Café Bistro Simpel in Basel

As a tourist I stayed in the neighborhood of this lovely café and I was so lucky with it. It was ideal for my breakfast with great coffee. Great atmosphere and very friendly owner. I definitely recommend this place❤️ Loved it

The Café Bistro Simpel is a typical city café with a fine café and homemade cakes. The restaurant is located directly on the street. In front of the restaurant you can enjoy your drink at a round table with 2 chairs. Inside the restaurant you have the option of taking a table by the shop window or a little deeper in the room for a little more privacy.

I met a friend there and we enjoyed gingerale and an organic fruit drink. Later, the host treated us to a special drink from Turkey... a kind of espresso made from roasted fruits, roughly translated as "pistachio coffee"...mmm, fine 😋🤗 There were delicious pastries on display...next time I'll bring something hungry so I can try some😉🙋🏼‍♀️

The chalet bar surprised us with normal prices, a large menu and a friendly boss. Fruit wine recommended.

We were in Basel over a long weekend and visited various cafés, but Café Simpel definitely has the best espresso and cappuccino in the city. The croissants were also very tasty and the decor with great attention to detail. The café is highly recommended

The best coffee in Basel is only available at Bistro Simpel. Let yourself be pampered with one of the best lattemachiatos, cappuchinos, coffee and other delicacies at Bistro Simpel. Come by, it's worth it. Since I'm allowed to prepare everything, I enjoy one every day good cup of coffee at Bistro Simpel. Everyone is welcome

Very nice staff, beautifully decorated especially the painted murals and the snacks taste really delicious. I also love the coffee and especially the pasta is recommended. In short, I love Café simple :)

Good coffee. But the staff suffers. Why are there always new waitresses? The boss is moody and very nervous... Unfortunately the food is too expensive.
