Café Bruderholz in Basel

The cake was heavenly and the service was extremely friendly. Gladly again (there are more cakes to try...)

We're lucky to have Café Bruderholz, what an upgrade for the area! Large sun terrace that can be used all year round, depending on the weather; incredibly nice staff that are always happy to engage in a conversation - thank you Jakob, Andres, Béa and everyone else - very good coffee! There are also delicious sandwiches and salads, as well as Birchermüesli. And: There is an extra play room for the little ones with a dollhouse, wooden train, rocking horse and books. So you can actually always go there. Personally, after two years, I would like to see a change in the cake selection, even if the cakes on offer (gluten-free ones are also available) are very tasty.

The Bruderholz Café is a small oasis of well-being where you can unwind. The food tastes excellent and you are always greeted with a smile. My kids love the little playroom and I love the delicious coffee! Thank you for thinking of all mommies and creating a place where everyone - big and small - can feel comfortable! So valuable!

If you want to feel at home, or like in a romantic movie, this is the ideal cafeteria, warm atmosphere, exquisite decoration, a wide variety of teas and coffees, as well as delicious pastries, and baguettes... the service, the attention to the client is impeccable. It has become one of my favorite places... 100% recommended

Since we've been there, our 4 year old keeps asking when we'll go back! It's great, very nice sweets, good coffee and most importantly, a dedicated little play room with sooo many toys!!!

It doesn't get any better than this. The warmth and hospitality that is the order of the day here is completely foreign to many companies. We enjoyed brunch today, October 29th, 2023 - the food was A1. The porridge was also warmed for our baby. A big thank you to Bea and Jonas for the top service! We will come back soon, thank you🙏🏼

A charming cafe with friendly service and good food 😋

Its an amazing cafe to be. The ambience of the cafe is heartwarming. Its a mix of tradition and contemporary. Super Latte Macchiato as well. Would definitely come back again from Messeplatz just to have a coffe with breakfast next time.

Mega delicious cakes and cafes!! Highly recommended. Employees also very nice. Unfortunately, the wasps outside are very penetrating and sometimes you can't enjoy the food even though it's so good. Despite everything, great! Always happy to be there 😁

Very good! Tasty food, nice place and excellent service. The only detail is that there were many flies that kept flying over the food and causing discomfort. It would be interesting to use something to scare them away.

I am thrilled every time I visit Cafe Bruderholz! It's a wonderful cafe that offers a great atmosphere. The sun shines through the windows in the morning and allows guests to have breakfast in a pleasant environment. The dishes are simply delicious and you can immediately feel that everything is prepared with a lot of love. I can only warmly recommend Cafe Bruderholz and am already looking forward to my next visit.

Actually a cozy café, very friendly and attentive service, but unfortunately it's a shame that the cappuccino isn't good at all. The coffee is very thin, the milk foam collapses, the taste is not satisfactory. The carrot cake is much too sweet, too much baking powder and Also covered with a thick sugar glaze. The "Hugo" consisted of 70% ice cubes, lemon and mint leaves, the rest tasted like water with a splash of elderberry syrup. You could hardly taste the sparkling wine and it didn't even bubble. It had just been opened, like We were told. Either it is very cheap sparkling wine that immediately loses its fizz or it has been open for a very long time. They charged 13.50 ChF for this sip. That's outrageous. All in all: luckily there are cafes with normal prices and tasty food Coffeecake.

An absolute must when you are in Basel. The quark cake is recommended. Very friendly service.

Superb experience visiting on a Sunday morning. Gemüsequiche was delicious! Cappuccino, even available with oat milk, was perfect. A wonderful addition to the neighborhood.

Mega selection of GLUTEN-FREE cakes! Seems to be the new hotspot on the Bruderholz! No wonder - friendly service, cozy atmosphere and tasty food/drinks, even for allergy sufferers! Something like that was definitely missing in Basel :)
