Food and spot was fine, but the servie is just catastrophic. This small guy trying to be over polite, after a while you get the feeling they just want to rip you of, which they did a the end. They put extra things (food) on the bill which you did not even order. They shout to each other that you are speaking english so they now you are a toursit and they can charge you more. It just discusting. I do not recomend this place!

Generally a good restaurant. Simple service that seems friendly, quick serving and alright food. The prices are also quite forgiving for Geneva. Went there for lunch and they had a good selection. Not the best but generally good. Recommended :))

THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE WE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE (AND I AM 53 YEARS) While the waiter took our order, he talk things behind our back in his language thinking that he did not think we understand what he is saying. He talked racist thing about us and when i confront him, he deliberately asking us to leave the resto. So unbeliavable !!! THE WORST EVER!!

Nice place to try traditional Swiss taste including fondue (which similar to a Turkish food called kuymak) Located in paquee region of central Geneva, you may just walk in there and eat. The moment you step in the restaurant a heavy cheese smell welcomes you. There is also a big furnace in the place in which they cook cheese. Makes you hungry just looking at that furnace. Pricy like the other Genevian counterparts. Recommended.

I came with my 3 colleagues to this place to try the famous Swish fondue. At the entrance we were warmly welcomed by David and although we didn’t have a reservation he was trying his best to accommodate our request in a busy day. We were excited to try their food, and since the table we got was a bit tiny for 4 people we asked if there was any other option. Our excitement. thou, got switched off by Micheal who told us that that day was fully booked and if we were not taking the table he could give it to someone else easily in the next 5 minutes. Slightly confused by the unnecessary rudeness he used with us, we still decided to stay. When we were giving our orders we got inspired by 2 ladies next to us who shared a fondue, so we wanted to do the same and start to try the classic fondue sharing it by 4, and then try other flavours if still hungry. However Michael told us that our table was a table for 4, hence we were supposed to order at least 4 dishes. We got speechless, eventually we told him that we were going to order more dishes later, but he insisted that the program they use is a little bit complicated and doesn’t accept this kind of order. At this point we felt that the hospitality in this place couldn’t be any less and, since it looked like our presence there was bothering this person we decided to leave. And never come back of course.

Great discovery for our first stay in Switzerland 🇨🇭, from the outside the place doesn't look like much but inside wow! Great frame. We asked to book by telephone and were accepted with the presence of our dog (a cané corso) the space is limited so it is better to come with a dog who knows how to stay quiet under the table (a bowl of water gave him was served without us asking ⭐ For the meal, it was great, up to our expectations. The service is relatively young and of good quality, everyone was very friendly and in a good mood despite a crowded service. I recommended.

Great place to eat near the main railway station. Food is of high quality, especially the meat. Watch out for daily specials as we ate here 3 times, and all were fantastic. They also have wood fired pizza oven and do good pizza. My wife is coeliac, and they did cater for her gluten-free diet. There is nothing specific Gf on menu but just explain to waiters and they will organise a meal. The prices were good value (for geneva) and restaurant has a nice relaxed ambience.

Went for the Rosti which was top notch.

I'm from Argentina. We take our steaks very seriously. I ordered an Entrecote without much expectations, and boy was I surprised. The tender meat was in that precise point where the outside crust mixes with the juicy middle. Just amazing. For these prices I think it was a bargain, not only recommended but I'm coming back for more. The pizzas look very tasty!

We waited a long time to get a seat and the person who met us didn't even apologize for the long delay. For service 2.

We ate snails and fondue, very good! I recommend it! It was a Sunday and it was one of the few restaurants open, so we were very grateful. The service was a little slow for the account, but at the beginning everything was fine. Eye! The water cost us 8 francs, which surprised us, but it's Switzerland! On our trip through 🇨🇭 we decided to try the 🫕 we chose this restaurant and when we arrived it was super full it was 12-25-23 but it was worth the wait, we ate super well and delicious, the gentleman who served us was very friendly, they served us water and no was charged we ordered: 2 beer, 1 Focaccia starter, 1 bacon fondue 1 Bolognese pasta were 71CHF and in Euro were 75€

