food is delicious- but the service is crazy… been there twice now, and hat both times a non amused experience. the staff is looking away from the guests but running like ants. waiting for a water and some bread more then an hour… the whole lunch took us more then three hours 🤨 and the restaurant was not full of people… congratulations to the chef, food was taking us back for a second time- but that‘s it.

The food was fine and if not for the super slow service I might return. Yet the service is not caring due to the limited staff. My drink was not what I ordered but the staff could not care less. The food arrived very late and the staffs seemed overwhelmed.

Restaurant rather expensive, we can recommend the food.

Loved the fusion menu, and dishes were tasty and well prepared. The place has a good vibe, and service is excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

What a shame. The food is actually great but the service is a disaster... not only that no one speaks German or French, so only English - OMG. Super long, unfriendly, have to keep repeating. My avocado toast took 55' and my drink took 12'!! Numbers are also impossible. And super expensive! It's just a shame, I'm definitely not coming back

The food is great, however the service is rude and very impolite, the tables and floors are dirty... overall a bad experience. I guess they're more after tourists and one-time visitors as nobody speaks German or French. Probably ok if you're just after the food/coffee, otherwise wouldn't recommend.

New restaurant in Zermatt with trendy decor and a beautiful terrace. An original menu that differs from typical Swiss dishes. Everything was delicious with interesting combinations such as eggplant and harissa, pakchoi udon, beef tataki, etc. The -: it's noisy but I'm sure the managers will remedy that very quickly!

Food was delicious and our server, I think her name was Nana, was truly one of the best servers I’ve ever had. She was so kind and accommodating for our very large group, it truly made our day. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Underground service!!! Today (March 16, 2024, 1:00 p.m.), after a hike, we visited the Zermatt Kitchen with the large terrace. When no one met or greeted us, we sat down. After a few minutes the order was taken in English by a blonde waitress. According to her statement, she doesn't know any German. Five minutes later she took the orders of two ladies at the next table in broken German. The first big drawback is that you are lied to and have to order in a foreign language in German-speaking Switzerland. We received our drinks after 10 minutes and then had to wait another 40 minutes for my Rösti. When we had enough, I asked for the bill and was ignored for another 10 minutes until I was presented with the bill and my hash browns at the same time and asked to pay in advance. Experience has shown that blonde service staff are simply cheeky, thoroughly unprofessional and extremely demotivated. In summary, we have so far avoided the restaurant for good reasons and will not set foot in this store again. As far as the service person is concerned, you should remind them that you should offer the customer a receipt and should be friendly and courteous. Furthermore, the job description should look like this: "The service employee is responsible for making guests feel comfortable in a restaurant. He/she ensures that they get their food on time, etc. Based on our experience, we advise everyone not to visit this establishment. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area with competent and friendly staff. Too bad and sad!

The food was great and the service was also very nice and accommodating. The food selection and the concept of the restaurant are modern and fun. The only negative point is the acoustics in the new rooms for dinner. The tables are very close here and the acoustics are very loud. Sound-absorbing elements would be an advantage here for a better ambience. All in all a nice evening.

AMAZING food. We went twice for brunch and it was really excellent both times. Service a bit slow but 100% worth it, and it’s a nice place so you don’t mind so much.

Newly opened a few weeks ago, we decided to try it during our trip to Zermatt and everything blew our minds. Came with a group of 7 and split a bunch of dishes that were all incredibly flavorful and unique but all paired so well together. We had the duck, the almond chicken, the pumpkin salad, the soft shell crab, and a bunch of delicious cocktails. The staff was friendly and kind and the ambiance was perfection. Loved every minute here and will definitely come back next time I’m in Zermatt!

Very good and tasty food. Expensive but it’s Zermatt and it seems to be nicely sourced ingredients. Stools not comfortable at all and music a lil bit too loud.

Food is good. Serves are friendly but it will take forever for anything due to the lack of servers, or server I should say. You often feel forgotten and need to go to the counter to get anything done/moving.

Loved the place. Perfect for a brunch or breakfast. If you feel like eating a bit more than simple croissants, this place is for you. Food was delicious although a bit pricey. Service was sooo friendly and charming. They also treated our dog with a lot of respect.

We regularly come here for brunch/lunch, the Asian infusion is very tasty! We decided to visit for dinner too, this was also very nice and tasted fresh and home made.

It is an excellent restaurant with an excellent menu and reasonable prices, unlike most restaurants in Zermatt, where you get a very mediocre dish for a very high price. Try the marinated chicken for 15 hours. They also have the best coffee in town. Matcha Latte, Cappuccino, espresso. If it's warm at lunch, you can sit outside with a stunning view of the Matterhorn and the river.

Great! The hospitality and warm welcome made the experience special. All the employees are extremely friendly and speak many languages, which makes a visit to Zermatt Kitchen highly recommended.

i would sincerely like to say that this cafe is literally the whole package of what a truly call amazing!! food, coffee, service & ambience was truly great!! tonkatsu pork sandwich: this was great the pork belly was fatty and juicy!! However, i do find the tonkatsu sauce just a tad too sour. chickpea fritters: this was great, seasoning and flavour of the fritters was really good would recommend getting this!! white: coffee was good, really well-balanced not too acidic neither too bitter! service was really good!! i was served by this beautiful young lady who was really attentive!! would def come back again in the near future!!

Amazing address! One of the best diner we had in Zermatt! From starter to main course and desserts, everything was taste-full and well executed. If you need a break from steakhouse and cheese meal, please come! You won’t be disappointed!

