Very pleasant coffee! Good coffee (Flat White recommended) and also our own baked goods such as: Banana bread. Nice and friendly service. Lovely again!

If you want good coffee, this is the place for you. Emil the owner is a personality, really great guy. It was a pleasure.

When you call yourself a barista, your expectations naturally come with that. The espresso had a very high acid content, which destroyed the actual taste. It's a shame... had a total of 3 of them, we want to be fair. But all three were affected. I also missed a strong “foam”. But hey, like everything, it's ultimately a matter of taste. Ambience: there was something cool about it, but it was really cold. Service: nothing to complain about, on the contrary. Very friendly and accommodating.

Very cool café in the immediate vicinity of the old town of St. Gallen. Very good cappuccino and super friendly barista. The fact that you can also buy coffee and accessories on site rounds off the experience perfectly.

As a coffee lover, I can confidently say that this cafe not only offers the best coffee in the city, but also an all-round great experience. The heart of the café is undoubtedly the outstanding coffee specialties. Every cup is prepared with the utmost care and passion. The homemade cakes are also ultra delicious and go great with coffee. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy. At the Barista you immediately feel at home, even if you come alone. The employee and the owner of the barista deserve special praise. Always friendly, attentive and with a smile on their face, they make every visit a pleasant experience. They set new standards with their expertise and knowledge in the coffee sector. You can feel your passion for black gold in every detail. I can also recommend the barista course that the café offers. The opportunity to learn more about the art of coffee making is not only interesting for coffee lovers, but adds an extra dimension to the visit. The course is well structured, informative and fun. Over the last few months I have become a regular, visiting Barista several times a week. Every visit is a small ritual that I celebrate lovingly. The quality of the coffee, the warm atmosphere and the commitment of the entire team make Barista my personal favorite place in St. Gallen.

Simply nice! Good atmosphere and very good service. Yes, you order at the bar, but during our stay we got table service for additional orders. I had the "Mystery Coffee" as a flat white, lightly roasted, fruity, very good. There is complementary water infused with mint and citrons which is a big plus. People are truly friendly and helpful, you can feel the passion for their work. My friends had Gluhwein and teas and whatnot (no coffee) and everything was really nice as well.

My favorite coffee in St.Gallen <3 They really understand coffee, you can find the bean and preparation method that your heart desires. The homemade cakes, some of which are vegan and gluten-free, are delicious and go perfectly with coffee. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish and invites you to chat or work.

Nice coffee in the city. We tried the latte and the capuccino. The cakes are also good. I loved the carrot cake but the poppy seed cake was not my favourite.

This place not only offers excellent service, but also the best coffee in the entire city of St.Gallen. I can highly recommend the Melbourne Latte ☕. The combination of the perfectly prepared espresso and the creamy milk foam was simply divine. Every sip was a pleasure and I could literally feel the care and passion that went into making my drink. During our visit to St. Gallen, motivated by the very good reviews of the café, we walked to Blumbergplatz. Our assessment: Quality and service “Top, Top!!” We have rarely had such a good cappuccino. The home made cake is also very tasty. Last but not least, the owner of the house is very friendly and service-oriented.

Really good coffee and tempting cakes

Very cosy caffé with homy atmosphere. I've been here only a couple of times for a coffee before my meetings. I love the corner with books shelves, the fact that the place is rather quiet and you can have restful time for yourself or chat with a friend without too many distractions. Highly recommended, I will come back again! ☕ 🥐 👍💯

Pastel de Nata + Cinnamon + Kaffi = ❤ Pretty café with character & charm. Trained staff, personal service. Price-performance, especially in terms of quality, is right - I really appreciate this restaurant and every visit was great. If you complain about the prices, I recommend the Migros/Coop restaurant. You can get coffee there from Fr. 3.50 😉

Wonderful specialty coffee in a cosy place. Top brewing gear (La Marzocco Strada) and specialized barista with own roast coffee beans. This is a unique such specialized place in St Gallen (maybe in all Eastern Switzerland). We Would definitely come back!

I really like being at Barista, 1. because of the delicious coffee, 2. because you immediately feel welcome and 3. the atmosphere is simply cozy and homely. A great café with a welcoming and friendly owner who knows his craft. For those who wants something beyond the café lattes and espressos, I recommend trying the filter coffee here.

The best coffee shop in the town. The owner is super friendly, kind and even after he closed he had offered us to make some hot chocolate and macha last week. The place is really cozy and has a home vibe, it is a shame that covid can not let us enjoy hanging there. I highly recommend this little treasure box for those who want a good type of coffee.

Wer gerne richtig guten Flat White oder andere Third Wave Coffee Spezialitäten trinkt, ist hier genau richtig. Wir als Exil-Berliner haben hohe Kaffee-Standards ;), die hier absolut gut getroffen werden. Aktuell im Lockdown kann man hier Kaffee, Tee usw. nur zum Mitnehmen bekommen. Ansonsten wäre dieses kleine Café in der Nähe vom Markt auch sehr einladend zum gemütlichen Niederlassen und Kaffee geniessen. Seit Kurzem werden hier Kaffeebohnen auch selber geröstet. Man sei sich noch am Ausprobieren, sobald man das optimale Rezept gefunden habe, soll man dann auch die hauseigenen Röstungen für zu Hause kaufen können. Wir sind gespannt und freuen uns schon darauf. Die aktuelle Röstung wird bereits für den Flat White verwendet und schmeckt hier schon richtig gut.

The tastiest coffee or cappuccino in and around St. Gallen is the direction you drive from Konstanz. Very nice location, very cozy, super clean and the cakes are a dream. Simply the best coffee in St. Gallen and the surrounding area. It's also super cozy and there's a wonderfully warm atmosphere. And there is also heavenly cake here... What impresses me most is the consistent selection of the best products - without additives and always with sustainability in mind. Everything is just right here.

I like the coffee a lot, however the service of some of the employees is really a disaster (some of the employees are friendly, but the man is not nice at all). so bad for such a wonderful coffee :( I would have loved to talk to the employer that he realizes this, but I hope he/she could read my comment to see how friendliness to clients is as important as the product itself.
