Bar 59 in Luzern

As long as Bar 59 isn't overcrowded, it's a pleasant place to spend the evening. If there are too many people it's like a sauna there. Except for this point. I think it's a great bar & club. The bartenders are very well organized so you don't have to wait long for your drink.

Night life in Luzern crazy place with great music 😁

This bar has been producing the worst drinks in the world for years. You can't even drink a gin and tonic there. The bartenders can do less than nothing and the ingredients used are the cheapest goods. At least the water is free to wash the stuff down. The dance floor is also dirty. I really can't understand how such a shabby shop can exist. GL must be so bad that it doesn't recognize this dismal state. Bar59 should be called WC59 or something like that.

I can't recommend DJ Michael Richter at all. Slow and fast songs alternate. This can never create a good atmosphere. He also speaks too much at the end of the songs and plays different versions of songs one after the other. After two requests for music, I was brushed off with: “My dear, I can’t just play what you want.” Definitely the worst 80s - 90s party I've ever experienced. Staff otherwise very friendly and cool location.

Top location, with top live acts. My favorite when it comes to rap acts in Central Switzerland

I think I'm too old for this place. Everyone watched me🥴 But for now it's a great place for a party

Very nice staff. The long drinks are excellent and drinks can also be prepared upon request. Recommendation: Amaretto Rebull & Williams Coke Bouncers look at who is coming in and have a well-trained eye for the wrong clientele. We like to go there, the atmosphere is really cozy and invites you to linger. Table football is free, which is very rare these days. 5 stars to you.

Visited few times in Oct 2023. It is a short walking distance from the Ibis Budget Hotel and Denner supermarket. Very chilled out place with a seperate live music area and a DJ area. great staff like ShaDi the security man and all the bartenders, and everyone made me feel very welcome as if i was a local regular!! Great selection of drinks, starting at 5 CHF for a draft beer and about 10 CHF for a whiskey. Diverse crowd of beautiful people. Would like to hang out here again in the future.

Extremely loud music, poorly ventilated, smelly toilets and 10.- entry fee for poorly composed music.

Dj from the club was really bad today👎🏽 When he heard music he became really arrogant and cheeky!!! A guy like that has no place in a club!

Well organized. Polite staff. Top for exit/event; The front area is more for younger people, the back area is for average ages from around 30 years. , depending on the event.

"Its okay" is the perfect discription. The bartenders are nice but they should retake the drink-mixing course. I know this is Switzerland, but 20 Franks for 1 long Island, which tastes bad and is bearly 3dl large is too much for my opinion.

Super great music and great atmosphere. The food is also delicious at a good price. However, no 5 stars because the DJ has to chat into Jeeeeeedessss song….. SHAME! I often have to leave earlier because the mood always fades. :(

Cool location we were at DJ Stylewarz, unfortunately there were only 10 people there. But I was pretty drunk, so I celebrated anyway. ✌🏻

Bar59 is the second place in Lucerne's nightlife! A varied program has been running every week for years. Both the club and the bar are decorated with delicate details and, in addition to direct access to the drinks, also offer a unique atmosphere. The lighting conditions and the music system are of very good quality. Security is guaranteed and the security people, as well as the bar staff, are friendly and do a good job. Entry to the bar is free and I can recommend everyone to visit this location, regardless of whether they are... a concert, dance evening or a cozy get-together.

The German from Bar 59 vallah billah even has the best waiters ever

Great place, tho the prices for the dancefloor are hefty sometimes. For switzerland it's normal I assume. Drinks and service is ok. Staff is friendly.

Good karaoke bar, you have to wait 20 minutes until the song you want comes on and up to four people can sing together. Our own vodka is highly recommended (5 Fr./shot)

Absolute madness! Great experience! 100% recommended. Perfect place to celebrate. Music is a dream - every song you can sing along to. Has a bar area and a party area. There is also karaoke. Approximately 10 minutes on foot from Lucerne train station. Average age is rather low, around 18-25 years. Admission is required for the party part...this is canceled from around 1 a.m.

Bar with a very pretty atypical decoration, but extremely strange music for a bar (experimental Led Zeppelin at 1 a.m. at full volume followed by a classic Swiss-German Schlager?). Slow service and not necessarily cheap prices. However wide choice of drinks.

Cool bar where you can sometimes sing karaoke. People line up well around the bar and in the next room where you can sing karaoke.

It has always been a place where different cultures and people meet. Unfortunately, they are now actively participating in discrimination against healthy people. Please do not shift responsibility to politicians. Everyone is responsible for their own actions.

Great bar with a dance floor with music from the 80s/90s, live DJ. Visiting from Eastern Switzerland. No entry 👍🏻 motivated bartenders. Line up people. Unfortunately, drinks are already being put away even though they haven't been finished yet. Admission rules are strenuous and lengthy due to double covid controls. (There is no entry without Covid Cert + Swiss Covid App).

Loved it all night long, till the security didn't take me out 1 minute after the last song...kinda killed the mood...lovely personel though, big ups! Definitely comin again 🙌

I'm not from Lucerne! But I always had a very good time in this bar. The people are nice and the atmosphere is very relaxed.

I think the location is quite good and very friendly. The location and especially the people there! The price is usually right. And the front floor/bar is always free entry. Music is of course a matter of taste, I like it👍🏼 But it's just a bit too dark for me and often way too warm in there in the summer. Worst of all, there are always these broken pieces of glass on the floor from very incompetent drunk people!!! That is not how it works. I got really bloody feet on my first visit there and no one was responsible for treating them! Until finally it was taken care of.

Good bar/club for a night out with Kolkegen in a relaxed atmosphere. Often great live music which often doesn't cost an entrance fee.

Cool music, salsa, funk, oldies, everything there. Dirty and homey, I like it. Unfortunately a bit remote, but you can walk to the train station within 10'-15'. Cocktail selection quite ok.
