Very friendly service. I wanted to take a few tasty little things home with me from vacation and specifically asked for a few things. Was shown everything and helped too. Top!

Well-kept coffee. Patisserie, dishes and chocolate creations are very tasty. Coffee in small or large cups. Various teas of very good quality. The bakery is run very sustainably.

It really depends on who is behind the counter. Today I experienced the version unfriendly and not attentive. I wanted a pretzel croissant and discovered a soggy butter croissant at home.

It's funny how the store has changed recently, with hardly any bread products in the range other than in the morning, closed on Sundays, forever under renovation, no more breakfast, etc. Soon to be declared bankrupt? New leadership? Only the staff is much nicer than before.

I think the prices are special. Almond croissants (very good thing) 3.80 to take away. The same almond croissant at the bar table or at the bistro table costs 4.00. By the way, it's self-service. The more than 5% higher price cannot be due to the charming service staff.

Update: The range is still small, after the renovation it is still not an unkempt restaurant with dirty floors and tables that have not been cleared, unfriendly staff, nothing special, not even after the renovation. There are better baked goods around the corner, but the quality here is not particularly good...

Yes, we currently have to complain about increased inflation, but that doesn't justify these outrageous prices, which have been increased again. 4.20 CHF for a ham croissant? With what justification? Hands off!

Glatz is a nice bakery in Längasse, they have an amazing initiative, they sell the products of the day before discounted. The rest is quite a good quality

I've been going to Glatz Beck in Bern's Länggasse for years to buy Mandelbärli as souvenirs and gifts and I've always had success. Today it was about a farewell gift for the long-time saleswoman Ms. Gauch at the Lehmann's family butcher shop there. And again the Glatz saleswoman gave me competent and reliable advice. Once again a big MERCI and I'll be back! Alex Trinkler Hotelier Bern PS a downer here too. I had my last day at work on June 30, 2021 and bought Mandelbärli for well over 150 CHF. When I went by last week for a smaller gift, I was asked to use the new Glatz Beck prepaid card. On the one hand I consider myself lucky to have received them, but at the same time I was also disappointed that I didn't receive them 10 days earlier so that I could get points from the big purchase. Because you can't have them credited afterwards as it says in the general terms and conditions... what a shame!

Croissants are of poor quality. Bought at 8am and all 4 croissants were dry and hard and in the end they cost 9.00. You can find better quality at Migros for half the price.

Bakery-café in the Längasse neighborhood. Everything is delicious, the bread, pastries, cakes, etc. Very friendly service and here you can also buy the famous and delicious almond bears (Berner Mandelbärli) in all its varieties.

Can only be recommended! Very friendly staff and good coffee. The selection of confectionery is overwhelming. The café is really inviting. I'd love to come back!

The pastries are actually good, although the tuna sandwich was a real letdown; three leaves of lettuce and tuna paste for approx. CHF 7 - 8.-. You can get better sandwiches at every other gas station. A real disappointment for a Beck.

A safe value, the brackish products are of the finest quality, I know of few ham croissants in the city of Bern that can stand up to Glatz, coffee and tea are also delicious, so if you like cake and coffee, you're in good hands here, bon appetit

Especially on a day as warm as today, the delicious Frappé in Glatz was extremely tasty. But the croissants, cakes and breads are also very tasty. The employee was very friendly and the frappe was really nice. I would have a strawberry frappe.

Best croissants in town, even if they get more expensive every year. The first and perhaps largest branch of this Bernese bakery. The so-called Mandelbärli are very popular, although I recommend the “Original” variety.

Cozy place to drink coffee and eat cake.

A latte machiatto for more than 6 CHF which seemed to contain no coffee, really not very good, cold atmosphere, immaculate room upstairs, as cold as a hospital (everything is white, even the parquet floor), without the less decor. To use the toilets (dirty and paperless during my visit), you have to go back downstairs and ask the cashier for the code... frankly pointless, not user-friendly and too expensive.

The fine “Almond Bears” are available here...
