Alptraumli Grottino in Arosa

Food, service and ambience are quite ok. My girlfriend and I weren't particularly hungry and wanted to share a pizza. We were charged an additional 5 francs for this. WITHOUT warning us.

Unfortunately, they charged us 5 euros for each of the 3 glasses of tap water, because you cannot order bottles, which we also asked to refill and they charged another 5 euros for each new glass.... the same 5 euros as a beer

If i want to visit arosa and have some italian food I would come here. The food came out very quickly and it was good. Sadly they don’t have hot chocolate, and the waitress didn’t understand when i asked for it. She brought us chocolate ice cream instead. We took it with humorously.

Five of us had dinner here on the recommendation and short-term reservation of our hotel. We were happy to get such a good table on a Saturday evening in high season. The food was top and everyone enjoyed it. The young waiter from Greece tried very hard and served us really well. The beautiful waitress from Spain served us very friendly and always with a magical smile. The manager was also very concerned about our well-being and gave us good advice about the wine. At least I will definitely come back.

A visit is definitely worth it for anyone who values ​​quality, speed and good value for money.

Shame to have a negative review as most of mine are positive... Personally, I'm not a fan. Service was friendly, but some strange practices. The food was poor, which, for the price point (more than anything even on the mountain) and at a lower quality is not acceptable. Spaghetti was watery, barely any meat with it. One thing I cannot forgive, despite ordering drinks, still charged 2.5chf for tap water per person. They also charged 5chf for parmasan for spaghetti. Never seen this before and would not go back. They seemed to try and find any chance to add money to the bill. Eaten at a few places, this is not one worth visiting.

The place has been pretty much the same for many, many years. But the service and food was excellent.

I can highly recommend this pizzeria, super fresh salad and the pizza and tiramisu were also great. Likewise the delivery time, 1a👍 Would happily order again.

The pizzeria is focused on efficient and uncomplicated service, and yet I have to say we enjoyed one of the best pizzas we have ever had here. They really do it perfectly :-) Dear service, remember to still ask for dessert, even if the kitchen is closed at 10 p.m., because the panna cotta prepared was wonderful. Nice restaurant, friendly, authentic service. 🇮🇹 Tables a bit very close to each other. The places will be cleared and reallocated quickly. Pizza & pasta delicious and fresh. 🍕 Salad buffet modest but fresh. 🥗 Nice selection of wine and grappa for the grown-ups, special children's menu for the little ones. 😉

Very loud/hectic. Mass processing. The food is okay so far, but nothing special. The ravioli are not homemade.

On a second visit the food, especially the pizza, was much better, which is why I subsequently gave the food 4 stars. The service and ambience are 4 stars, the food, I had pizza, which unfortunately didn't meet my expectations, and the prices quoted are unfortunately only 3 stars. In high season it is advisable to reserve a table in advance between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m.

We were there on December 26th. very spontaneous lunch there. 2 adults with 3 kids. The staff was super friendly and the boss also asked how we liked it. All changes to the standard menu were implemented without any problems. Everyone liked the food and came very quickly. Minor drawback: The chairs were definitely outdated and weren't particularly comfortable. We'd love to come back.

There were 5 of us and unfortunately everyone was disappointed. The prices would be OK if the goods were at least fresh and homemade, but the beef bullion soup tastes no different than a Maggi cube, and the tortellini are also not homemade, etc. Spaghetti is brought upstairs in Tupperware from the kitchen in the basement and the staff However, he speaks almost no German in any language. Another big point is that the men's toilet not only smelled unpleasantly of urine but also really smelled! No thanks

I had a great experience at the pizza restaurant. The pizza was delicious and Costa's service was excellent. His friendly manner and quick service made my visit very pleasant. I will definitely come back!

Price performance is not right here at all. The food was barely edible and would have been better if you had made it yourself at home. The service wasn't bad, but we didn't really feel welcome. But people were asked to leave before their time was up because the new guests were already here.

The staff was very unfriendly, you didn't even get ketchup & mayo, they said "we'll get in trouble from the kitchen". The pizza wasn't good at all, there were too many toppings. The three of us had to sit outside because there was no space, 5 minutes later a group of 7 came and were able to sit inside without a reservation. Everyone who picked up a pizza and opened it in front of the store had a very bad reaction. I would avoid the restaurant and will never eat there again. Price-wise: Pizza with a drink at CHF 28 is too expensive in my opinion.

Pizza is okay, but the friendliness has room for improvement. Since the pizzeria is usually full in the winter season, you can obviously afford a certain arrogance! The salad buffet at the entrance where everyone walks 30 cm next to it is a hygiene nightmare...

Wish I had a pizza instead, the carbonara needs to be a lot better for price

The service was excellent. The gnocchi with tomato sauce was delicious. Many thanks to the nice waitress named Matina who warmly welcomed us and served us with a smile. We felt very well looked after.

Risotto Al Funghi with canned mushrooms?? YOU ARE NOT SERIOUS?!! It was simply horrible. My granddaughter ordered gnocchi. Bubblegum would have been the correct name. You feel absolutely unwelcome when the menu is on the table at 6.30 p.m. and it is reserved again at 8 p.m.... we have been to your place every time, but certainly not anymore. A pity. This is about mass production and maximum profit!!! The ambience as well as the service was good. Everything else is a disaster. Not again.

Quality of the food was good. After initial difficulties, the operation was OK. After you have been at the table for 5 minutes, the board provocatively states that the table will be reserved again in 90 minutes. You no longer feel like you are at Amico in the Liebingsgrotto. What is cheeky, however, is that you are charged CHF 5 for a glass of 3dl of water (grotto water), even if you drink wine at the same time. The additional mushrooms on the children's pizza are also charged more expensively (CHF 2.50) than the additional additions for the adults (anchovies CHF 2.-). Conclusion: Food is good, the price is not.

Small portions, does not taste italian at all, is like very cheap cooking. Waiters are walking over the heads of kids with warm dishes, super dangerous. Tiramisu was the ugliest i had in my all life. Very small portion, very very less chocolate, 1 cookie only was tasing like coffee, the rest was half mascarpone half cream. When i told is not good, the cook came out to look at me in a bad and scary way. I was sincerly scary.... i will never come again. This has nothing to do with italian kitchen.

One of the saddest pizzas I have ever eaten. Probably the happiest customers were the flies - they were all over the place. A glass of tap water is 5 sfr.

The beer was warm, the pizza was flat but edible. I ordered a tuna pizza with gorgonzola but unfortunately there was no gorgonzola on it... When I told the waiter why I couldn't taste and why i couldn’t see the gorgonzola she said it was because I put too much parmesan on the pizza which was supposed to be free... there was also an unpleasant smell associated with the meal. Nothing to do with Italian gastronomy:)

Pizzas are expensive but good. The staff should get into the habit of writing down the orders, as unfortunately something is often forgotten (we have been there many times). Until now we had always eaten pizzas. Today we went with friends and wanted to try other dishes. The lasagna really has far too little mince in it and too much cheese - unfortunately that doesn't have much to do with an authentic lasagne. The ravioli were just fine, for 23.- you can expect more. The starter (bruschetta), which we unfortunately had to eat with the main course, was bland and I don't understand why 2 pieces of white bread with a little tomato and olive oil cost 14.-. Next time we'll probably stick with pizzas again. Recommended for a pizza stop!

Gorgeous, warm little Italian eatery in Arosa. Authentic Italian service and food. The mushroom risotto was a true delight and the pizzas were crispy and tasty. Worth the visit.
