Bäckerei Schwyter in St. Gallen

St. Fiden branch: Extremely friendly and helpful branch manager. Even with (unfortunately) changing sales staff, the weekly pre-order always works perfectly.

Very good pastries and cafes, drinks and other things! Service is friendly. The way from. Vadian statue towards Neugasse approx. 80 meters. Visited m.the bakery!? Inexpensive.

Bakery Schwyter with its traditional store on Neugasse is now represented in several other locations in and outside the city of St. Gallen. It has made its name for generations through first-class bread, baked goods, cakes and confectionery. "I like Schwyter's bread the best," is what you hear from consumers everywhere, even if they don't exactly disdain bread from the supermarket. Schwyter has done a great job of ensuring that small, cozy neighborhood and village bakeries and cafés do not simply disappear when their owners go out of business, but are continued as branches. This also preserved neighborhood life. This is exactly the case with the former Zimmermann Bakery/Café shop in St. Fiden, which is now operated as a Schwyter sales outlet. It is within easy walking distance of the cantonal hospital, the local community retirement center with geriatrics, the Bürgerspital retirement center and the Singenberg residence, the children's hospital and directly opposite the SRK blood donation service. If you're looking for a change but aren't good on foot, you'll be happy to slip into Café Zimmermann every now and then and relax there with a good coffee and pastries brought to your table by friendly service.

Not always completely clean. Bread hard the next day. Otherwise ok.

Because no more Vogelibeck, but still written like that...

Lunch is warmed up in the microwave. Personally, I don't understand why a company like this would expect their customers to do this. However, I think the bread is very good.

Kindness costs nothing, my dear ladies... what a shame.

I was there on Friday at 3 p.m. and the bread selection was very limited to boring standard wheat breads like you can buy in the supermarket.
