Une cuisine raffinée avec beaucoup de produits frais de la région. A recommander absolument. Bien mieux que ce que l'on trouve au centre d'appenzell

We spent the afternoon/evening here on New Year's Eve. Great menu with local products and a large selection of drinks, especially lots of good wine. The service was organized, attentive and well organized. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Despite it being New Year's Eve, the Engel was not overcrowded and we had a great table. A visit to Urnäsch is always worth it, as is a visit to Engel. We'll be back - not just on the next old New Year's Eve.

That was as great as the whole day. Simply beautiful. The food was very good. We had cheese pätzli with various vegetables. Absolutely recommended. And finally, the service was so laid out, unbelievable. The service, who usually works in an office and helped out, was really strong. Friendly, funny and pretty too .It was a great day, thank you Urnäsch.👍🧡

From the outside it's an inconspicuous older farmhouse. But inside a cozy Appenzeller parlor. Cordon Bleu with Mostbröckli and of course Appenzeller cheese.

Unfortunately I have to write a worse review than I had before. The sandwich and the other salty offerings are unfortunately extremely overpriced, the small amount of toppings doesn't make up for the price, and the size also leaves a lot to be desired. Normal rolls (unfilled) are sometimes very, very small. The chocolate croissants are still tasty, normal croissants are less so. I can't say anything about the pastry/confectionery area because I never took advantage of this offer. Service is quite OK.

The restaurant is well set up for the family and the kids have fun (The train is really funny) and the pizza is really good. Only the service from the service staff is quickly challenged/overwhelmed. You can also make the green salad much better yourself. Conclusion: The Pizza and the Train does a good job in this restaurant!

Very nice view of the Säntis and Churfirsten. Simple but very good for eating.
