Bubbles in Zürich

We went for a brunch, the food was good but as soon as we were done eating they mentioned they need the table and we need to leave, we found it inconvenient and the way they said was rude. They should tell that while we were booking the table, honestly we wouldn’t have gone there if we knew we had a limited time, we even wanted to order another round of coffee.

Cool place to get Bubble Tea in Wiedikon! The store is decorated in a nice way and they have a lot of options to choose from. Rather pricey but that is the case everywhere in Zürich.

food was ok. Was extremely disappointed to be charged 60 francs for basically 4 slices of toast and an egg! what else can you expect from switzerland. everyone here is hangry

Delicious breakfast, friendly service, good coffee

Very expensive for the quantity and quality. We paid 19.50 chf for a salmon avocado toast - the salmon quantity was surprisingly small and the bread was small and wasn’t home made or from a bakery (was supermarket American bread). Last time I tried their bagel salmon and wasn’t pleased either. On top they charge you 6 chf for a regular bottle of tap water without even telling you!! I wouldn’t recommend people to come here. I personally won’t.

Unfortunately, I missed the breakfast, but lunch was really great as well. Very friendly staff and delicious food. I’m definitely coming back to try the breakfast, too!

We were looking for a breakfast diner in Zürich, and this was one of the first places that popped up😍The English breakfast caught my eye for sure. And it definitely lived up to our expectations. Amazing service. Fun atmosphere. Totally made our Sunday🥰🥂🥰

Cozy, home made, and above all: yummy! Very good for a brunch. Book in advance especially in winter. I can only recommend.

Great choice for breakfast, especially if you like english breakfast. They don't offer the traditional Swiss breakfast croissant and jam, but they have birchermuesli. I highly recommend the "Full English" and the "Sweet French toast".

We were there for brunch on a Sunday! The food was okay (English breakfast was as expected and the chestnut cheese cake was rather heavy). The service was friendly and helpful. Lots of seating for small children and dogs are also allowed in, which creates a nice atmosphere!

The food was tasty, I had an avocado toast with smoked salmon, but they charge 4 CHF for an egg if you want to have it on your toast 🙄

We had a nice, laid-back time. Friendly staff, good prices... but when I go out for brunch, I want to eat food that has a lil' something extra. Here, I would have preferred making that dish and coffee at home. If you're the kind of person to go out for brunch because you don't feel like cooking yourself, and want to keep it affordable, this will be a wonderful fit for you! It just wasn't for me.

The food is good, there is no declaration of the origin of eggs and meat, the service has no idea where the food comes from. No recommendation.

I went for a brunch during a sunny Sunday. Cozy atmosphere, excellent service and good food. I can recommend the "Full English" brunch.

Visited Zurich and had a nice b fast

A classic breakfast with a cheese “selection” was just a croissant with some butter and confit, plus a plate with a single, fairly recent type of cheese. The fun with a tea cost a whopping 20.-. There was no response to my complaint that the cheese plate was defective. The ambience and the rest of the menu seem passable, but I think my visit was too much of a letdown to go back.

Really good and reasonable priced breakfast. We stayed in Zurich but had trouble finding a “cheap” breakfast place. Until we came across Bubbles. Delicious scrambled eggs, nice coffee, good prices and really friendly staff.

The staff was very kind and friendly. The food was also very delicious. The bagle with grains was very tasty. Hope the sandwich and the bagle was served with some side dish like a little salad or potatoes, then it will be perfect.

The menu might seem a bit basic but the food tastes amazing! Ordered scrambled eggs with mushrooms and they were very very good. It’s on a small side street so the outdoor seating is quiet and when the weather is good it’s a very good atmosphere. All in all, very good experience, would do it again.

Good service, unfortunately a bit expensive

I have visited Bubbles several times, for breakfast but also for lunch. Yesterday I was there again for lunch. Bubbles offers between 4-6 choices on the lunch menu every lunchtime, there are also vegetarian and vegan options. I had the Turkish sea bass with rice and peas in a caper sauce. The menu included a salad or soup. I chose the cream of mushroom soup, which was excellent (homemade and fresh!). The price-performance ratio is good for lunch in a full-service restaurant (19-28 CHF). All in all, it was another very pleasant visit to Bubbles and the lunch break didn't take forever thanks to the great and fast service. I would love to come back for dinner or coffee!

Decent place for brunch, but a bit worn out.

