone comes, I really appreciate this gesture. All in all, my first visit was very satisfactory and it certainly won't be my last time there. Keep it up!
