I have been going to the Jetzer bakery regularly since 2011 and can say with certainty that it is one of the best bakeries in Basel. The fresh bread and sandwiches are very tasty. Before and during the carnival there is also the best carnival beer in the city. The staff is very friendly and the service is great!!

Years ago I worked near Jetzer's and always got the tuna fish. Today we happened to walk past Zürcherstrasse and I immediately thought of the fine fish again :-). At first I didn't want to come in (it was actually time for dinner, an hour before closing time), but then my husband persuaded me. When I entered your bakery full of anticipation, I saw two fish lying in the counter from afar. Unfortunately, these were not filled with clay, but with egg. Because I didn't want to believe it, I asked the employee to be on the safe side and she confirmed that it wasn't tuna fish but egg fish. But when the lovely employee asked me if she should make me some tuna fish - my evening was saved! :-) At this point, thank you very much to your super dear employee, I ate my fish with great pleasure and with appropriate thanks :-)

Have had breakfast and lunch several times. However, we liked the brunch the best. We also had dinner on Mother's Day and thought it was great. Unfortunately it is rather small and very popular, so it can be noisy at times. However, it is beautifully designed.

Unfortunately, everything at the Fat Cart is always sold out and always too late. Should be called Empty Cart! 😡 It's no fun standing outside and waiting in the winter. In addition, time is lost from my break Unfortunately the prices are too high for 15 minutes. I can also go to the local restaurant. Conclusion: Go better in the restaurant

Were there last week and the food and service was great! The fresh orange juice, which I know from the Gundeli branch, unfortunately tasted strongly of orange peel, so a star deduction for the food (breakfast was otherwise 100%)

The current payment system bothers me. Just got in the way there. Handbag, maybe a bag, wallet in your hand - guests want to pass, etc. tedious. If so, then a cash register at the exit. Tip? It's a shame I used to be there every day. Cafe, summits etc. top. Unfortunately the staff changes too often and memory/attention is sometimes poor. And recently there has been a huge change in staff. !!?

Nice! Tasty brunch with very delicious pancakes, friendly staff made me as a foreigner calm down a little. It's not hard to find a blue disc parking space however 1 hour of parking made me a bit stressful while eating.

This was our favorite bakery. Unfortunately the staff has been changed and it doesn't look hygienic. The boxes with bread inside were just lying around and the employees ran into the box a few times. The cutlery was dirty and there weren't enough napkins and nothing was refilled. The floor was dirty as were the seats. The service was very bad there were quite a lot of new young people there and they were so slow. There were still some who looked like they were going to school. The one young stick of bread with his tongue out. The other one as if his pants would soon fall down. We wanted to have breakfast and so many things went wrong. There were three of us who got 3 pieces of bread and had to ask for something new a few times. One menu didn't come at all after a long wait and we asked questions about what went wrong. The young service employee only typed both orders and the third was forgotten. We had to wait again. The cook wasn't there either; there was another cook there. Nothing was a shame like it used to be because it was always so great and fine there. Also the hygiene there are cleaning rags lying around next to the bread. It's a shame, I hope it will soon be like it used to be because it was 5 stars

We were there at 11am for breakfast. There were no croissants, no braids, nothing, nada, except Ruchbrot. The waitress apologized of course, but we came a long way just for breakfast to eat Ruchbrot with a bit of jam and frozen butter. At least the butter could have been at room temperature - especially when you charge the customer a whopping 9.50Fr. for butter, jam and 1dl of orange juice. The omelette was not seasoned well. The ambience was nice and I'm sure the bread variations are delicious - we just didn't get to try them. But the service was quick and friendly.

When the weather is nice, it's really nice to have a little snack outside at the few seats! The quality is excellent, the service is always friendly and helpful, only the prices are a bit annoying (as they are rather expensive!)

What does Jetzger have to do with going for a walk, celebrating, "picnicing"...? You'll find what you need to satisfy your appetite. Either they bring everything to you or you pick it up on site and are personally greeted by friendly and efficient staff. And... If you go for a walk along the Rhine, then the width of the Jetzger is ideal for picking up your picnic. Bon appetit!

I was in St. Peter's Square on November 4th, 2022 to buy 30 glass smokes from Jetzer. When I got home, I noticed that the woman only put 23 pieces in my bag. I wrote an email to Jetzer and said I could pick up the missing glass smokes from the store at any time. Surprisingly, there was this package from the Jetzer bakery in my milk crate on November 14th, 2022. I find it customer-friendly.

Was there for lunch. I asked if half a portion was possible. That was bajahed. The food was actually delicious. Just the bill: I was charged 18 francs for a small half portion of cheese spaetzle. When I asked, you said: We've recently started making half portions - they simply cost exactly the same as full portions. I felt pretty ripped off and I think that if they are so inflexible and don't do half portions (because then the food has to be a little cheaper, I would be happy with just 2-3 francs cheaper) then they have to do the same communicate the order!

Hey friends At my last visit to the doctor nearby I was a little early and so I decided to have another coffee. It was my first time in this bakery and I am very impressed by the location, which is very cozy and also tastes good. The staff is very friendly and nice. The staff was courteous and professional, and would be worth supporting for that alone, but I found the eats on offer to be disappointing and unsatisfying (maybe that is just 'cause I'm a foreigner, without a taste for this particular type of fair?). Given the subjective nature of my dissatisfaction, it would probably be worth a visit for you to form your own opinion.

The legendary cold schinkengipfeli, came here just for that. The entire breakfast is locally sourced and the service is professional and kind. One of the best in town!

Although I no longer live nearby, I always return to Jetzer because it's worth it and I enjoy it. Be it for the fine brunch, the butter croissants, the fluffy Fastewähe, Wurstwegge or Raspberry Gomfi... there is always something delicious to choose from. Only the homemade orange juice used to be better - probably because the Topfit juice (including ginger) is produced in the same blender.