My friend and I have alate breakfast here a few weeks ago. The service was lovely and the food was pleasant, just what we needed. I mistakenly dropped some important documents without noticing when I was there. The staff were so incredibly helpful in locating it and keeping it safe until I could return. They are kind and generous people I will never forget. Truly appreciate it, thank you.

The food is quite okay and it's nice that they take care of extra wishes. It's not really a brunch though. It's an a la carte menu and, in my opinion, even for Zurich ridiculously expensive. Also, the plates are immensely big, which doesn't make a lot of sense because they are never really full, so smaller plates would mean more space on the table. But that's again, my opinion. Overall the experience was okay, but I'm not sure if I would go again

Cheesy French toast with tomatoes are a must

Great place for your coffee and breakfast.

Super friendly place with a lovely and varied brunch menu. Features a lot of breakfast classics that are well prepared with good ingredients. It’s great for a casual Sunday breakfast or brunch. If you’re more than two people definitely recommended to reserve, otherwise it’s also a nice option to wait at the coffee bar till a table frees up.

Relaxed atmosphere without chichi. Good meeting place for conversations, working, reading the newspaper, even playing. The staff is super nice and motivated. Best cheesecake!

Average is an overstatement. This place has nothing that gets even close to a proper brunch. Omelettes are below average, meat super salty. Don’t recommend it

Very friendly staff. Very obliging for English speaking tourists and had all the options we were looking for with our dietary requirements. A lovely experience all round.

Below average service. We waited 10 minutes before we had to call the waitress over for a menu; We had to wait a full 40 minutes for the omelette and the Strammen Max. However, the quality of the food was good! The only thing we could have saved ourselves was the coffee, as it was rather bad. All in all 3 stars because the food was good, otherwise more like 2 stars

First time here was great. I was promptly greeted and my COVID certificate checked. Sat down in the cosy dining area. I came for the cheesecake and was told they had a special pumpkin flavor (as pictured). I took one bite and it put a smile on my face immediately. A mix between cheesecake and pumpkin pie with the crunchy seeds on top is just lovely. Thank you! Will have to come back to try more flavors. Update! December 18, 2021. Tried the original cheesecake flavor and WOW! So so so yummy. Can’t wait to try more :) Update: We have moved from Zurich :( and we miss this place so much! Haven’t found any cheesecake near the level of bubbles deliciousness.

Went to Zurich for Pride and had breakfast at Bubbles on Saturday morning. I think it was the operator who served us breakfast. Super friendly North Germans. A little piece of old home in my new home. The breakfast was very tasty. Croissant was fantastic. All around great. It certainly wasn't the last visit there.

Lovely breakfast and great service

OK prices for Zurich - we were comforted here again after a terrible visit to a kebab around the corner. We were served friendly and quickly with a spicy omelette, scrambled eggs and Wiediker sausages, accompanied by house iced tea and Ambass beer. As mentioned before, unobtrusive and nice, the bistro chairs are uncomfortable like everywhere else but we'll be back. Certainly.

LOVED the food here! The owner came out and explained everything on the menu to us. Great mix of English and Swiss food, made with tons of love. The owner treated our huge group super well. Loved it!

Had a hearty lunch at Bubbles. Place is packed on a Sunday with the usual brunch crowd. Bubbles serves a good selection for big breakfast eaters but also for those who just need enough to power the day. The Omelette Baena is a unique spicy twist to the usual omelette. It's packed with chorizo, chili, and aubergine, drizzled with some spicy sauce. It comes with slices of toast. Make sure you have a glass of water close by.

The furnishings date back to the 1970s and are not particularly staged. The service is even better and the menu has a few surprises! Bubbles for the extras.

Nice and small with friendly staff. Lasagnes were really good and I agree with other comments regarding cakes. I definitely recommend trying cheesecake, for example with almonds and honey. Great, I'll be back :)

Ok, not great. Asked for an omelette with not toast on side because of a severe allergy. Brought omelette with toast and told to "just move it to the side". Food ok, not seasoned, and no sauces offered. Quite an unpleasant smell inside.

There are not many options and the service is not so good. We ordered cafe macchiato but got some milk coffee in small glasses. The French toast portion was very small and lacked quality. The tomatoes in the Omelette with onion and tomato were raw.

The food is good and the price/performance ratio is just OK. The price of the drinks is clearly too expensive. The operation is OK, does your job well. If several people are visiting, individual payments will generally be rejected ("we should look/twink among each other"). In my opinion, the surprise effect of the hidden food is overrated.
