American Dream in Genève

When I was brought here I was a little doubtful and felt very bad about it. An exceptional restaurant! The food is excellent, real burgers just the way we like them! The atmosphere is friendly, the service whatever one can reserve is very good, we are served quite quickly. The only downside: the price which is quite high. But once you have the Burger in front of your eyes you understand why, the value for money is excellent! I highly recommend.

Authentic American restaurant, we have eaten very well, the burgers are spectacular and the place is 100% American style, very cool!! Freddy has treated us very kindly, if we return to Geneva we will repeat without hesitation!!

It's certainly worth a visit for the ambience. I'll start like this, the restaurant doesn't really look inviting. In my opinion, everything looked pretty cheap and unstable. Then to the service: The woman who served us was very nice. Since I don't speak French, I was able to communicate with her easily in English. She served us very quickly and the drinks and menu arrived quickly. For food: I had the sweet potatoes which were really delicious. I could also add the cheese sauce. I also had the Mexico Burger. This one was really okay. It didn't really taste like anything. My companion had chili cheese fries, which came with kidney beans and chopped and unfortunately there was no trace of the chili, very tasty!! But the highlight was the burger: when my companion took the first bite, I heard opposite that she had to bite into something very hard. It turned out that your meat was almost burnt. Since we lost our appetite, we didn't even finish eating and didn't leave late. Unfortunately the food was half as good as expected. 2x burgers with fries and 2 drinks CHF 78.- Unfortunately this wasn't worth it for us. Hope you have a better experience. :)

Our only bad meal of the whole Switzerland trip. We chose poorly but were too tired to look further. Whole place was quite dirty and food was not good.

Not very warm welcome from the waiter. Didn't give me time to choose what I wanted and tried to push me to consume "more expensive". I refrained from eating because of the presence of cockroaches on the seats and my napkin stained with I don't know what. The place is nice to see but the prices are not worth it for what it is…

I had a Poutine with raspberry lemonade, everything was very good, the service was fast and the staff was welcoming and smiling 😄. Mention to the music which creates a good atmosphere in the restaurant 👍🏻

One of the best restaurants in Geneva if you want to eat a good gourmet burger in a typical American atmosphere without taking Route 66! In addition, it is one of the only restaurants in Geneva to offer gluten-free burger buns and desserts. I recommend the poutine which is to die for! If you want gluten-free burger buns, remember to call them in advance. Enjoy!

Very poor service I didn't invent anything c the boss came out with aggression towards us, he really sickened him in addition to calling him a liar c unbelievable

Everytime i come to pick up an order to deliver to a client it is late. 10min turns to 45min. Absolutley ridiculous. I see that you as the owner cannot take any criticism. You should take the time and re-evaluate yourself. Atleast your employees have the decency to apologize.

Service : Very good service, a friendly and welcoming waitress (it's nice to have someone who isn't bitter!). The service was fast, it's nice not to wait ages to be served! For the kitchen : Very good cuisine, the quality is there, the quantities are perfect (even generous). For the atmosphere: An American dinner the way we like it, the US atmosphere is there, it's really great. It's nice to have such a reference in Geneva, especially close to the station! Plus the prices are absolutely fair! For a starter, main course, drink and dessert, count around 45.- per person, which remains respectable! Once again it's an American diner, it's not just any type of restaurant! We will come back, that’s obvious!

Discovering the existence of this restaurant quite by chance when we didn't know what to eat (thanks the fork) and coming away totally won over! Everything was very good: A well-made poutine with good fries, a superb Chili con Carne and an ovomatine Milkshake to die for! The quantities are really great for the price paid and I honestly don't find it that expensive, it's well worth the quality and the kindness of the staff. Perhaps the only downside could be the few dirt on the floor but this is inevitable, especially in winter.

Delicious sweet potato fries and coleslaw salad, always good and freshly prepared. Price of coffee a bit excessive... Always very friendly service.

Highly recommended restaurant. Typical American food and atmosphere. The waiter (Freddy) was very kind and attentive to us and made us feel like we were at home. The burger we ordered was very good. Reasonable price-quality.

Service was "okay" would say. 5,90 CHF for the modest bowl fries is borderline. If you question my rating of 3 It can go down quickly. That's the experience I had. Fidelity comes with an extra that could have cost you a penny. But I guess, you haven't checked the good point I mentionned on my original post. That's sad: Still, Burger was tasty and well done as asked. Good job on that

Discovered by a friend who loves and appreciates a good plate. I chose The Original burger with fries and Onion Rings. It was good, tasty. The dessert Sundae and Cheese Cake were good, even if very industrial products. The nice decor, we have a good time there. And the very friendly staff, I appreciate it.

The atmosphere of the restaurant and the waiter's service were very nice, the food came quickly and everything was delicious. I really liked that there was a jukebox on the tables, you could play any classical song you wanted for 50 cents. There is an American market upstairs if anyone is interested.

