The Coric family welcomed us so warmly that we immediately felt at home. For starters we ordered excellent dishes such as sautéed scampi al aglio, pizzas and bruschette as tapas, which were accompanied by a glass of excellent white wine. We were regulars at the previous restaurant 'Alberobello'. As we stood in front of the closed door, we were made aware of a change in tenant. The restaurant is now called Stella Leone. We were there yesterday for testing. Unfortunately, it doesn't come close to its predecessor at all: every restaurant has its own dishes. First disappointment: The pasta dishes were massively shortened. The card comes in 'Turi style' and is fully plasticized. Very loveless. Our favorites are no longer on the menu. Homemade pasta is missing. The spaghetti Bolognese is run of the mill. Cozze or other sea creatures - no sign. Also the pizzas: They are good - but nothing more. The food is OK. But interchangeable. We are thinking about whether we should go to this restaurant specifically for the meal. The Stella Leone has lost a lot of quality compared to its predecessor. A pity. We have lost our local restaurant. By the way (and the new landlords can't help it, but still): We probably ate there once or twice a week for 5 years. And we always had our regular place. They couldn't give it to us anymore because apparently (the exact spot) was reserved... But this table remained empty during our stay...
