Argentino in Lugano

We are visiting Lugano for few days and we had dinner at Bistrot & Pizza Argentino and it was a very good experience. Food is delicious and the service is great, the waiters are super friendly 👍😊

This place is a great option for people who are gluten-free! Their gluten-free pizzas were truly great. The dough was naturally thicker compared to their regular pizzas; nevertheless it was very good. I would highly recommend their pizza Argentino (a nice classic), profumo and tartufo (which was very balanced, not overwhelming in terms of the flavor). Their torta al pistacchio served with vanilla ice cream was to die for 🙌🏼 Quick and friendly service, cozy ambiance. Overall, we had a great experience

Everything was great! We had a really good pizza with fresh ingredients and two glasses of wine for an affordable price. The waiters were also really kind and fast.

One of the best pizzerias in Lugano, if not the best. Every time I see someone ordering something else than Pizza, I can't help but scratch my head. They have recently added Kamut and Gluten-free dough to their menu to please everyone. For the best hands-on experience, I suggest you try the "Pizza al tagliere" - a large pizza served on a wooden board. Please note that their pizzas are always thin. Deep dish pizzas are not considered pizzas but rather cheese-tomato tarts.

Really good pizza from the wood-fired oven and TOP service that is always friendly and courteous. Communication in English is very possible. Prices are quite fair for Swiss standards!

Great location, tables are very close together. The salmon bowl in my opinion was probably the worst salmon bowl I’ve ever had. It was drowned in soy sauce and tasted extremely salty. It was only one dimensional and it left me extremely parched. I don’t know if it was just a one time mishap or if it was intentionally made that way, if so …. If you want your kidneys to feel ok, don’t order that one. The photo is deceiving because it looked fresh and appetizing but once I mixed it and started eating, it was downhill from there. They even handed me additional soy sauce to add onto if I wanted. Wild

The food was fantastic and the service very attentive. We went there for dinner and went back the next day for lunch because it was so good. To be repeated at any time! Thanks for all!

The waiter forgets to order. There are ten coffees to choose from on the card and the waiter has a designation for each simple coffee.

Super crowded tourist place! We got a pizza that looked good, fast service, good dough, plentiful ingredients, one negative note being a little cold. The staff were friendly and helpful! I recommend trying the pizza!

The truffle tagliatelle were great and the price was more than fair. Pizza's were thin and good. The vegan chocolate cake was a dream. The service was very nice and in a good mood. We have been several times and have always been very satisfied.

The food at this place was not impressive. We tried the truffle pasta, eggs and some wine. The wine was good. The service was good enough. And while we went on a rainy day so cannot blame the covered dining, the place was very compact, tables were too close to each other. Staff wasn't 100% fluent in English which is fine, just request for a server can help

We took two really bad takeaway pizzas: apart from the fact that they were so small and thin that we would have needed two each to feed us... but on top of this the dough looked like a cracker, very thin, hard and completely burnt. The toppings above were really 2 across… for almost 35 francs. Never again.

Small pizzeria in the back streets, very cozy and pleasant, eating or just drinking a coffee is always a pleasure, Italy is there! And you can feel it! The staff is very welcoming and pleasant!

We ordered eggplant pizza and white pasta with chicken and mushrooms. Bad experience and the service is the worst. I do not recommend trying it at all. The staff are not friendly.

Food tastes great, but (, if you do the math,) the expensive pizza ("al tagliere") is smaller than the cheaper one ("al piatto"). Even worse, when we asked the waiter about the difference before ordering, they claimed the "al tagliere" was bigger. Could be considered a scam...

Ate a piece of fillet that was tough like an old cow. Spaghetti Carbonara was cold and dry and stuck together, sorry. Not a good place to eat on vacation

The potatoes were perhaps from the previous day, the meat dry and the bacon tasteless. Acoustics very noisy, service quite ok. Charged a different wine than ordered, of course more expensive. The price absolutely did not match the enjoyment. Never again.

We ordered a takeaway pizza; when ordering we were told a waiting time of around 10 minutes. The pizza was also good, except that we literally waited 45 minutes to get ONE takeaway pizza. At least the dining room staff was very friendly.

I would classify the restaurant as a tourist trap. The service is nice and speaks English well, but the food wasn't really good. The bruschetta consisted of three types. Tomatoes, sausage with cheese and mushrooms. The bread itself wasn't very suitable for bruschetta. It wasn't roasted well either. The toppings weren't special. The tomatoes had little flavor and were not pickled with herbs and oil. The lasagna was very bland and consisted almost entirely of thick layers of dough. You almost couldn't taste the Bolognese and tomato. There was also a touch of bechamel sauce, which almost made up the taste. Unfortunately very disappointing. The Mandarin Gazosa, on the other hand, was excellent. The price is quite normal, but too high for the performance of my dishes.

The restaurant has a very nice location, it is located in the restaurants square among the historical Lugano buildings. The place is very crowded, the food is above average prices and the service is not very good but it is good. For dinner, I ordered a pizza, but I can't say I liked it very much.

We are not! Picanha requested rare and arrived dry and hard (the quantity was also small) I had a tiramisu but it tasted like cheesecake (badly made) Maybe I understood why people only ate pizza..... High price like everything in Lugano

We waited over 1.5 hours for the food, after about 40 minutes the waiter came and talked to us in Italian even though he knows we don't understand anything, we suspect that he has lost our order and took the order again, I understand Don't know how to work in the hospitality industry but don't speak a single word of English or consciously don't want to speak it?

The food is very delicious and the prices are good We ordered mozzarella pizza with Jarir - spaghetti with red sauce and minced meat - pasta with white sauce with chicken and mushrooms - spaghetti with truffles, but it was all raisins.

I was so excited that they offered gluten free pizza and pleasantly surprised with how good the crust was! The vibe was great and we loved our waiter and his fun personality.

Unfortunately, inedible gluten-free pizza looked like rubber and was also tasteless... it's a shame because I know that classic platter pizza is good.

Ossu Bucco with saffron risotto was good, meat was tender. But! Spaghetti Carbonara was terrible. Spaghetti with runny egg yolk, inedible and really disgusting. There has to be a change!

The pizza was very good with a very thin pizza base (very tasty) — you can choose the dough (Kamut!) and also have lactose-free mozzarella... It was too crowded and too narrow for me (outside), which is probably normal in Lugano . The restaurant is in the tourist hotspot of Lugano - the old town.

Restaurant terrace was totally full and it was a bit hectic for the personnel. But they pulled it off with aplomb. Food was delicious and great value by Swiss standards. Highly recommended.

After eating the asparagus risotto I got food poisoning and ended up in the emergency room... I've never had such a bad experience. I will never go back there again
