Bäckerei Michel in Adelboden

Café-cum-bakery including a small grocery shop. Although very central, there is something of a mountain view from the window-side counter. All good except they close on Sundays (not a legal requirement in these parts), the WiFi password does not work (perhaps they changed it and forgot to update the record) and, not least, they charge you CHF4.50 for one cup of coffee -and that's a paper cup...!

Compared to the others on the same road, without a doubt the worst of them...

I visited the bakery twice within two weeks. We were thrilled on our first visit. The friendliness of the salespeople and the quality of the products were worth 5 stars plus. Many thanks to this attentive lady. Yesterday we, a group of seven people, went back into the bakery in heavy rain and asked for food and drink. Two chairs were missing. The very obese salesman had no understanding of our concerns. He also brusquely denied whether we could carry the small bench in front of the door into the deserted bakery so that we could all eat and drink while sitting. So we left the bakery without having accomplished anything and with an empty stomach. For this behavior, well a ONE minus is still overrated.

Bought 2 sandwiches. 1x salami = dry 1x multigrain roll with tuna = very little filling + dried tuna all around. I showed the bread roll. Answer: I say the bakery. NEVER AGAIN !
