Today on the beautiful terrace, not that many people. Very nice service and also quick service. Desserts were all top notch. The price normal.

I have rarely been so surprised by a restaurant. The fish and the Solothurn wine soup are fantastic!

For lunch in rather cool but nice weather. Therefore not too heavily documented. Friendly, courteous service. Varied menu with an international, exotic touch. Beautiful, green fresh salad, chicken with red curry and piccata with saffron risotto were served quickly and tasted good.

Food absolutely top. Everything freshly prepared, great taste. Plus super friendly staff.

Super nice view. Right Schnipo portion at a decent price. Friendly. Unfortunately I had to adjust the rating because I had stomach pains and other things after the Schnipo. Since I have a sensitive stomach, I assume they don't use fresh oil for frying.

Had lunch with my colleagues on Tuesday. I was surprised at how good the food was, how quick it was, and how friendly the service was. HATS OFF !!!

Eat with a view of the Aare. Very friendly staff. Very good food. And beautifully presented. Vegetarian, meat, fish and mussels all fresh. Addendum: our reservation was not honored! Suddenly our table was not available, an absolute no go.

I think this restaurant is just perfect. I've been here x times and everything is just great!! I find the various negative reviews simply absurd! I always come back and can only recommend it!

The most beautiful thing is the garden and view of the lake.

The scheduled boat stops at the bottom of the river and the terrace is large and has a view of the Aare. During the season you can also see many storks and their nests. Also has a small Park, about the storks, where you can find out how it came about... It's interesting

Very nice restaurant meaning a wonderful view of the Aare. Service was very friendly and quick. I don't think the price/performance ratio is entirely consistent with dessert. Price a bit high for 2 scoops of ice cream, some berries and unfortunately no cream. Nevertheless, I would recommend the restaurant based on the ambience alone.

The friendliness of the service staff leaves a lot to be desired. Ambience great. Food is good, but it also has its price. When we paid, we were only told the total amount without us seeing the invoice.

The restaurant is located on the river bank. This creates a beautiful atmosphere. The service is not intrusive, sometimes you need to search. The food is delicious. If you don't want to eat, no problem. You can just grab something to drink. You will not be forced to eat. We go there very often in the summer

After 2 visits (everyone deserves a 2nd chance) I have to say that part of the service is a disaster. The employees who take the orders are inattentive, overwhelmed and rude. However, the employees who deliver the food and drinks are very nice.

We had lunch on the terrace today on this late summer day. The terrace was of course full with guests and the service was almost non-existent. When we were finally able to order, the food arrived quickly. The food was excellent. Unfortunately the waiter wasn't that friendly, but all in all a top restaurant!

This restaurant is an oasis on the Aare in Altreu. Understandably, there are a lot of people outside in the garden in high season, which detracts from the experience somewhat. Friendly, helpful and competent staff.

We stopped here because we were on a bike tour. The restaurant is beautifully located on the Aare and at the ferry station to Leuzigen. We just drank a cappuccino and ate a nut bar. Both were very fine. The menu made a very good impression. The location - directly on the Aare - makes this place particularly attractive. The staff is friendly and courteous. Of course, the garden restaurant with a view of the water is particularly recommended.

In convivial company with family members, we decided to frequent this establishment with the intention of enjoying refreshing drinks amidst a charming view. After our arrival we were warmly greeted as we chose our seat. However, despite the manageable number of guests at this point, we experienced a noticeable delay in service, which made us wait for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, which can definitely be considered suboptimal. When our order was finally taken, we were surprised by the remarkable efficiency with which the drinks were served. One drawback, however, was the lack of small companions, such as nuts or similar snacks, which can intensify the enjoyment of the drinks. Overall, the experience was satisfactory, although there is room for improvement.

We ate mussels. Prepared three times in a different way. I have never received such a large portion anywhere. It was so delicious. We enjoyed a mixed salad as a starter. Generous portion and the PLUS the homemade salad dressing from the bottle that you can serve yourself. Very fine. The service was incredibly nice and also humorous and attentive. On July 25th, 2023, the three of us attended a birthday dinner. In fact, it smelled of cigarette smoke in the winter garden. No, that didn't come from outside. A guest in the restaurant was smoking at the table with an ashtray under the table. The guest was only amused by the fact that we were horrified. When the host or waiter was asked about it, he was visibly embarrassed but didn't do anything. Is it actually the case that such behavior is tolerated in this restaurant? Despite the good food, we will no longer visit or recommend this restaurant. It's a shame and shameful in this day and age.

