WerkStadt Lorraine in Bern

Relaxed atmosphere. Great food that makes you feel like you're doing something good for yourself. That's exactly what I'm looking for when eating out 😍

The food was extremely tasty but unfortunately an extremely small portion for the price because you pay, which I found very disappointing. The staff was nice, especially the worker who served us.

Very nice place, very good quality of products, very good. I'm taking one star off for the quantity/price ratio of the cakes which is really not correct. I'll come back and try the brunch, hoping to have enough to eat this time :)

Exciting concept. Delicious, partly homemade food. Breakfast during the week, great! Service at the table would make the whole thing more personal in my opinion ;-)

There were two of us and we had a cappuccino (handmade with oat milk!), croissants and muesli with granola. Everything is very fine. The atmosphere is very cozy and the barista is very friendly. Gladly again!

Unfortunately it is not well signposted that you have to order everything at the bar. Ordered the same thing twice but didn't receive the same things on the vegetarian plate. Price-performance ratio wasn't right. We didn't get enough bread, for CHF 20 without a drink we weren't full.

Vegetarian breakfast was far too expensive for the price of 20.-. A little bread and a little butter are not enough for this price (supplement for 4.- is almost cheeky)

Price-performance not at all consistent. I really can't recommend it.

Very alternative, but delicious.

Breakfast bowl was great, some of the staff were friendly. The person who served us was very taciturn, mumbled and seemed disinterested and annoyed. When it came to paying, he was a bit friendly, à la; they finally disappear.

Can only give one star because we were totally ignored and therefore couldn't consume anything and left after a while. Even if there is a lot going on, you should at least greet the guests and communicate that someone is coming soon or whether it is self-service. It's a shame ☹️

The coffee here is very good, one of the best I've had in Bern. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet cafe where you can work with your laptop.

This is a charity four stars--because it is such a nice place. But please please improve your coffee! It was like filter coffee that had been sitting for a while. It had none of the nice crema on the picture. My capsule coffee is better. Update: Coffee is nice now. Homemade cakes are delicious. So, my trousers had to go into the wash because of your unstable table. These are stars of mercy because it is such a cozy and friendly place. But please please do something with your watery and stale coffee! Where does the photo with the appetizing crema come from? My capsule coffee is better. Update: Now the coffee is good. And the home-made cakes are delicious. My pants had to go straight to the laundry because of a wobbly table.

We were able to hold our company Christmas aperitif in WerkStadt - a wonderful evening with delicious aperitif bricks and great natural wine. The organization and communication was refreshingly simple and relaxed. We would love to come again.

We had a wonderful lunch of momo and garden fresh salad, both amazing. Coffee was also excellent and the vibe and service are great.

Nice little café a little out of the way in Bern with a small menu. Unfortunately no gluten-free options, so one star deducted. The coffee is delicious and there is a pleasant atmosphere.

I celebrated my birthday in the Werkstadt and will have great memories of the loving hospitality and the delicious food and drinks! Everything was wonderfully uncomplicated and needs-oriented, many thanks to the Werkstadt team!

Cozy restaurant with great products, which are selected with a lot of passion by the owners in order to support small, regional producers, but also sustainable products.

A favorite place for lunch with friends. I regularly stay longer than planned because the workshop is also inviting for a leisurely coffee. An exciting and sensible concept with different culinary highlights, depending on the day of the week. If you're more hungry, you can always have a second helping. This means there are no leftover plates.

As a private person, I can say - the WerkStadt is an absolutely cozy café, with good, fair coffee and delicious lunch. As a neighborhood worker, I would like to thank the WerkStadt team for their great commitment to the neighborhood.

Sustainably run café with a focus on small-scale, local or organic products. There are vegan croissants (and more) and lunch is often vegan too. Loving atmosphere, pleasant music and a friendly team where I always feel welcome. I like being in the workshop!

Very cozy place! I often go there to drink a delicious cappucino and meet people from the neighborhood. Delicious lunch options every day and they sell sustainable food to take away.

A wonderful, beautiful place with a lot of charm. The products are carefully selected, the offering is very varied and the staff is extremely welcoming. In short: from breakfast to aperitif, you are in good hands in the WerkStadt.

With great attention to detail, the old workshop in Lorraine was transformed into a super beautiful and cozy café. There is not only good cappuccino and a delicious selection of cakes, but also daily changing lunch menus, which are highly recommended. a certificate is required. We were a family (about 20 people) and no one was checked. this is unacceptable. My friend and I paid over 80chf for which we each ate a croissant and a piece of bread at the buffet. The food is okay, better than not. I wouldn't recommend the store. except maybe for 1 coffee...

Very friendly neighbourhood coffee place with disappointing drinks. Casual, industrial look vibe, with outdoor seating in front, and back courtyard. Unfortunately on out last visit the drinks were very disappointing: the coffee was so sour as to be undrinkable, and the Chai latte was so watery it had virtually no flavor. Won't be coming by again soon.

A very cozy place in Lorraine. Staff is very friendly, I feel very welcomed every time I visit. For me the perfect place to have some Granola and a cup of coffee and chill at the backyard :)

Moderately funny, but definitely otherworldly!

Trendy and well attended There is a wide range of drinks and smaller dishes here. The decor and the bar are particularly nice. There are ice creams from the ice cream workshop here. In summer you can sit outside under the trees in front of the restaurant and watch the hustle and bustle on Lorrainestrasse. If you prefer a more cozy atmosphere, visit the inner courtyard, which offers a surprising amount of space and still houses all the equipment of a construction company! It's great here!

Becoming my new favorite among the cafes in Bern. Super cozy atmosphere, be it for meeting friends, studying, working or reading. Always friendly and warm service, which conjures up fantastic coffee (there are also milk alternatives!) I'm already looking forward to my next visit :)