Come eat here and the atmosphere is like eating with family. It's crowded with a lot of people waiting for food for a long time. But the food you received was exactly as described. Tasty and delicious, you won't be disappointed. Personally, I intend to eat cheese fondue at this restaurant. Affordable price, good taste Another recommended menu is beef tartare. Delicious, very satisfying. The lamb steak was a bit too oily, but it was delicious as well. Overall, I rate this restaurant 4.5 points. The service of the employees is attentive, but because there are many people, they may not be able to take care of customers thoroughly. There is no parking at this restaurant, so you may have to find a place to park yourself. I recommend that if you stay in this area, it is convenient and easy to walk. It will be very easy to come.

Good food, very friendly and attentive waiter (Hassan), polite and professional, very nice setting and decor (mainly wood, hence the name of the restaurant), pleasant music and fair prices (although the desserts are, for some, a inexpensive). My best friend and I have been there three times and have always been delighted. A special thank you to Hassan, who served us the last two times: excellent service, a real pleasure! The place is cozy and the food is very delicious. I tried the fondue with bacon, delicious and large portion. From the reviews I had doubts about the service but my experience was completely satisfactory, we did not wait for anything for a table, they served us quickly and were very friendly at all times.

Worst experience and very bad attitude from the reservation guy. We secured a table, placed our food order, and when my sister arrived with her kids, I offered them a slice of freshly arrived pizza while they were waiting for the next available table. As the adjacent table was settling their bill, we inquired about acquiring it. Unfortunately, the reservation guy accused me of tricking his table loudly, rudely kicked them out (she were leaving politely anyway), but he kept yelling at me saying I tricked his table and insisted we finish our meal immediately and leave. Despite my request for the check, he angrily asserted he wasn't the waiter. Enduring multiple insults while trying to order and settle the bill, it was a frustrating experience. The reservation guy lacked patience, courtesy, and service understanding. If I knew the owner, I'd recommend hiring someone else for a more pleasant customer experience (no wonder so many negative reviews are about him). The photo was taken by my daughter when he yelled “eat your food and go back to your country” pointing and shouting at me. We were definitely disappointed and never would go back. Reply to the reservation guy: your waiter assigned me a table next to the entrance, also a passage. My children were well-mannered, you were telling me to pay more because we have 2 young kids sharing one seat which I said no problem. As you are handling reservations, it's crucial to respond to clients respectfully. The police mentioned you were stressed and acting aggressively and yelling during our meal was unacceptable. Many clients there looked at you and shaked their heads because you made a scene. If you are unable to manage your temper you should not be in a restaurant, even your colleagues told us you are a chef, admitting you have a bad personality, while they were super nice even they were busy. Your restaurant is fully booked because of the location, it’s 31/12 and the welcoming waiters, but obviously many clients left and never came back because of your snobbish behaviour towards clients. Other days it’s empty because of you. Sooner or later you won’t be there if you continue insulting clients. How educated were you 😉 yelling loudly doesn’t mean you were right. p.s. I paid for my food without finishing them because my kids were scared of your uneducated attitude. I was trying to order a steak for my daughter because her soup never arrived but you yelled at me saying you are not the waiter, then why you came to our table? Or you should put a sign saying “I’m NOT a waiter I just walk to your table” then others know you are superior ok you ordered me to “eat your food and leave” so I asked for the check as you ruined our appetite; again, you yelled “I’m not the waiter! Go back to your country” with a rude hand gesture like this 🤌 ” yes I just wanted to pay and leave but there were no waiters around. You need to learn how to treat others with respect. You have issues, you need help. What a weird impulsive person. Bye!

A good place at a good price. We had dinner trying different types of Founde and Raclette, as well as some steak and pasta (we went several times). Recommended place with good cuisine and quality.

Traditional Swiss food , the menu is extensive. The place is usually crowded in the weekend and there is little space between tables. Service is fast and people are very friendly. Our waiter was Melvine and he was a delight. The fondue and the rosti were delicious, however the perche fish had some bones and too much lemon sauce which was not mentioned in the menu.

