Bäckerei Konditorei Confiserie Café Haueter in Adelboden

We have had a holiday apartment in Adelboden for 1.5 years. We visited the Haueter every weekend and diligently advertised it on Instagram. But what happened today is the absolute last thing on your part!! Today I was walking with our 3 kg Yorkie and wanted to buy us some nut croissants! An employee or owner with shorter reddish-brown hair comes up to me and tells me in front of everyone that she doesn't want dogs in the store and right next to the bar there were people with dogs! Then I pointed it out to her, she said the dogs didn't bother me there (2 meters from where I was standing) and she said it was about hygiene. How many people walk around with dirty shoes or children who touch everything with dirty fingers, they are bothered by a 3 kg dog that is not even as high as a boot and he was well behaved, didn't bark, plus a Yorkie is a dog that doesn't lose any hair , next to me, didn't touch anything or make a mess... it wasn't a Great Dane licking the glass counter... honestly, ridiculous statements like that... I didn't want to go into the kitchen but was standing 1 meter behind a covered glass counter. Ordering something and collecting it takes 1 minute. Dogs do not transmit diseases, just for your information! Since when is it allowed to behave like that towards customers?! Is this the new friendly way?! I was there alone and people with dogs were sitting 2 meters away, one was even on the sofa??? To be honest, I would now like to continue to explain how to deal with customers who have dogs! Of course she took the money anyway. This is a real shame, but we will avoid your bakery from now on and tell our friends about it too.

Great place in Adelboden with lots of delicious take away food and best barista coffee in town!

Very cozy cafe that is always very well staffed. The baked goods look very tasty and really are. The coffee is made with heart, as you can see in the picture below. So if you are in Adelboden and have time, I can highly recommend the Haueter bakery.

Very good and delicious selection, be it in Adelboden or in Bern on the Bundesplatz Märit, the quality bread is a delight. Try the Lohner bread, it stays fresh for a week. Culinary bakery recommendation Hans-Ueli Zmoos, Bern

Nice atmosphere and good buffet selection. Friendly service, even at the buffet. Prices are rather high and borderline. Terrace could be larger so that you can sit outside when the weather is nice.

Nice and centrally located bakery. Fine bread and usually a sweet goes into your bag.

The round bread tastes like fondue cheese (if you like fondue cheese, try it), and the bread next to it is very hard... The pumpkin soup is the only thing worth eating... But the staff are friendly.

One would be making a huge mistake not dropping by this incredible bakery. It's worth dropping by even if you are in town. I understood that it was highly rated and it did not disappoint. I recommend trying their apple strudel. The sweetness of the apple goes so well with the flaky outside crust. Their breads are fantastic, basically I could go on and on. I didn't love their coffee however. Or at least avoid the milk based options.

It was supposed to be a cozy breakfast in Adelboden. The restaurant itself is very cozy, but what I find very unpleasant is always the walk to the counter, so next time I'll stay at home because I always have to get up there if something is still missing. Very unfortunate. The staff is very friendly and the baked goods are also very tasty. The jam was much too runny for my taste.

Apparently no interest in regular customers! Customer card only physical; if you forget it, nothing can be added. This works better in other shops in Adelboden.

Exceptionally good breads that took 48 hours to rise. Fresh and delicious salads and homemade soups. And of course lots of confectionery and baked goods. Everything is great quality 😀

Rude and discriminatory owner. I don't understand if they have become self-service at a high price or just a complicated place with rude service, especially if they hear people speaking in Italian

The operating concept should be reconsidered. I found choosing drinks, remembering table numbers, ordering and paying at the counter very unpleasant. Foreign guests wait, wait, wait because they don't understand the instructions on the tables. The offerings on the menu used to be much more varied. Quality still good.

Very large assortment of delicacies. Very good organization with ordering/paying at the counter. When it comes to costs and the lack of good staff, entrepreneurs need to be creative and innovative. In addition, there are no long waiting times to order/pay during peak times. The staff might also be a bit friendlier after an intensive day at work.

If there is a bit of a crowd, the operating concept comes into play. Attack. The croissants and sandwich had long since been eaten by the time the coffee arrived (25 minutes later...). Pastries and sandwiches were very fine.

Sandwiches, bread and cake made with love and tenderness from the best bakeries I have visited .. Each type is distinguished from the other .. I recommend trying all its products because you will not regret it. It is worth visiting many times

We were there for breakfast in the morning and it was very good.

Super tasty breakfast but I find the concept a bit disadvantageous. Order at the counter, get bread at the buffet and the rest is served. But a visit is definitely worth it!

Nice coffee, the concept seemed a bit strange to me, you order and pay at the counter and are served, I think it would be better if you were completely served. The counter is right at the entrance which leads to “traffic jams”. The staff wasn't very friendly either.

Breakfast buffet on Sunday is worth it. Lovingly prepared and a lot of it is homemade. Lunch is a bit disappointing. The breads they make are really delicious.

Good products and nice cafe. However, I think it's a shame that you are no longer served at the table and the products have to be ordered at the counter. What you ordered is then brought to the table. Payment is made at the counter.

They speak english, enough to make you comfortable and able to order. Very good coffee and very good food

The basic function of a baker is to bake bread and rolls. The basic function of a retailer is to have goods in stock. If over the last few years there has only been half an offer between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and only in single copies (2 rolls of the same type?), both functions are not fulfilled. Go to Michel or Schmid or even if it hurts, go straight to the Coop. At least they won't run out of goods.

Wonderful bakery! Unfortunately there is no hot chocolate with soy milk/oat milk... a bit laggy :) but the breads are excellent!

Early super breakfast offer!! We always had breakfast there during our ski holidays for 10 years. At first it was the best offer Unfortunately they swapped the nicest seat for a useless klimbim shelf!! The breakfast buffet is no longer available either! A pity! The superfine sourdough bread was no longer included at breakfast! Hope it goes back to how it used to be!!!!!

very unfriendly service, incompetent staff and discriminatory. one sandwich fell accidentally onto the floor immediately after paying and cashier handing it over. (keep in mind, we bought a lot) they wouldn’t replace or refund, that one sandwich which is fine, but we were told to eat it from the dirty muddy floor instead?! I repeated after her: ,,you want me to eat what fell onto the dirty floor?” which she replied with: you have to understand me?! not sure what there was more to understand! so disrespectful. even the one star rating is too much. It could be the most delicious food but with such poor customer service and disrespect everyone will lose their appetite!

Rarely have I had such good baked goods

Everything looks very nice, large selection and nice back room to sit down. Why only 1 star? I was very frustrated because we hadn't been served after about 15 minutes. In order to accommodate the visibly stressed staff, the first attempt to order directly at the counter failed. So go back to your place and wait another 10 minutes in good spirits, hoping that someone will come. None. So we wanted to leave the coffee shop and have soup/warm sandwich to take away, which was only possible to a limited extent. My visit was a complete disappointment.
