pizzas are great and the restaurant is very nice. house dressing for the salad was terrible. also they were very pushy because they booked the table twice.

The food is fine, there's no question about it - but we were missing that certain something in all of the dishes that would elevate the food from "good" to "outstanding" (and I think you can expect more than just "good" given the prices quoted) . This applies to my taste, especially when it comes to seasoning (and just put a salt and pepper mill on the table! Salt and pepper in homeopathic doses for a larger group is simply tedious). But that's a matter of taste overall. As was the service, which was extremely attentive to us. So much so that at times it became a bit tiring that someone was constantly supplying something, stocking up, refilling, etc. (for example salt and pepper in homeopathic doses...). But if it were different, others would write that the service wasn't present enough... If you want to eat boringly well in the best sense of the word and enjoy the full attention of the service, you are definitely in good hands here - the ambience is very nice and cozy.

The Bellavista restaurant represents by far the highest culinary experience in the Engadine; in one place you can appreciate all the wonderful characteristics and qualities of the area. The warmth of the fine inlays in pine wood define every corner of the restaurant (lit by the large windows overlooking the pastures adjacent to Lake Silvaplana-Surlej and framed by the majestic surrounding mountains) allowing you to live a different experience every time you come to this place, and sit at a different table. The high cuisine offers extremely refined and exquisitely prepared dishes, by the expert hands of the Kleger chefs (father and son); the local game is absolutely worth trying (hunted directly and personally by them in their personal reserve) and cooked in all its refined forms and extremely high expressions. The dessert menu is highly sought after and the wine selection is vast. In the dining room, the courtesy and professionalism of the staff (all of them) is always under the constant and careful control of the owner. At any time of the day (breakfast - for hotel guests - lunch and/or dinner), at any time of the year (spring, summer, autumn or winter) the Bellavista restaurant is THE point of reference in the valley. Anyone who finds themselves passing through this region MUST absolutely stop in this restaurant and plan on returning again as soon as possible.
