Brasserie du Molard in Genève

Dirty, indifferent, slow, terrible service. Food was bad to fair. Tables dirty, appetizers served without any silverware, napkins or plates. Had to go find the waitress who was eating behind the bar. Finally just asked for the bill, waitress brought another table's bill (over 40chf more than our tab), got our actual bill and went for dinner elsewhere.

Very poor service. I waited at the table for almost half an hour, and the waiter did not come over.

I had an appointment for a potential job as a waiter: once I arrived, I was taken directly without worrying about who I am. After 45 minutes of work, the manager came to tell me that they had the wrong person (so I wasn't supposed to work). I still find it quite serious and alarming to the extent that I could have been an industrial spy (given the opinions there is nothing good to observe there) or simply a filthy incompetent. Damage !!!! They still offered me to stay: something I refused. Otherwise they remain nice but kindness is unfortunately not everything, especially with the prices indicated on the menu.

Place that can be nice! Real brewery! Unfortunately the toilets are not clean and their wine is quite expensive! It's a shame!

Overpriced and a ripoff for tourists A fondue à trois is that (see photo) just 6 potatoes and a small pan of cheese. Price of fondue (90 chf for three people) the worst place to eat fondue. Incomprehensible the price and the aggressive and poorly polite service. Never come please. If you want a good fondue you have to go to the small restaurants outside Geneva in the canton of Vaud where Valais has the best price/quantity relationship

The chef's burger was very good, as was the amber beer! Top service :)

Place was pretty atrocious not going to lie. We didn’t receive most of the food we ordered. The language barrier was difficult but we were fine everywhere else in this beautiful city and in other parts of the country. They took 2 hours for our fondue, which was subpar at the most. Also salty because we all burned our mouth beyond measure which ruined our food experiences elsewhere. We tried to cancel our food multiple times, but they still brought some of it. But not all of it. Overall, make a reservation for fondue at a good place, don’t stumble into this one.

The beer is disgusting and the service couldn't be worse. Avoid this place at all costs.

I was at aperitif time on Thursday, there was a slightly masculine waitress, she acted like a man... she was rude to us, I don't know if it was because of our color...

Enjoyable place serving own beer (3 choices) and traditional, simple food. Fondue is good and certainly very filling. Location is in the square with the same name: couldn't get more central.

TO FLEE !!! Looking at the menu, the dishes listed were tempting. However, upon receiving them, it was a cold shower... We ordered: the cheeseburger, the morel pasta, the classic burger as well as the poultry supreme. The hamburgers were tasteless, tasteless and the fries that accompanied the hamburgers were full of oil. It looked like the so-called fresh meat had been frozen and then thawed. The morel pasta only had 4 ridiculously sized morels. It looked like the pasta had been cooked and recooked as it was a compact, bland lump. When we expressed our dissatisfaction to the waiter, he simply replied: ''okay''. The only compensation we had following this disappointment was a bill as salty as the dead sea and 3 miserable espressos which by the way were the only dish we finished.

Amazing prices, CHF 5.90 for a coke and CHF 5.25 for a splash of lager, CHF 28.- for a cheeseburger that looks like nothing!!! And for that you have to become a bad-tempered worker and go to toilets so dirty that you prefer to abstain and let's not talk about the smell in the restaurant!!! Consuming at these prices means maintaining a real loss of purchasing power; simply don't go there, it's better. They aren't even able to pay someone to clean the toilets with the unhealthy margins they have, we wonder what it's like in the kitchen? CHF 4.- for a carafe of water when you drink, water is free in Switzerland and it costs more than CHF 12.- per liter!!! Simply abused, these are the prices of a 5 star in an unsanitary place. Tourist trap nothing more.

We waited 30 minutes to be served if I hadn't shown up. The waitress was not professional at all. We had the feeling that he was bothering him. When it was time to pay the bill, she attempted a smile, but it was too late. I am disappointed by this attitude, this establishment was nicer some time ago. Plus have a hot chocolate with Suchard in a sachet for 5.20 CHF?????? The quality has dropped significantly.

Brew there own beer which was very nice . Fondu was really nice with potato and fresh bread. Prices as everything is in geneva on the high side.

The fondue was delicious, the wine very delicious, the dessert delicious and the service very friendly. We loved it.

We wanted to order from the waitress, but she rejected us and told us we couldn't order 1 fondue for 2 people. But other tables had the same service. He treated us according to our wishes, racism... we are very sorry.

The staff of the restaurant are completely racist. They do not want to serve Turks. Such citizens do not suit such a civilized country.

Terrible experience - 1st we waited around 20 mins before getting being serviced. We told him that I was celiac (he came with an icecream with biscuit back to me) and my son who has diabetes took over an hour to eat because they wouldnt bring the food quick enough as I requested. His blood sugar went terribly high and due to this, he spent the whole day unbalanced. Horrible. Not coming back

Servers not very friendly, I have been waiting for 20 minutes to be served, I asked for 2 different servers and still nothing although the gentleman next to me was served straight away, I may not match the standard!!!! For a disappointing and overpriced brewery

Bad treatment and lousy hamburger! After a misunderstanding between the waitress and us, who got pissed off, we got our second hamburger. She almost tossed it to us on the table with a sour look. When we were about to start eating, we discovered that the hamburger was completely raw inside (see picture). We complained and she gave us the bill and wanted us to pay for them!! After we divided a little, we didn't have to pay, luckily what! No place to recommend, 👎

The welcome is really nice, the fries smell like overrated oil... (a shame), and the atmosphere is impacted by the stress conveyed by the staff who are under high pressure. If I had to give stars only to the staff, they would have 5, but the boss must absolutely realize that for the good of them and the customers, he must hire at least 1 more person who takes care of the service. I won't come back, that's for sure. THANKS.

