The Cappelli peaks are top (5 stars, as is the panettone) and are far and away the best, while the Fischbacher peaks are completely inedible. It is therefore all the more incomprehensible that on Sundays, of all things, Cappelli's peaks are often only available so late (sometimes only around 1.5 hours after the shop opens), while the others can be bought much earlier. Therefore, unfortunately only 3 stars in the overall rating.

Halfway through the sweet pastry I noticed that there was (not exactly a little) mold on the bottom. For me it can't happen at a bakery.

This bakery offers great products. Unfortunately, they have learned nothing from the pandemic when it comes to digitalization. Customer payment behavior has changed in the last two years. This bakery didn't quite understand that. When you pay by card, you always get an incomprehensible look and usually an inappropriate comment or question. It's a real shame - many people no longer have cash these days.

In my opinion, the products have changed massively since the merger. So my rating has above all a nostalgic component and that's why it's so low. The famous butter croissants are simply no longer the way I used to know them. You can notice this both in terms of taste and appearance. Unfortunately, the Gustissimo bread no longer tastes good at all. That's why I don't buy it anymore, even though I loved the bread! Unfortunately, the sandwiches lack that certain something and sometimes also good filling for the price. However, the employees are great, you are always greeted in a friendly manner and the Silser croissants taste much better.

Super tasty croissants. The bakery is known throughout the city for this. But the Weder bakery in St. Georgen also makes very good butter croissants.

Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated extremely. The croissants are no longer what they used to be. Gustissimo and Shepherd's Bread: Ditto. The current mask requirement is more or less adhered to (staff with masks on the tip of their nose instead of the bridge of their nose, customers sometimes with nose puffs, 3 customers are too many for this small area, spit protection is of no use if staff and customers are basically between the two Plexiglass panels are available!). What happened to the croissants?! After continuing with the Fischbacher bakery, I had great hope that the quality/outstanding taste of the croissants would remain. Unfortunately, hope was dashed. Recipe changed? Ingredients changed? Recently coated with egg? I have no idea, but Capelli's and La Panetteria's are worlds apart. A pity.

I came across this panettone bakery by chance. Since then, whenever my schedule allows, I can't avoid it. On my way from Munich to Switzerland or back to Munich I have to pick up some of these fantastic panettones. My children start asking me about it when I just mention that I'm going to Switzerland again. For me, this is a quality that I have never found anywhere else and an indescribable taste experience. Almost a reason to go to Switzerland just for that reason.

Quality has deteriorated significantly. 1-2 years ago, the pistachio panettone still had a lot of pistachios in it and on it as decoration. Not anymore. Sometimes there are huge holes in the panettone that are not filled with dough. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right. Cappelli-Gipfeli are still ok. Brioche has become worse, as have the breads. What is offered as ciabatta is, at best, fluffier bread. Service quality is poor...20 minute wait for baked croissants on a Saturday morning. It doesn't work at all.

The best panettone ever! Since I've known this panettone, I've been disappointed with all the others. But they are very expensive. And you would still prefer to eat one less panettone because of the high prices, but the quality is even better. The difference in quality clearly outweighs the difference in price. I'm already longing for the next panettone purchase :-)

Real bakers are becoming fewer and fewer. Pietro Cappelli in St. Gallen is one of the few remaining, and he is a master of his craft. The croissants and panettone are unrivaled, as the numerous international awards prove.

As already mentioned, the prices are too high in my opinion. But it also has good things that cost.

We read about the super good panettone. We recently bought and tasted a medium sized one after Christmas. We love the panettone. Next Christmas we will only buy the panettone here. It's just so delicious and moist, which is exactly how we love panettone.

The Panetone World Champion. Even I like his panetone. It's fluffy and still fresh the next day. The fruits come from his native Italy and are processed himself. There are usually test samples in the store. The breads are also freshly prepared. These will also stay fresher for longer thanks to the resting phase. In the shop you can also buy some dairy products, sandwiches and hamburgers, which are fresh and handmade. It has a lot of meat or cheese in it.

The Capelli Bakery products are unique.