Don’t believe the rating…. This place isn’t worth the CHF. If you’re going for a burger in Geneva stick with Five Guys or Hamburger Foundation. Either won’t let you down. This place will. Burgers are subpar. McDonald’s taste better. Same with their chicken burger. Chicken super chewy. I believe it’s frozen. Again, McDonalds would better. Oreo shake doesn’t really taste like Oreo. Overall a complete waste of money. And I won’t even discuss sitting for 50 minutes before placing an order….. (look at owner's response! Attack the customer... What a strategy! Great business move! I stand by my review. There are much better places in town. Don't waste your time on this place.)

Great atmosphere on a Sunday in December! Very good burgers, try the smoky burger. Good homemade fries, very good chili. We had a great time. To try if you are in the area!!

This restaurant is very good, the food is tasty, the portions are big and the staff is very friendly. I had made a reservation to eat with my work team and we arrived late, they still received us and prepared food for us almost at their closing time, which was very appreciated. I would definitely recommend!

Very rich and abundant food. The place has a very successful American atmosphere. We were served by Freddy, very friendly, who also speaks Spanish.

If you have ever enjoyed being in a Diner in the US, you must go to this one. You really feel like in the US, the staff is super friendly (they agreed to reopen the kitchen at 1am when we were having munchies). The food is also very very good (pouting and sweet potatoes fries 😍). The burgers are like the ones you can find in the us: big and good! Can't wait to go back

Friday evening.. 6 Valaisans who were hungry arrived in this magnificent universe.. the atmosphere of that time, the music that goes with it.. really great (we would have seen them on roller skates) 🫣 at the same time we were at the floor... the waiter was perfect at listening! The only downside... the knife provided is not really suitable for cutting this big burger... but we left with a smile and we are going to advertise you in Valais! Thank you 🤩

Reasonably priced burgers in Geneva. The opinions of the family were however mixed. The veggie burger and chicken burger weren't well received but the fish (Nemo) and Smokey Crispy Bacon Burger were nice. The latter came with a bit of table spectacular with a smoked unveiling. We only ordered one side of chips, which is just as well as the burgers were big. The chips were however too salty for some of us. The lemon, lemonade wasn't as lemony as it could have been, but the coconut lemonade was just right. Service was good and it was a decent atmosphere with American dinner appropriate music playing.

I had a hotdog here a while ago and I was quite disappointed. It is hard to get decent American hotdogs here so I thought the American Dream Dinner would be the perfect place. It was quite dry and rather plain. Otherwise the staff was friendly and the overall theme with its decorations are nice.

Excellent restaurant with high quality food and excellent service. We ordered the chicken burger, chicken nuggets and an order of french fries and split between four of us. The portions we're big and very delicious. The chicken reminds me of Raising Cain's in the USA. Highly recommend.

Really well themed American diner with very good vegetarian/vegan options. Staff friendly however when we arrived the waiter was alone so a little slow to order, however really friendly and spoke English. Would reccomend to any vegetarian/vegans as most items on menu can be made as a vegan option, giving a good range of burgers/hot dogs. Drinks and burgers were great!

The place is set in the American restaurants of that time that Hollywood shows in its movies, Freddy Avee served us, his treatment was wonderful, he spoke in several languages, because coincidentally the group we went to was each from a different part of the world, always with a smile and the food was great.

We went there to spend some time with family the food is good the staff very friendly the restaurant corresponds to the atmosphere on their site despite its small size but a big negative point no air conditioning inside the heat was horrible a very heavy temperature so I didn't enjoy my meal at all.

I had a 3-course meal at American Dream Diner and it was delicious! The garlic bread was sumptuous but light, making it an amazing way to start the meal. I had the nacho hotdog for my main course and it was HUGE! Such a generous portion, full of delicious guacamole and salsa, but it didn’t actually make me too full either despite the size. I finished the meal with a banana split which, of course, was stunning. After our meal, we went upstairs to the American Market, which we were very excited about. Although a little smaller than we’d expected, it still had some wonderful treats and we walked away with some new products to try. I definitely recommend visiting American Dream Diner - it’s a hidden gem!

before it was my favorite restaurant but on several occasions I found a cockroach wandering around the restaurant and another one another day in the toilets (alive of course) and the last time I came to eat I was on a table (the table as soon as you enter is directly on the right the first on your right there was a plastic box a fork and a yellow sheet it disgusted me I wouldn't sit at this table anymore but you don't lose me as a customer because despite the lack of cleanliness in the restaurant the staff is great 🙌🤩

I had an Appel Dream pie and it was killer with a very very good homemade lemonade.

Very average experience at American Dream Diner. Room on the upper floor not air conditioned, it is terribly hot and I went there at the end of March and not in the middle of summer… The waiter forgot to validate our order, we waited more than an hour. In addition to the really not incredible burgers where we are not even asked for the desired cooking. Nice and normal gesture, the waiter gave us 20% off the bill. There are better places elsewhere in terms of burgers, quite frankly.

