Wissifluh in Vitznau

A hostel with unique views of Lake Lucerne. The rooms are very simple with a shared bathroom and toilet, which isn't actually that bad. Only mattresses that you have slept through should be replaced. The food was rather disappointing. People come here to celebrate, and you can do that very well on the viewing terrace. A private cable car is operated by the innkeeper. This way you can get to the top of the mountain and back down until midnight.

A rather unknown but no less beautiful part of the Rigis. Climbing above Vitznau reveals great views of Lake Lucerne. At the top there is either a self service offer or a mountain inn.

Perfect location with beautiful views. Nice farm with lots of animals. Unfortunately, the restaurant is only open by appointment, so we cannot rate it. There is a self-service shop with drinks.

I was born on the Wissifluh in 1938. After the old hotel burned down and the little house next to the hotel burned down, we lived in the detached bowling alley where my younger brother was born.

Wonderful views of the Alps, Lake Lucerne, etc. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed.

In one bowl there are drinks including homemade apple spritzer, very tasty 😋 The restaurant/hotel always seems to be closed unless you call in advance. The owners are also operators of the cable car and were very friendly. The view is magnificent!

Superb spot, magnificent view and an excellent meal

Unfortunately closed during our visit, we did not know that it was open on request. We were still able to fill our bottles with good cold water and the panorama is worth the detour.

Very friendly service. Beautiful place with good views and very good food. A real tip. It's also worth taking the 5-minute walk from the restaurant to the Panorama Bänkli, from which you have an absolutely unobstructed view. You should register with the restaurant by phone in advance.

Wonderful alternative to the Viznau Rigi Bahn Short walk from the Vitznau ship landing point to the Wissifluh valley station 🚡. From there you are close to paradise. Just sit in the restaurant and enjoy the view or do a little hiking first. The visit is definitely worth it. In off-peak season, call in advance and reserve. You will receive a friendly welcome.

Authentic alp hotel with very Swiss food and drinks. Rooms are simple, but nice.

Adventurous, with a cattle gondola to the panorama of the Fluh. It has very beautiful hiking trails over hill and dale, just to enjoy.

All went well. No complaints. Friendly & helpful owner. Beautiful views. Regarding a visit in Nov, would be great if the restaurant was open or there was a chance to buy a coffee & cake, but, apparently, owners can prepare food etc if called in advance.

We were there just to buy the fare ticket for the Seilbahn, they were extremely patient and kind with our coin counting though they had fullhouse.. We have to come back and try their food!

Beautiful, rustic mountain hotel with very nice staff. The view is wonderful. The rooms are rustically furnished. Also very suitable for workshops.

If I am talking about the view, it is amazing other than that I haven't tried.

A place of encounters and peace!

Messy all around. Closed. Open only with groups + registration. At least has a small bowl of chilled drinks, coffee, snacks, etc. Payment is made at will. There's a star for that.

Unfriendly, not really clean let alone inviting. I can't understand why everything is allowed to fall apart like this. Well, there are plenty of nicer places in Switzerland ☺

Wonderful decelerating place to linger. Jürg and Sylvia are a couple who run this simple mountain inn in a fantastic panoramic location with a lot of passion. The food is authentic and delicious. We'd love to come back!

Unsympathetic owner of the restaurant. Refused to give information about the cable car by telephone at 7:15 a.m. It is advisable to organize something in the garden.
