We didn't know the restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised. Warm welcome (dogs welcome), great atmosphere and really VERY GOOD food. As a guest at the restaurant 'il frutteto' (orchard) in Frauenfeld, I am always amazed by the atmosphere and the culinary offerings. Whether I just stop by for a beer or a drink or decide to have a meal, the quality and service is always excellent. The mix of tradition and modern Italian cuisine makes every visit a special experience. I particularly appreciate the opportunity to dine both in the stylish interior and on the idyllic terrace. The constantly changing menu always provides pleasant surprises. In short, I am very satisfied and look forward to many more visits to 'il frutteto'.

Not cheap, but very good and authentic!

We were here for the second time today and are again completely satisfied. The atmosphere inside is very pleasant. There is currently a rumor going around that il frutteto (the orchard) will soon be closing its doors. This is almost certainly a mix-up with the nearby Obholz restaurant, which unfortunately closed operations on November 1, 2023. (end of December 2023) -------------------------------- Everything very fresh. Good real Italian cuisine. High demands on our own quality: special requests are not simply accepted, but perfected with recommendations. Service very attentive but not intrusive. Whatever is important to me: the atmosphere in the team is right. No loud voices, even if something doesn't go as smoothly as intended. Highly Recommended. (beginning of October 2023)

The service was great! The food was amazing, we haven't eaten so well outside for a long time! Everything was fresh, the quality of the meat was excellent, it was beautifully prepared! We're happy to pay a little more! I'm still very excited! See you soon !

Italianità in Frauenfeld. Simple and very well-kept restaurant. Service friendly and prompt. Eat? Absolutely great. Very nicely presented. Wine selection very good. Recommended wine from the Marche region. You definitely have to try Tiramisu al pistacchio. Can highly recommend this restaurant.

The recently reopened restaurant advertises typical Italian cuisine. The bruschette for the starter was great, but the spaghetti alla carbonara unfortunately had a strong sour aftertaste. Service and ambience (nice sun terrace, very clean toilet) were very good. Recommended for a beer after work, but unfortunately not for lovers of Italian cuisine.

Newly opened. Very friendly, we hadn't made a reservation and the short waiting time until a table was free was shortened with a Prosecco. Food was super nice. I wish you much success.

I warmly congratulate the others who had a great experience, BUT for me...... Service emptied cola all over my back and backpack = drinks tray leaned over my back and tipped down :( My dog ​​jumped up, luckily she was tied up, otherwise she would have run out into the street in fright!! Everything is glued to the seat and back. Things were forgotten. Mishaps can always happen, so I wouldn't have taken it so badly, but when I settled the bill, nothing was paid as compensation..., instead I had to justify myself to my colleague, but he spilled coke on my back and not her!! New managing director or not, ...if someone smiles stubbornly, it doesn't mean that they are friendly, if they downplay the incident and simply dismiss it. I thought it was totally wrong!! I can't say much about the food because I only had a thin cutlet and some fries, even then the fries were cold :( Too few service staff, and some didn't speak German. Quite disadvantageous for a service job.

Newly remodeled, looks very nice inside, including the toilet. We sat outside and the garden restaurant is also very nice and spacious. It is advertised as an Italian restaurant, but you don't get pizza here, but you do get other Italian specialties. However, after asking, I received something that wasn't on the menu. (Penne all'arrabiata) which tasted fantastic. The waiter had a small mishap that I think can happen anywhere and to anyone. He also apologized a few times for it. I thought the food was excellent, the atmosphere was very nice, the service was very friendly, and in my opinion it was worth a visit. I would go here any time just because of the “arribiaten penne” 😃😃. At the end there was a round of limoncello offered by the house.

Service is very friendly and does an amazing job - they are a bit understaffed though, and certainly need help to keep up with the high numbers of customers. We were there on a Wednesday evening and the outside seating area was about 2/3 full. Service was acceptably fast, not the quickest, but OK. Nothing that could not be fixed with one or two more service staff. Food is excellent, nothing to compain about. We had the tatar (try to season it as little as possible! The meat is good, let the taste come through, don‘t overpower it with seasoning!), followed by ravioli di casa for me and risotto with blueberry for her. Both main dishes were superb. Pricing is in the upper corner, but you pay what you get. Ambience is nice outside, once the trees are fully grown, it will be a blast. I don‘t particularly like the chairs, they feel cheap and don‘t really match the rest of the restaurant. But that is my personal opinion. Can vastly recommend this place. Since we‘re from here, we‘ll definitely come again.

We were there for dinner on May 6, 2023. Since the restaurant has been under new management, the food is very, very fine, the atmosphere is very pleasant and the service is super nice. Even though the restaurant was full, there was no rush. We felt completely at home and are happy to have such a great restaurant in the area.

We were in the restaurant on November 17th, 2021 and had a very good meal there for the second time. The service was very nice and everything went well. Unfortunately, the boss at another table became so abusive that we were almost afraid that a guest got up and left the restaurant immediately. Other guests also ran away and after another insult from the boss, we also got up, paid and will certainly not visit the restaurant again. We wish the boss all the best and maybe he should get help, that's just not possible.