One more beer before returning home to the hotel...it's perfect. Enough space for a small group, time is not an issue. Quiet atmosphere in which happy discussions can take place.

The place is beautiful and so busy that the quality of service is not a criterion for recruiting staff. Very poor quality of service.

Fast and efficient service despite a lot of people this Saturday. The terrace is always very pleasant in this area. The salads are copious and the burger is very good with meat from the Molard butcher's shop.

The heat that reigned in Geneva encouraged us to stop at the Molard brasserie more to drink than to eat. And then finally to accompany the very good beers, brewed on site, we let ourselves be tempted by the excellent tapas. And finally, the gourmet coffee held out its arms to us and concluded this evening in style.

Impolite staff, food was late, they charged us double the price, the food was cold, the flame of Fondue 🫕 flame got to our face and staff were not helping! Nit recomendeing them at all! Don't waste your money!

Very bad service. It's a shame because it could do a lot even on the tourist level. The restaurant really disappointed me when receiving the bill. example on the menu the syrup is indicated at 2.5frs so we receive our syrup with a base and a bottle of water. They don't bother putting tap water and so giving us a bottle of water for 4frs without asking us we end up with an addition of 18.5frs for 2 syrup. Very disappointed. Luckily we can't give less than one star, I don't recommend it. (Not even the waiter says “hello”

We were recognized as tourists and simply not served. At the next table, an aperitif and a fondue were served before we were even allowed to order. No thanks also to the prices. Disproportionate. It's worth walking 300 meters and visiting the surrounding restaurants.

Craft beer has a high alcohol content. Don't drink too much!

The food is terrible. The mushroom pasta tasted like it had sand in it. The chicken dish was awful too. I found a hair in my food. The wait staff were trying hard, but they were very understaffed. The location is good, but there are at least 5 other comparable restaurants there. I regret not paying more to eat at one of the other places in the same area. Worst restaurant we’ve eaten at during our week long vacation.

2 of us dined in last night and got the fondue. The people were friendly, but service was extremely slow despite most of the restaurant being empty. It took 5 minutes to get employees' attention each time, incl. the fire not working for the fondue, no soap in the bathroom, etc. They charged us CHF 4-. for une carafe d'eau and we felt like we were caught in a tourist trap. Food flavor was ok.

Wait 25 minutes for the waiter to come and again it was me who called him, then wait another 25 minutes for the waitress to arrive to serve the table next to her and looks at me and says relax and smile with a superior air Even though I didn't speak to this bitch, we finally went to have a drink elsewhere, zero service and really not professional. I can recommend it. Fondue was very fine and sufficient. Mood very pleasant. Staff friendly and professional. House beer very fine!

Exorbitant price (28€) for an execrable fondue accompanied by 5 potatoes the size of half a ping pong ball. You have to pay an extra €5 for 5 additional potatoes and €8 if you want 3 slices of bresaola (cold meats) the thickness of cigarette paper. Before getting this, the wait is endless and the service is really minimal. Such a disastrous performance is still a shame.

Lamentable 30 minute wait for 2 drinks

I think the place should limit its offer to serving beers, and should not propose any food (unless it changes the cook). I ordered filets de perche and these were the worst filets de perche I’ve ever had. No taste, no flavor. Needless to say they arrived with cheap flavorless French fries and no vegetables (not even one leaf of salad). Everything was lacking of taste and spices, and when I shared our view with the waitress, she proposed us to salt the dish ourselves. My children’s menus were the same - tasteless, with any flavor. My husband’s truite fish was okey, accompanied with the cheap can marinated peppers, but definitely we would never eat there again. The place is only good for sitting and having drinks, as you can enjoy the city center and the lake’s air by.

Simply horrible! 0- home 0- listening to customers I strongly advise against apart if you have 40 minutes to wait!

If I could put 0, I would! We waited well over 30 minutes, but the waiter preferred to take orders from the next table with pretty women. Our table with a mother and her baby stroller is not interesting, I guess. Very disappointed, we left.

Very poor night service. The waiter inside did not want to serve us because he only took care of the interior and the waiter in charge of the terrace we never saw him, we were a group of 7 who sat on the terrace for 1h30 .

Very unfriendly and unhelpful staff. After 15 minutes of waiting for a table, we signaled to the waiter who told us curtly “you have to wait”. Disrespectful and rude.

From the outside it might look like a pub where you eat and drink well. In reality, very expensive craft beer (€10 per pint) and not even very good, served with lemon. Unfriendly staff, and a cool environment. Not recommended

I am unfortunately disappointed with my experience at Brasserie du MOLARD Although the place was pleasant and the staff friendly, I was not satisfied with the owner who made us pay double the price in Euros even though we had not Swiss franc. I hope this constructive criticism helps the establishment improve, and I wish them good luck for the future.

A shameful business to avoid for foreigners, the owner doesn't like them according to one of the waiters. If you pay in euros, you are charged almost double the Swiss price. The exchange rate does not exist for her.

Rude waiter. Don't say hello but only look at you. 20min to bring a coffee and a coke. Don't bring an ashtray. I do not recommend!

After 40 minutes at the previous customers' dirty table, we had enough! We actually wanted to eat something, but we couldn't even order a drink! The staff cleverly ignored us. Correct brasserie with catering

We had an aperitif and did not eat there. Unmissable place for aperitifs, good atmosphere, always full. Very pleasant servers.

Food was ok but really over priced for what you got, expected better.

Nice..a brasserie..nothing more.. Except that this evening I had to wait a good 5 minutes...before being served because the bartender, who by the way was really not overwhelmed, preferred to take care of his TV than to take care of me serve..so if you want to drink a beer that doesn't break a duck's three legs either..And wait to do it..Well go for it...🤔
