It is a really good sourdough bread. Very light and well digestible. Only problem is that it’s way too dark baked for me so I had to stop buying it.

I must start saying that I love the bread of this place and it’s the only proper sourdough I’ve tried so far here is basel. However, the reason for the average review is that I went last Saturday around 4/5 pm to buy a bread and of course it wasn’t fresh but it seemed it was cooked the day before. Again, as it was late no one would expect it to be fresh but not like that either. And to charge 7 CHF for a loaf which is hard at the end of the day and burnt is not fair. I am not in favour of food waste but it should be sold for a reduced price at least.

Bread is not just bread. The quality here is 1A. The bread is crispy and lasts a few days. The service is very friendly, if you are traveling by car we recommend that you park in the Storchen Parking and then walk or cycle past. Wonderful!

Please don’t ask if they have sourdough bread because everything they have is sourdough bread! From the same dough, they make it into four different bread, with different pricing. I had Hammer and Bürli. Bürli is of course practical, a good choice, to have outside, because you just tear the bread but for breakfast or dinner at home, I prefer Hammer which one can slice into a thick piece of bread.
