Very nice service, nice view, clean toilets. One thing I don't understand why people come who don't order anything and just sit at a table, people come who want a drink and have no place to sit because of people like that. How do you go to a bar just to sit at a table and talk, better go home. Otherwise everything is fine, I highly recommend it, we will definitely come back

Disrespectful... the sound makes the music... The terrace was full, many had to stand, but three places were still reserved for the staff. You might want to consider who the customer is...

On Saturday evening we wanted to have a drink on the roof terrace. It was very busy and all the tables were occupied except for two seats at the bar (right side). When we wanted to sit down there, the employee at the bar said we weren't allowed to sit there. This place is reserved for employees to take a break. We told him that when the employees come to take a break, we would get up and give up the space, which I actually don't think is right. I'm a customer and pay, so the employees on the other side should take a break or go downstairs - there's enough space. The gentleman at the bar told us to sit at a table where no one was available. I have never experienced such service. I don't recommend this bar.

Chic jungle inspired decor inside and a nice rooftop outside overlooking Basel and the Rhein. Friendly bartenders Kourosh and Jay will help you find a wine that's not too sweet. Kourosh's own mezcal margarita is 10/10

Trendy bar with great views of the city. The rooftop patio is so great. Inside bar atmosphere is amazing. Really nice decor. Recommend the Hugo and the margarita. Servers were really friendly and willing to customize your drink. Fun crowd of all types and ages. Patio had plenty of space.

Nice view and furnishings. Unfortunately the bar service was very slow. After the second drink we moved on. Waiting in line for 10 minutes for a 9.00 beer...probably not. The rooftop bar was closed even though the terrace was full.

Great bar on the roof terrace of the tower. When the weather is nice it will be difficult to find a place. But it's worth the wait, a beautiful view of the Rhine side of the old town.

It's very small and cute. You need quite some luck or get there early enough to secure a spot for yourself. The view from up there is magnificent. The staffs are very nice. However, only the roof terrace is open to which I couldn't get coffee or snacks at all. (And there is no elevator to the roof terrace available).

Chic atmosphere and beautiful views. Unfortunately, the cocktails were rather disappointing in terms of taste and not particularly well presented. My glass was also sticky. CHF 18.50 for a cocktail, I expected more.

Undoubtedly great atmosphere for drinks including a view. The service, on the other hand, is absolutely catastrophic. After the homepage expressly pointed out that reservations for the terrace were not possible, we (group of 6 people) were evicted. We were told in an arrogant and unfriendly tone that we should leave despite our drinks being full because the table was reserved. When we pointed out that reservations weren't being accepted, they responded snidely: "No rule without exception"! Super unsympathetic and an absolute no go! In addition, you have to wait forever at the bar until you are served, only to be told in a very unfriendly manner “Card payments only from CHF 10.-, no exceptions”. You really don't need it. A pity. A great place, but the poor service means you can easily miss out on the experience!

A really nice bar in the left tower of the Basel barracks. The view from the tower terrace is sensational. Unfortunately there was/was no service upstairs and you had to get your drinks yourself and carry them upstairs. Otherwise great!

Today, Saturday, August 20th, 2022, around 9 p.m. I spontaneously visited the bar. My highlights; - the design, the range of drinks and of course the view. What didn't convince me, however, was the sharp answers from the employees (bouncers or the service) but also the unprofessionalism behind the bar. What was also noticeable was that the glasses were collected on the terrace with a Migros basket. Not possible (my opinion) I think that the bar, as it appears, deserves a clean appearance. You have to appear more serious and professional. The location and the design as a whole can only cover this to a certain percentage. I can highly recommend the bar if the criticism improves. Great exclusive rooftop bar with amazing view of Basel. Recommend to make a reservation because it can be really busy on days with nice weather. Service a bit slow when it's busy and the entrance is a bit hard to find

Great bar but very slow staff. 15 minutes for a beer!!!

Fantastic view of the city, nice breeze (if you don’t mind the wind), diverse selection of drinks. 5 stars if you are lucky to find s table fast, but stars start dissappearing if the wait goes beyong half-hour (which is not uncommon as no reservations are taken). Service is spotty, and probably weakest part of the experience.

Uncomplicated and nice staff. The furnishings are surprising, but probably have no connection to the historic barracks. We liked it and the local amber beer was tasty. Maybe you could go even further with a few creative “bar snacks”.

Location is nice. At the moment you have to queue for a table, but that will definitely happen. It's no surprise given the location. Unfortunately, service is a total flop. Our waiter was unfriendly and showed an attitude towards guests that reminded me of a bouncer who cares too much about being there at a time. working in a hip place, remembers (which is kind of funny in Basel...). None of our orders were brought correctly (we then gave up the second time and drank/eat what came) and many things had to be ordered twice because our order was forgotten or it simply took forever for the drinks to be prepared. Definitely needs improvement. In any case, I'll switch my focus back to the other, friendlier bars in the corner until the whole thing has hopefully settled down.

The bar in the basement has been beautifully renovated! The roof terrace is great with a great view. Unfortunately, there are extremely long waiting times (until you get to a table and then until you are served). Lan then sits at the table with up to 2 other parties. Everything is a bit tight. The drinks are normally priced, but 3/4 of them are ice. Ordered different drinks and no one was happy. The 'punch' was missing. No lights, mediocre ambience and no music. Absolutely has potential - please make the most of it!

I visited the bar two weeks ago. Great view, good drinks... but bad, sometimes arrogant bouncers... What annoyed me the most was the answer to my request whether I could enjoy a quick aperitif on the terrace with 20 people (corporate customers) on July 21st between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m …. No, we do not accept reservations. On this day we are supposed to queue 10 minutes before the door opens and hope that there is room!!!!! After all, the students would also be queuing... 30 minutes for a drink with 20 people, you can't find a solution!!!! We tried again this morning via email and received another rejection... Apparently the company is doing so well that they just don't need it... It's a shame, but as a managing director I don't stand in line with 18-20 customers and hope that they let us in... Simply embarrassing And perhaps you should also take into account that 20 people are only there for 30 minutes... Don't drink mineral water......, in any case we will no longer recommend this bar.

A beautiful place; Due to high demand (location and weather), there is a lot going on at the moment. Sometimes a bit of patience is required at the entrance - but it's 200% worth it.

We tried to visit the bar for the first time last night. Just finding the lift was a challenge. After we finally mastered it, we took the elevator to the fourth floor, only to be turned away in a very unfriendly manner. That's why we can't say anything about the content of the bar, but we weren't in the mood to try it again. Why is security at the top of the entrance and not at the bottom of the elevator? Would be more pleasant for everyone involved. You could save yourself the trip upstairs if the bar is already full (max. 60 people). A label showing how to get to the elevator would also be helpful.

I came last Friday (01/07) and arrived around 7:00 p.m. At around 9pm my husband went to the toilet (which is on the ground floor) and on the way back the security guard (his name is Ali) wouldn't let him go and said he wasn't at the bar. It was an extremely embarrassing situation , as we had to talk to our waiter to prove he was at the bar. The man was very rude and doesn't know how to deal with customers. He didn't believe what we said and we had to prove the situation. You need to have qualified people at the bar to control who comes in and out and who know how to deal with customers. I didn't have to prove anything, he should verify the information. After the situation, our group (8 people) decided to leave the place. Gabriela Amorim

Nice rooftop bar with a spectacular view over the old city of Basel. The bar has 2 floors a first large bar and above it a rooftop bar. Definitely worth it