The best dining experience I've had in a long time. When entering I wasn't expecting much. The waiter didn't say much and just led us to the table in an unwelcoming manner. I would soon change my mind though. From there another waiter took over and did an amazing job. Super friendly, funny jokes and a patient and yet quick service. The food itself was stunning. Simple yet perfectly executed. We had a tartar and a steak with pepper sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection. A nice crust, while tender and juicy inside. The pepper sauce was also amazing. Amongst the best I've had. The deserts were also well executed and delicious. We had the lava cake. At the end of the day it was a great way to finish the trip and start the new year.

Disappointed with my last visit. We had Zurich-style sliced ​​veal. Inconsistent dish with unpleasant sauce and undercooked rostis. We have noticed a drop in quantity and quality since their reopening. Too bad because we like this restaurant. Too touristy and noisy for our taste.

We were disappointed with the services of this restaurant, both in terms of the cuisine, the service and the price. When you request a fondue for two you have the same quantity as for one person so you pay double. Our table neighbors gave us their leftovers because they took pity on us. In addition, we arrived 40 minutes before our table neighbors and they were served before. The servant never looked in our direction to avoid answering us. My opinion is that this restaurant is a tourist trap and I do not recommend it at all. This restaurant is a disaster.

A busy packed restaurant with excellent service. We don’t have reservations but the manager helped us secure a table. We ordered the escargot, mixed salad, seafood spaghetti, chicken breast, salmon pizza and steak. The food are cooked to perfection except the beef steak was too well done even though we ordered medium rare. Excellent service provided and efficient responsive team especially the manager. A great place to dine during this festive season.

Cost classic Swiss fondue place

A great variety of typical Swiss fare and other suggestions of the chef. Fresh, seasonal and tasty, it was a feast for our senses. Good selection of wines and desserts made in the house are amazing as well! Highly recommend

Disappointed. Fondue for two people very, very poorly served. The fondue is too strong in wine, it takes over the cheese. The tuna pizza is good. Condescending waiter. I don't recommend. Nice decoration. White wine, nothing more, but the beer is good

Tasteless half-and-half fondue, tasteless rösti, Denmark cup with maybe 10g of chocolate on top... It's a shame, the place and the servers are really nice but the food clearly leaves something to be desired...

Very good restaurant to enjoy a good half-and-half fondue at excellent value for money. the decoration is cozy and warm, the servers are professional, available and friendly, you feel relaxed in this restaurant where everything goes perfectly. there are people there and that’s a good sign.

Nice place to get a fondue, opted for the fondue with bacon which was brilliant, and reasonably priced for the area. Managed to get a table for two when it opened without a booking but it was very busy. would probably recommend booking to ensure getting a table. The only slight issue I had was that, seemingly like everywhere else in Geneva it wasn't open when it said, it says it opens at 6 online and even on the door but when we got there it turned out to be open around 6:30ish

3 evenings in a row, I go there to get a table, each time refusing. I'm on a business trip and of course I'm alone. They are certainly not interested in a single person. I told the reception of my hotel, it’s no longer worth sending your professional clients.

We finished eating at 10:15 p.m. and they didn't offer us dessert or anything. Then they give us the bill because they close at 11:00 p.m. Too expensive for everything to be so normal.

Our party wanted "traditional" Swiss food so popped in here having looked in the window and decided that it looked okay. I would say that it's a little touristy but the welcome was warm and accommodating despite us not having a reservation. The fondu was delicious and despite it looking like there wasn't much to dip in it there was actually plenty and we left feeling full! It helped having a fresh salad with it which also came as a good sized portion. One of our party opted for a pasta dish which they enjoyed.

Quite nice at first glance. Decent food although not cheap, well placed, nice decor, nice server. Surprise at the bill, the 'special Petit Chalet micro-filtered' tap water at 5F per 50cl, without any warning. I am surprised, the waiter insists, I pay but take a photo of the bill, he becomes nervous and reimburses me my 5F, obviously angry. He will finish by offering me my coffee with an annoyed gesture, a priori a little in a hurry for us to leave. Conclusion: This is indeed the tourist's attempted scam, but in the end it's painful for everyone. Edit for the lovely manager who responded: I did not refuse to pay at any time. So in addition to trying to scam tourists, you are also attempting bad faith to discredit the comments. You are perfect.
