Bloom Hotel & Bar in Basel

Lack of light, tiny rooms, horrible atmosphere. Limescale in the shower, dust in the room, poor quality bedding. In short, we couldn't stay, even for 1 night. We are still waiting for reimbursement for breakfast since that is all that we were offered as compensation.

The more I read the comments, the more I tell myself that the standards of Swiss hotels for people are low. 160 francs for the equivalent of a youth hostel is not good value for money, it’s scandalous. I suspect a recent change in ownership or management with an emphasis on previous good ratings and a forgetting of recent bad ratings. The receptionist was certainly friendly and smiling, but her attitude made us totally uncomfortable. There was smugness and a lot of surprise in his eyes when we expressed our displeasure. She must be aware that something is wrong. I read too many comments from people who left scandalized and who were never reimbursed without of course receiving a response from those in charge of the establishment.

The staff is very warm and nice. Nothing is missing. Location directly at the Basel exhibition center. I only stayed one night at Morgestraich, it was ideal.

Hello... I spent MORGENSTRAICH in Basel as always and was a guest at BLOOM for the first time. It was a stroke of luck that I found this small and personal hotel...everything was nicely decorated, very friendly reception, rooms were small, very clean and everything you needed was there. The breakfast was heartily prepared and comfortable for höckling and relaxing. Gladly again - all the best... kind regards, Markus Rickenbach
