Alpenblick in Meilen

A cozy country pub, in summer and autumn with a beautiful garden terrace under shady trees. The food, from pork chops to butchers and desserts, is really good and the prices are moderate. Unfortunately, the "Rösti" made from uncooked potatoes is not convincing; a real Rösti takes a little more time, but tastes worlds better!

Very loud but worth it. A traditional company with history. Great “Metzgete”! Ate crispy rösti, fine blood sausage and liver sausage, apple pieces and sauerkraut. For dessert, a large meringue shared with cream. Everything was super fine.

Excellent cuisine! There is really extraordinarily good food here, the Züri Geschnetzelte is very good, but the cutlet and the goulash (!) are also highly recommended. There is also very good beer and a beautiful view of the mountains from the beer garden under the trees, from which the Resti owes its name. Unfortunately it wasn't a particularly nice experience. You can tell that the staff are not restaurateurs. We were hardly greeted. We ate a fitness plate with very little salad on it for 26.50. Overall there was about as much salad as there is normally as a menu salad. When we brought this up at the end, the waitress said, somewhat ironically, that we were saving money. In my opinion, she would have to react and respond completely differently. When we wanted to split the bill, she made no attempt to figure it out for us. So we had to do it ourselves. It's all a shame, because we won't be coming back under any circumstances.

It was a sunny Sunday afternoon. Roast beef with potato salad is wonderful. The service was kind but totally overstrained. Our booked table wasn't ready. After having to wait 30 minutes to order drinks, we were eventually not sad when the main course came together with the starter. The wine we chose on the Manu was not available. After another 30 minutes waiting in vain to order the dessert, we finally gave up and went home for our homemade dessert.
