Friendly service, great wine, simple pleasures. We went twice, and would go back again.

I was with my wife last Saturday to celebrate our wedding anniversary... what can I say?? Everything was very nice... super welcome.. met Mrs. Alice..😊 Then the super Sara... really pampered us.

Last night my husband took me to dinner at this intimate restaurant located in front of the lake in Lugano, first time for both of us, delicious food and hospitality, a pleasant discovery in which to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Thanks especially to Sara! See you soon! Marianna

Good food but prices are very high

Very well-kept venue in a top position in the center of Lugano Service attentive and attentive to guests' needs. Friendliness and good humor are at home. The decoration of the room is very original. Excellent quality cuisine with fresh, seasonal ingredients masterfully prepared. Compliments!

Pretentious restaurant with Zurich prices and Moroccan management. The customer orders, then the chef and waiters disappear to search the souk for the food which is promptly served with exaggerated emphasis at the table. A blast for those who appreciate style! 🤣

Food very good but very little and too expensive. Wine only available by the glass, also too expensive. A half-liter bottle could be sold cheaper because the waiter only has to walk once. 10 francs per glass is too expensive

Entrecote di manzo svizzero connsalsa ai lamponi bio, patate viola e zenzero, or… Swiss Ribeye with raspberry a jue. Melts in one’s mouth and leaves one with a profound feeling that life will never again be as good as the moment that first bite reaches the taste buds. Truly unforgettable experience. It was the year 2016 and I still remember it as if it was yesterday.

I found the water excessive, I don't know if it was from the tap as I had asked for 13 francs for 2 bottles of water and also paid 8 francs for a beer

A pleasant experience, really good. We found what we wanted to eat with slight changes to the menu.

Due to a high score here on maps, we’ve chosen to give this restaurant a shot but the disappointment was huge! It was 5 pm and they asked us “to drink or to eat?” We said both and the host said “it’s closed!Come back after 18:30” With an agressive voice. We came back and decided to have a drink first while waiting for the kitchen to open but again at first a guy said yes it’s ok, but then an older man made faces and said “come back after half an hour” Of course we have chosen another restaurant so I must said that it was a horrible experience and I do not recommend the place if you are a foreigner.

We went to the restaurant at night without reservations and got a table outside. The restaurant is in front of the Lugano lake, well located and therefore also with higher prices. The food was tasty and well prepared, only the fillet we ordered was overly peppery. However, the service wasn't the best, the waiter didn't make much of a point of being friendly and was uncomfortable with questions.

Exquisite food, intimate atmosphere, and gracious service. This is the most inventive menu we have had in year. Put their phone number on speed dial; you'll be glad.

Our server was very friendly and seemingly had a vast knowledge of the local wines listed in the menu. The food, though very good, was slightly expensive when compared to other similar restaurants in the immediate area.

The food was great. Unfortunately, the behavior of the staff towards a tourist family was incorrect and partly racist because the family just wanted to have a drink.

The food was very tasty. Service was somewhat friendly at the beginning, but after that it was okay. However, the service was quite rude and annoyed towards tourists at the neighboring table. We strongly condemn that. In general, more attention should be paid to friendly greetings and interactions - this has a positive effect on reputation. Good food and beautiful views aren't everything. Marketing is only good if customers actually come back!

Excellent restaurant run by friendly, helpful and professional staff. The bruschetta is served as a compliment, after which we opted for the first courses based on homemade pasta. A choice that turned out to be the right one! The “New York” cheesecake is also excellent!

My experience with the service at the restaurant was disappointing. I noticed that the waiters were not helpful and their lack of courtesy made for poor service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

Very nice cozy place. Food was great. Especially tuna ceviche - one of the best I've ever tried.

Unfortunately this place is shut between lunch and dinner which is fine but google shows it as open which is misleading. I was so looking forward to a meal here - make sure you aren’t late and miss out.

We had an amzing lunch. They kindly let us to bring our dog inside due to heat. They also provide a bowl of water for him 🙏🙏 Rissote & pasta were perfect and taste really good. Very good personal and location. Thanks 🌷🌷🌷

Very good Italian pasta and friendly service. They recommended an shaken iced coffee drink which was superb on a hot day.

The waiter who received us seemed annoyed by our presence practically spitting in my face and was quite rude. When it came to food the zucchini flower starter was very good but the main courses of lake fish (unexpectedly fried) and mezzo pacchero pasta was simply ok and way over priced for the overall experience.

Room with lake view. Indoor and outdoor tables. Modern furnishings with references to Italian cuisines. The food is very good, varied menu. Friendly staff. Adequate price in Lugano. I recommend it 🔝

Lovely terrace with gorgeous view over the lake. I had the gnocchi with safron and shrimp, which were nothing to write home about. For starters we shared good starters - Italian classics like carpaccio. Excellent service.