Delicious food. From 7:00 p.m. around 70 storks can be observed on the roofs all around. Fantastic view of the Aare from the garden terrace.

We arrived to have a drink. 6 people. One of us can’t have carbonated drinks and the only options were raspberry syrup water or water. We asked for the syrup, 2 dl. The waiter told us that we had to order 5dl because 2 is for kids. The menu says nothing about it. We told the waiter that this lady never tasted it before and didn’t know whether she would like it or not. The waiter then told us that raspberries exist in Africa, America, Europe, everywhere. I told him that syrups are not common in Spain, where the lady comes from, and could she please taste it before. He rudely said she has to buy the bigger glass. He then brought us our order wrong. I had asked for plain water and he brought it with gas. When I told him that I had ordered it without, he told me, do you sant to have it ir leave? in an ever ruder tone. “I want my plain water.” I then asked to see the manager and he said no, just leave it like this. I insisted and then was taken to see the alleged manager. This second manager told us the first manager is in charge of our table and he believed him. So there you go, waiters can be rude as hell and we, as clients, have no rights. They can ill treat us and we need to put up with it. I will not return

A very beautiful and atmospheric place. The waiters are friendly, the kitchen works quickly. The food is delicious. Large selection of Movenpick ice creams with very good presentation!!! But be prepared for Swiss prices! Dinner will not be cheap.

where we got there and we said we had reserved in the name it already started 2 people we reserved and they said no you have reserved for 4 people. We then showed the confirmation and it was absolutely clear that we had made the right reservation. then went to the table, very nice view of the lake, really beautiful. Then we waited and waited. The waiter first went to a different table to take the order than ours, but the table came later than us and got to it sooner... after that it went really quickly. We ordered and the starters were really great the price is a huge portion. Then I had the main course... my fries were burnt, my liver was burnt, some were too cooked, some weren't cooked at all... we were never asked if we liked it and whether everything was OK. We were completely ignored. The plates stood on our tables for a very long time until someone cleared them up and asked, did we like it? I said no, the fries were so done, you can't eat them anymore, why do you put it on a plate when you see it? We didn't even get any compensation or any compensation, the waiter wasn't interested. We asked for the bill because it had wiped us out.. then the next shock my water cost more than my husband's beer.... sri the restaurant is history for us... a real shame

Nice place right on the Aare. Exciting stork colony with nests on the roof. Large garden restaurant under huge trees. Unfortunately, it's completely overcrowded on nice days. As a result, partly longer waiting times. The food is OK, but not great either, large menus, good value for money. But a lot is prefabricated in order to be able to serve the many people. Large selection of ice cream coups. Generous portions. Service OK, but since there are a lot of foreign staff, you won't always be understood in German. We had to speak English. But they try very hard. I can't judge the inside of the restaurant and what it's like during the week.

The atmosphere is beautiful. We ordered a fitness plate with crispy fish, price CHF 33. The food came quickly and was ok, nothing more and nothing less. Instead of tartar sauce (as noted on the menu), industrial garlic mayonnaise was served. What really bothered us were two male, unkempt and "snotty" service staff. A pity. A beautiful place also requires good service.

We were in the garden restaurant with 4 children and a dog and felt really welcome. This is not a given. The food came really quickly, although the garden restaurant was fully occupied. And the service was excellent despite the language barrier with the waiter...

The service is disgusting. The waiter was rude to us and ruined our mood. And we had to wait a long time until they approached us. The food is delicious, but a little expensive. I ordered water without gas, and they brought it to me with gas. And they brought a broken glass. And there were a couple more unpleasant moments. We won't go there again.

Very nicely located restaurant right on the Aare. There were six of us there, the drinks came quickly. The food took a little longer but there were a lot of people there on a Sunday evening. Almost all of the food comes together. My meat was good but could have been warmer. But unfortunately the salad wasn't all fresh - that was noticeable, which was a shame! The coffee was good and everyone also liked the dessert and looked nice. The service worked well and deserved praise.

On warm days, the outdoor area under the huge plane tree is perfect for a cozy meal. The location is directly on the Aare including shipping docks, from which you can take ships towards Solothurn or Biel. The many nesting storks in the area also create a uniquely beautiful atmosphere. The portions are huge, the food is good, even if the strawberry tart didn't seem entirely homemade. ;) It sometimes takes a while until you can order, but the food comes to the table pretty quickly.

Beautifully located on the Aare. Food was decent and staff polite. There are sometimes a lot of children there, it would be nice if there were a little better play opportunities or a small playground there than the small chain carousel for money (it's not really suitable for children under 5 anyway).