After a long wait and saying twice, the Kafffeder arrived - it's really good Warm chocolate for children in a cup that you can't hold properly, a no-go. Sweets are ok. Lots of small disagreements from the staff. Food looks beautifully prepared.

Always good for brunch, the eggs, avocado and bacon are really good. The coffee is also out is world! Highly recommended

Great little brunch spot in a town that apparently is not stoked on brunch! So glad we stopped in here, the food was so good and it’s nestled right along the river. As a California girl, this avocado toast absolutely hit the spot. A top 10 I’ve ever had 🥑 💕 If you’re hungry, stop in for coffee, a drink and/or some great food. Excellent service as well!

Food was not quite up to par. The beef tataki was frankly disappointing! Instead of a traditional beef tataki which should be thinly sliced beef seared with high heat but still raw in the middle, the beef tataki was some pan-fried chewy cuts of beef. As for fish course, the seabass was a tad bland. Only the chicken dishes came out enjoyable.

Really nice food and great atmosphere if you want to get out of the traditional swiss food. Really recommend it!!

This place is a joke! One of their “signature” dishes is a tomato salad with olive oil (in the middle of December 😅) all without accompaniment. Their röstis are the smallest ever seen (we're Swiss) for the modest sum of CHF 22.-! When we reported our disappointment to the waitress, she did not react. Unfortunately we had to eat elsewhere to be satisfied.

Absolutely delectable pastries - world class croissant and best pistachio croissant I’ve ever had. And amazing speciality coffee (they roast their own coffee beans). They have decaf coffee and have vegan options (like oat milk). A wonderful place to visit anytime of day!

Fantastic drinks — the only place in Zermatt to get proper coffee and interesting non alcoholic soft drinks, nothing on the menu disappointed. The food was also nice, didn’t try any of their sweet things but the asian fusion fish dish was unexpectedly nice. If it opens earlier we would’ve more chances to visit, will definitely revisit whenever in Zermatt again

Very nice atmosphere and the guys working there are super nice, sadly the portion was very small for the price and the food didn't sit well with me and another person at my table (as in, we had stomach problems afterwards) Would have been nice to have some "filler food", or some bread or stuff like that if the client is already ordering a main course and they're small Like idk having the fries be cheaper if you get them as a side for a main course (15chf for sweet potato fries is a bit crazy even for Switzerland) Coffee was also great Also the menu had all the info on allergens and stuff, very nice

Best food I had in Switzerland! Every dish was outstanding and the service was super friendly. We almost missed this place walking by, but were very happy we stopped for an amazing dinner. Make sure to check this place out!

The service was as international as it was warm and attentive. Every single detail of the food was innovative and well thought out, skilled craftsmanship, high quality and tasteful. The coffee was the best far and wide. Honey with tea would have been great. Overall, we were thrilled and found our favorite Zermatt café. It's a shame we can't take it home with us 😉..

Food was delicious. Chef accommodated a request for a plain rosti as we had not yet had the opportunity to try one in Switzerland. Eggs were excellent- light and fluffy! Yum! Wish we would have had room for the pistachio pastry as that looked good too.

First of all, the terrace view was great and the brunch looked really delicious, but I didn't feel well so I just ate some bread and a drink and left. If I come again next time, I will definitely order brunch!

Being regular guests at Aroleid run by the same chef we have finally made it to the Zermatt Kitchen today in the evening for some food and drinks. We have shared a delicious crab tempura and drunk some nice Italian rose. Combined with a fantastic Matterhorn view this place is a winner. Apart from the aubergine main with dukka which was amazing, I wouldn't write home about this place. Rest of the food was decent. Didn't like the flies milling about either..

Super great restaurant with excellent food! Service was very good and overall we were extremely satisfied! The only point of criticism was the liter of tap water cost 8 Chf... Otherwise they do an absolutely great job!!

Despite being popular and busy at lunch time when I arrived, their service was prompt, friendly and in English. Being a tourist town I guess I just expected that. So that was appreciated. I ordered the avocado and eggs, served with crispy bacon and thick toast. Generous serve of avocado and seasoned nicely too. Generous serving size overall and very tasty. Reasonably priced too.

The coolest place in Zermatt. The menu is thoughtful, and made for sharing. Drinks (they even have real Kombucha!) were so good we came back for a coffee the next day. Can’t wait to make this a regular stop on all of our trips to Zermatt!

An amazing location. Incredibly creative & delicious food and drink menu. The Kombucha is the best we’ve ever tried. Such a special vibe. Staff super friendly. So many unique and tasty options designed for sharing and fun / social experience. Perfect place for a couple of for a larger group. The coffee is insanely good, with all the beans roasted in-house. A must visit when in Zermatt !

One of the rudest places I’ve ever been. We were waiting in line for takeout. The woman at the counter served the woman behind us then turned around to fill bases rather than acknowledging us. Would definitely never come back.

Best place to get coffee in Zermatt!!!’ Definitely a specialty coffee shop! The coffee is roasted locally and it is to die for! They have vegan milk alternatives. I got my cappuccino with oat milk. The barista knows what he’s doing and the espresso was extracted beautifully! Although it is a restaurant, you can get the best coffee as well! This place is a must if you’re in Zermatt!!!

The café has a pleasant atmosphere although, in my opinion, the music is a bit loud. The coffee (drink) is good even though it arrived at the table lukewarm.

I went to this restaurant for a light brunch in Zermatt and it was really delicious. It's a bread-like dish topped with veal, and it was the most satisfying meal I had on this trip!
