Z'Mutt in Zermatt

Very friendly staff, everything is homemade. Apple pie is particularly recommended. Everything has to be paid for in cash.

Awesome food, service and unique atmosphere among the old buildings in the middle of a remote valley.

Excellent moment of sharing around refined food and attentive service. The prices are correct given the locations and the difficulties of access. Plus, unlike the other places, they accept card payments. We found the Valais platter very well stocked and the Röstis with pork sausage delicious.

Extremely poor service, can't be bothered to serve you because you are English speaking 🙁

The advertising speaks for itself. The bar owner himself doesn't say a word to the guests in the bar. When the guests start hiking again, they are almost run over by the restaurant owner because he is driving so fast in his jeep. Completely incomprehensible on such a route with so many people.

Adorable restaurant with a lovely patio, perfect for a mid-hike lunch! We had a mushroom cream rosti and a salad which were both fantastic. Take the gondola to Furi and hike back down to Zermatt through Zmutt to stop at this gem!

We were at Z'Mutt with twelve people unannounced. We got a table easily. We had our food within a short time. Fast and friendly service and the food was great. I have known Z'Mutt for over thirty years and am always impressed. I would like to thank Guschti and Konsti and his team. Always happy.

There are beautiful places in the Valais mountains, the beautiful Valais houses and beautiful floral decorations. And you can never miss a chapel.

An extremely charming and typical place. The dishes are local and relatively elaborate, without being ultra fine gastronomy. A very good place to eat when you get out of Zermatt!

This was one of the best (if not the best) restaurants during this trip to Switzerland. Do yourself a favor and ask the rosti with cheese and tomatoes. It’s delicious!!! The wine was perfect and came in the correct temperature. Beer was also perfect. Very attentive and friendly service! Don’t miss the dessert! It’s to die for! Truly gem of a place that everyone should go. There’s a pleasant and easy hike to get there.

Great beer garden with tasty comfort food. You could easily spend an afternoon here. The hike back to Zermatt will burn off the calories

I come from Spain and we already know the food. But the kindness, friendliness and service more than make up for it. Typical Swiss village that no longer exists

It was the best meal I had when I came to Switzerland. My pregnant wife ate it all and said it was delicious. They say Switzerland is famous for potatoes. It contains potatoes. The food is really delicious. I recommend it.

Wonderful place to have a snack. In the village of Zmutt, Zermatt. Access via the Matterhorn Trail (number 29 in the city guide). Great service.

We were well received and served there. The ham röstis with fried egg were excellent, as well as the Valais plate. The homemade cold tea was very popular. The atmosphere is pleasant and there is a good atmosphere.

Quaint Swiss village with a restaurant. Delicious food and drinks. Pleasant atmosphere. Nice people. Fast service. On the way from Furi over the dam back to Zermatt, this is a great place to stop off!

Just had a late lunch here and it’s absolutely fabulous! Great service from a young gentleman and lady and great food. Do try their daily specials and you will not regret it!

We went in November and everything was closed, the place is beautiful like all its surroundings, you can walk from Zermatt in approximately 1 hour, it is worth the trip.

We stumbled into this village by sheer accident while on a hike. We had run out of water in our water bottles and the small restaurant filled them up with tap water and would not let us pay anything. They were very kind and generous and it was a beautiful little village

A wonderful mini village on the footpath from Furi to Zermatt. After just under 40 minutes you reach Zmutt, where you should plan a stop for a snack and something to drink. Beautifully located, warm service and after refreshment you can reach Zermatt in about an hour.

Great little hike in spot for beverage and a rest. Take the upper (high) hiking route, if able. The views are worth it.

Nice little village about 3km further up from Zermatt. U can see the tip of Matterhorn from ZMutt. There is also a nice cafe that serves Rivella, beer, and some snacks while basking the sun on the open terrace. The last bit of the road is gravel though. So road cyclists take note

This restaurant is worth it. Allow 1 hour from Zermatt. Once there, a very cozy setting and dishes prepared with taste and delicacy await you. My ravioli with goat's cheese and truffle oil sauce, for example, were a pure marvel. !!! there are two restaurants in Zmutt, choose the right one...

Such a good food! Even better than most restaurants down in Zermatt town. Ingrédients are so fresh and good. The best Carpaccio I ever ate, year after year. And the service is perfect! The owner and the staff are always fantastic. Don't change anything!!!

A rarely beautiful mountain village, with a small history museum

Wonderful walk to Zmutt from the Furi cable car and then back down to Zermatt on the zmuttweg. Café in Zmutt serves fabulous food and drinks at reasonable prices considering how isolated Zmutt is. About an hour from Furi and another hour down to Zermatt so perfect for a half day walk. The early summer alpine meadows on the zmuttweg to Zermatt are glorious.

Really atypical restaurant. There are tables in small areas around the kitchen and bar. The service person was very friendly and responsive. I was served with a lot of smiles even though there were a lot of people. For a stop during a walk this is the ideal place.

Nice place to visit near Zermatt with several nice restaurants. The hike back via Hubel offers a beautiful view of the Matterhorn (good shoes for the descent to Zermatt!).

Beautiful place with great food and drinks

Picturesque village in the typical Valais style and with the Matterhorn behind you. Absolutely worthwhile destination for a hike from Zermatt.

Perched on a small hill, in a group of old small alpine chalets. You will find a charming little restaurant where you can eat a very good dessert and drink a very good beer. A little haven of peace, quiet and far from the tourist crowds. In short, a stopover on your return trip from the Matterhorn.

It is quite incredible to go out on a route through the mountains and find a place like this, but in Switzerland it is normal, it also has cable car access which makes it very accessible for anyone.

Unlike the busy Zermatt, it is a peaceful and beautiful town. It is close to Zermatt, so it is a great place to enjoy a meal or light snacks and drinks at a nice restaurant after a light hike.

A must in Zermatt, only accessible on foot / approx. 35 minutes from Furi
