The meal was excellent, the horse meat was very tender with a morel sauce which was just perfect, not to mention the fries which seemed to be homemade! We ate in this brasserie at midday, having an appointment nearby. We were pleasantly surprised. We ate veal escalopes with morel sauce with pasta and fried roast beef. Both dishes were good, with a mention for the escalopes, really very good, well grilled, the sauce very tasty and in quantity, the legs well cooked. The lady serving extremely pleasant and efficient. With a salad as a starter, drinks, the bill was more than correct. I would return there at the next opportunity.

A disaster! The reception at the telephone was not great when booking (we had taken Realdeals vouchers for 4 people) because we wanted to come at midday but the vouchers are not accepted (no indication when purchasing the vouchers). The boss told me that it was Realdeals who made the mistake, not him. In short, we are booking for a friend's birthday on Monday February 28 (coming from Neuchâtel, we have March 1 off). Arriving at 7:30 p.m., the waitress came to take our order even though we had not taken off our coats! She asks us what sauce we want... uh, well, what do you have? We choose but want to have an aperitif first. So we order our aperitifs. My orange juice was not shaken first and all the pulp remained at the bottom of the bottle. 6 minutes after receiving the aperitifs (!), the waitress rushes to bring us the salads. Rather premature the service. Well, we're tackling the salads with our aperitifs but it's starting to tickle me. 5 minutes after clearing the salads, the slates arrive.... yes, we still have our aperitifs because it's been less than 30 minutes since we arrived!!! There, I call the person at the bar so I can order drinks for the meal because the waitress didn't bother to come and ask us what we wanted to drink. The meat was good but the choice of sauces (made standing with our coats) was not wise because the Café de Paris is in fact a frozen slice which only melts if you let your meat cook for a long time on the slate.. Goodbye rare meat !! There, on the other hand, we stayed with our empty slates for a good half hour without anything being cleared. I should point out that it was a Monday evening and that it was frankly not full. And our misadventure is not over... I asked for the dessert menu!!! Well, yes my friend celebrated her 50th birthday all the same... The dessert menu is a simple sheet placed in a transparent binder pocket. There are 4 kinds of balls (chocolate, vanilla, coffee and apricot) but there was no more chocolate, a colonel or apricot sorbet, a Denmark cup, a cassatta or an iced parfait... Honestly, I was expecting a slightly more extensive choice. And the layout is at the level of a 15 year old child. In summary, with everything that restaurateurs cried during the Covid-related closures, I thought that the service during the re-openings would be much more pleasant and professional than that!!! That everything would be done to ensure that customers are happy to come back to the restaurant and above all, that they want to come back. Apparently not in this one. We had a good evening but not thanks to the smile or the friendliness of the waitress nor the services of the restaurant. The 2 stars are only for the meat. We will not return and certainly do not recommend it.