First time in Geneva and were looking for a place to eat. After walking around the area, I went back to this lovely diner! Great smokey crispy bacon burger, that are served under a smoke filled glass dome and great Killer Bee cocktail. The taste of the banana milkshake was a bit to the artificial side to my side. But still worth the visit. 😀

A nice place, we are really immersed in a world I love! I like the decor and the atmosphere. The very hearty burgers won't starve you in any case. We had the price of chili fries which wasn't too bad. Then the burgers, nothing crazy but still good.

aesthetically very cute place, definitely very much american diner vibes! the tables were shaking a bit everytime we moved, so that was just slightly annoying. the tables were cleaned but the place in general didn't seem extremely clean, which is fair to a degree, as some things like the jukeboxes are vintage i'm sure. but i had a black spot inside of my glass that i was very easily able to scrape off. very friendly and helpful customer service! they served us in english with a smile on their face the whole time. oreo milkshake was pretty good (a little too milky for me, i like it thicker), and he even gave me extra as they made too much. the cheese fries tasted very good but portions are a bit small, which was very okay as the burgers & hotdogs were huge. the hotdog was about twice the size of a regular hotdog, so if you have a small stomach like me, maybe share with someone, i barely finished half of it. all the food was delicious besides the coleslaw, it tasted a bit old to me but my mom liked it. homemade lemonade was very good too. red chili poppers were very crispy which i love. the ketchup came in a heinz bottle but definitely didn't taste like heinz, just a little side note since i thought that was a bit odd. unfortunately we couldn't try the desserts as we were all super full, i would like to come back to try their apple pie. another note, they use plastic straws, so if you care a lot about the environment, maybe ask for no straws.

Money evaporated faster than water in the Sahara. 22 balls for a hamburger without fries and 150 balls for a cake (for a birthday) with small portions for each person. If you don't like money I recommend. There are much better options for burgers like Holy-cow. Answer: We came on February 4 to celebrate a birthday. You know very well who we are. Your response is dishonest, you should rather apologize for what happened, rather than trying to cover it up. In the meantime, I remain very disappointed and continue not to recommend this restaurant which is incapable of admitting that it made a mistake. You have not made any 30% reduction, this is a lie.....

First time with my parents and probably the last. Very happy to introduce this unusual restaurant to my parents, we therefore reserved a table for a Saturday evening (obligatory stopover on the weekend if you want to have a place available). Arriving on time for the appointment, what was my surprise to learn that my reservation had not been noted in the schedule. Under the panicked gaze of the waitress, who unfortunately could do nothing (it was a man who had taken my reservation), we found ourselves obliged to go eat elsewhere (on a Saturday evening at 8:45 p.m.) because the infrastructure of the restaurant (in fixed seats) does not allow any addition of tables and no action on their part has been proposed to make up for their error. Too bad but we won't be going back, the "food factory" style which skips reservations disappointed us a lot.

Super Dinners in Geneva. The decor takes us back to the Us of the 1950s. The food and drink menu is varied. The cuisine is correct as well as the prices.

Ch20.- a Hot Dog. How dumb are you to buy that?

Simply magical place. It really feels like we’re in the United States! The staff is really great, very very friendly. With great attention to customers, thanks to Charle for his smile and his kindness, we had a very good evening thanks to him. Restaurant that closes late even during the week and Halal for certain meats👍🏽 The food is excellent and plentiful. Little sound of Elvis during the meal. Really great, I highly recommend.

Good atmosphere, great decor, good place to go with family or friends, very nice cheddar fries, it was a treat if you are a fan of the American style, this place is for you without forgetting that the 2nd floor is a mini market of American product this place is definitely worth a look.

I didn't create an account to harm you. I have the right to give my opinion. The meat was very tough and bland. Also accept negative opinions and improve yourself. You spend your time responding to negative comments while ignoring what you are accused of. I didn't even add to my first comment that I had diarrhea after the meal.

I dined at the place twice and ordered delivery once: very average.

Arriving in Geneva and very hungry. Typical diner, great atmosphere. We enjoyed the food very much. The burgers were as they should be. The apple pie and my milkshake (chocolate/banana) were also very good. We can only recommend the diner, even if the price was a bit higher than expected. The service was also courteous and helpful. The service is okay but too long a wait, the kitchen is not fresh, the pineapple is spoiled, the chicken is not cooked, they count the drink in the children's menu so be careful to look at the receipt. Shame. I often come when I am in Geneva, but unfortunately I will no longer come here. What a shame 😕😕😕😕

The food was great! We also had a very nice server who spoke very good English. As an American living in Europe, it was nice to have some of my favorite things for lunch.

Still as good !! On the other hand, I really find it a shame that we can't book for 2 people. There must be at least 5 of you… and when you get there, there is no more room…

Great discovery in the center of Geneva. Wide choice of dishes with vegetarian and vegan alternatives! The sweet potato fries are amazing!!

5 stars for everything, wonderful atmosphere, I really felt in the United States, the perfect hamburger and the service a special kindness. I highly recommend and will return again and again.