The workers are nice but slow. They sat us down and gave us the bread without oil and vinegar after we told them they brought it. We asked for the rose, which was acceptable. The risotto with zucchini and fish was normal, but the fish was small, and the beef fillet was good, but it arrived cold. After the third time, they brought us the bill.. Not slow. acceptable

Nice and close to the lake, beautiful view.For my taste it was to crowded. The tuna tartar was amazing, however, I was not impressed by the pasta, not cooked enough, and yes, I know what does it means "al dente".The sauce was good though, it had some peas and butter sauce, buratta and crispy bacon (which was very good)not enough for the amount of pasta,but might be personal preference.Overall I would recommend, but would ask if they have fresh pasta instead.

I have tried this restaurant a couple of times and every time I choose risotto del giorno and then they have always suprised me with how delicious the food can be! Amazing choice, amazing atmosphere! Special thanks to the Chef!

Like being at home. Friendly, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I go often and it's always a pleasure to stay at Alice's. Quality food from the complete menu and off-the-card dishes that are always different and excellent.

A little perplexed at first but our server Andréa was able to put me at ease, respond to my requests, welcoming, warm staff, beautiful cuisine, very good food, wine, digestive, very good time, I recommend!!! !! Top service 👍 Grazie mille!!!

Good food and nice staff as well

The risotto was declared to me to be lactose-free, which unfortunately wasn't the case at all. I would have expected the waiter to pass on the information to the kitchen if he didn't know his way around. This reliability is important when you have an intolerance and can ruin the whole weekend if it is missing!

La Cucina di Alice is a restaurant where you can feel at home. The food is good, the flavors are clear and exceptional. The service is impeccable, as is hospitality and kindness. I highly recommend it.

On Saturday evening, without having made a reservation, my friend and I decided to go here because it was recommended to us. Since they immediately found a place for us, they deserve the two stars, but no more. Being vegan, I asked, while my friend was looking at the menu, if they had something especially for me. While the waiter, clearly ignorant about the vegan diet, with repeated statements "I'll do this for you with cheese" etc., allow myself to interrupt him to ask for information on a dish. He impatiently comes out with "if you let me talk I'll explain". Phrase totally out of place and unprofessional given that, being a customer, it is more than legitimate for me to ask questions. Even more so given his ignorance on the subject. But let's move on. We didn't have aperitifs or anything and went straight to the first course, which unfortunately my friend received wrong. She ordered the gnocchi with speck and ordered the orecchiette with sausage. Too bad because they had two orders to take and they made a mistake. Plus the inconvenience of eating separately since they had to redo the plate. For goodness sake, it can happen that you order wrong, but this error added to the waiter's ignorance of the vegan diet and the rude way in which he treated me, do not make me give this restaurant more than two stars. It's a shame because the location is nice, convenient being in the center and the food isn't bad.

Late lunch at this beautiful restorant with a view of lake Lugano, amazing experience! although the staff was very busy, we got amazing treatment, very polite and friendly. there's also a daily menu with fresh homemade options, the ravioli of the day are to die for!!

excellent risotto - excellent risotto

The rather intimate restaurant inside and with outdoor space to be appreciated especially in summer if they close the road because it is very close to the lake. Very good food and service, I particularly appreciated the tuna tartare with artichokes and citrus fruits and homemade ravioli with radicchio and ricotta.

We stayed in this place located on the lakeside of Lugano. We ate quite well, but too expensive. We paid 8 francs for a bottle of still water, 24 francs for two glasses of Sauvignon wine. We ate the very delicious millet meatballs as an appetizer and two dishes of strozzapreti with duck ragù. Total 114 francs. I repeat we didn't eat badly but the price seems excessive to me.

The quality/price ratio is exaggerated. The dishes are not very particular, I would say simple and for what they offer their prices are too high. A bottle of water 8 CHF and two glasses of wine 24 CHF. Negative experience. P.S. The only positive thing about the place is the proximity to the lake.

Customer service is bad t call many time they always reply. One moment I asked for changing my table because the guy front of me smoking and I told them I’m sick they said no sorry we cannot all the table is serving. The food was not nice at all I order Anna seafood, the taste of the food bed smell a food that they said super hard like stone customer service the way how he acts with us. They are really rude even though ignore us a lot.

Nice place with a view across the street across from the lake and the atmosphere is great especially at night, the food is very good. Unfortunately in the bill there was a Nespresso coffee that we didn't order, but they refunded the amount as soon as I alerted them so I assume this was a mistake.
