The food and wine were very tasty and the portion size was great. The prices are rather expensive - but it's definitely worth the money! We will definitely eat there again!

Loved brunch here. We were a group and I was invited. It was a perfect experience, very nice people, food and coffee was good.

Beautiful food and magical atmosphere. The waitress was so kind and seemed genuinely invested in our experience, bringing us a sample of a dish for free and asking if we wanted to wait to drink more of our wine before bringing dessert. Highly recommended to anyone going to or in Zurich. Everything was perfect.

Walked pass this restaurant numerous times and finally trying as a recommendation from a friend - was pleasantly surprised with the menu and the quality of the pasta dishes. It’s the perfect spot for small group dinners.

We had brunch on a Saturday. It is probably better to reserve- even though there are places inside and out, around 12 it gets really crowded. Food is lovely, prices for Zurich okay. I would recommend to go for Berta brunch (with mushrooms and haloumi) rather than taking a salmon toast, I tried both and the former tasted more interesting.

I live in Kreis 3 since 12 years. I have been to many restaurants in the neighborhood and have always felt welcomed in 99% of them. Tonight was the exception. Kreis 3 is one of the most friendliest and chilled out neighbourhood of Zürich. However, tonight we were greeted by this guy wearing specs who basically made us feel unwelcome with his unfriendly attitude. Words belied his body language. We felt utterly uncomfortable. As soon as we sat down the first question came flying - water with gas or without gas. Wait dude. At Least welcome your guests before trying to make money with 5 francs of water. But, the lady working besides him was very nice to us. We were told that the portion were small so we were made to order appetizers, which we didn't plan to. But, when the main meal arrived that for us it was enough. If you are looking for an Italian restaurant this is not the one. There are many authentic Italian restaurants in Kreis 3 with a good chilled mood and ambiance where you feel welcomed and treated with respect. Food at Bottega is average made to look like gourmet fine dining. I will not suggest this place to any seeker. We are not one of those fussy individuals who give a bad review because it didn't meet their personal standard. But the vibes this guy gave choked us before we can chew our food. Restaurant is not only food but service as well.

Today I was at Bottega Berta for the first, but certainly not the last, time. Small but selected menu, and when we wanted to have a dish from the evening menu for lunch, that was no problem (and the tartare was excellent!!!). In general, the service was above average friendly and attentive. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

This was a very nice surprise. We wanted to go see the blooming trees and initially had another restaurant in mind when walking past this one and decided to change plans. Food and service were excellent. The dishes are a little on the smaller side - which I don't mind because that way you can try more things - but for their size also on quite pricy. Nevertheless amazing quality food. Service was also very thoughtful and easygoing.

Maybe I am an uncurable romantic of giving this place 5 stars without being absolutely perfect. But clearly the pasta was great, they gave us a seat last minute without a reservation, lovely atmosphere and great service. Also interesting deep fried chestnuts dessert, even tho' wouldn't order again. Osso bucco was a little too hard for my taste.

The food was good but the portions are really really small. We got a "grosse" Version of a pasta dish and it was more like what i would call a normal sized portion. Also the waiter forgot to mention that the "grosse" Version costed almost double the price mentioned in the menu... Besides that the place is nice and cozy, just be sure to at your expectations right

The food was excellent. We had octopus, ravioli, lamb, oso buco, and cheesecake. Everything was super tasty and a pleasure for the eyes too. The only thing that could be improved is that it was very noisy (or maybe we were just unlucky with the other guests when we visited).

Unfortunately it's no longer what it once was. The food has fallen from excellent to average (note: I can only report on vegetarian options) and the service, although quite good, has lost some of its warmth. It has now simply become a sweet "OK restaurant", but is no longer the top-class Italian pearl on Idaplatz.

Food is good but the portions are to small for the price. I was still very hungry after the meal. And asking CHF 4.5.- for tap water is a shame!

Top service, good wine recommendations, the entrecote on the aubergine really hit the spot! Everything was perfect from A to Z.

We were extremely disappointed and left the restaurant hungry. the portions are mini and overpriced (vegan main course is a piece of eggplant and a few artichokes!!). The water was 2.50 per person, in the end we paid 9.00. never again!!!

Ich war am 27. November wieder einmal mit meiner Partnerin in der Bottega Berta. Wie immer ein Highlight trotz Corona. Die Corona-Vorschriften gut und kreativ umgesetzt. Wir fühlten uns sicher.Der Empfang wie immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Als Vorspeise hatten wir einen Teller Antipasti, mit guten Produkten und schön angerichtet. Zur Hauptspeise einmal Spaghetti Bolognese und Steinpilz-Ravioli. Beide Speisen sehr gut und in schönen Portionen. Die Spaghetti al dente und nicht all pampa. Kleiner Tipp: die Spaghetti vom gleichen Hersteller aber etwas dünner, damit sie besser mit der Gabel "geringelt" werden können. Zum Trinken hatten wir einen italienischen Hauswein, absolut empfehlenswert zu einem guten Preis! Es war ein schöner und angenehmer Abend!Danke dem Team, auch in anspruchsvollen Zeiten eine Topleistung.
