Great place for lunch! The team is very welcoming, the service is top notch, and the food is very good! I've been going there once or twice a week for two years and I never get tired of it. There are bowls of all kinds and for all tastes, but also alternatives depending on the season, with soups, ramen & gyoza and new bagels. I recommend +++

Best lunch spot! Fresh, made-to-order, service with a smile! Highly recommend! Charlotte and her team do a wonderful job at this quaint and cosy cafe, just a few steps away from the Messe. My favorite poke bowl is the Charlotte's Bowl, a delicious mix of brown rice, salmon, mango, avocado, seaweed, fish eggs and a yummy homemade sauce. I also am very partial to the spicy tuna poke bowl. I regularly take away but it's also nice to eat in when I have more time. They make a lovely homemade sugar-free lemonade and have a decadent chocolate brownie. Keep up the great job! It's always a highlight of my day when I'm working in Basel.

It is a super cozy place, the coffee is super tasty, with a variety of milks to choose from. The pain of chocolate fantastic and the attention really good! Totally recommendable 🥰

Unfortunately, it is not possible to pay with a card. Please pay attention: if you are a traveler and don’t have CHF, they will charge you EUR at a ridiculous rate (at other places it was +- 1:1). EUR is not 25% weaker than CHF, not even at exhange points. A credit card payment was refused just in front of me, so I am surprised about the comment below. It was my worst experience in Basel in terms of service.

The bowls taste good, but the price is not appropriate for the portion size. Furthermore, it is incomprehensible that a bowl of tofu costs exactly the same as a bowl of raw tuna or salmon.

One of the best poke bowl joint in town. A bit expensive, but all other things can be counted as “pros”. Yummy options, nice and friendly staffs, cozy and aesthetic interior. Totally recommended ✌🏽

The punch was fresh and delicious. However, 17.- for a small portion (vegan) is clearly too expensive for a lunch that didn't fill me up. That's why I wouldn't come back.

Café Charlotte, a place that offers fresh and delicious Poke Bowls to eat in or take away. Since my first visit, I have become a loyal regular of this place. The products used are exceptionally fresh, offering an explosion of flavors in every bite. In addition, the staff is always welcoming and smiling, making the experience even more pleasant. The shop is very cute and modern with coffee, non-vegan pastries, poke bowls, and sweet breakfast bowls. The vegan poke bowl is yummy, but pretty expensive. The price seems normal for Basel though. The ingredients seem fresh and the staff are very friendly. It’s nice to have the option for a vegan poke bowl on the menu! It’s good for a quick stop when hungry.

We were on the way to go on holidays and we just stopped in basel and we found this lunch place. So cute restaurant, really kids friendly and the bowls are delicuous 👍. I hope we will be soon back in basel to visit again Café Charlotte. See you soon

I tried Charlottes today and it was wonderful! Highly recommend. Great fresh food, flavorsome and the best chocolate flan for dessert. Super kind staff and a short walk from the Roche campus.

I am overwhelmed by these delicious bowls! Very, very friendly ladies at the counter. We work in the immediate vicinity and I found my new favorite cafe for some lunches.

Very likeable concept “small and fine” there are pokes as you like, made up of various fresh components... to go or to eat there. Based on rice, I had mango, seaweed, salmon, tuna... chia seeds and a lemon sauce... Super tasty enjoyed in the spring sun. The ladies at the counter were set up and friendly, a cool team.

A must-have in Basel! I've eaten a lot of PokeBowls, but the Charlotte Cafe has the best. I come here 1-3 times a week during my lunch break. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The ingredients are all very fresh and incredibly tasty. Actually even deserves 1 extra star ;-) For all Pokebowl lovers or those who want to become one - definitely eat here!

I’m a regular at Charlotte’s and always had a great experience; plus the staff is extremely kind. Definitely the best poke bowl you can get in Basel. If like me you’re going to grab lunch and have little time, get there few minutes before 12, and there will be no queue at all.

I usually like Charlottes Poke Bowls, but I don't recommend going after 12h30. The rice was running out and paying for a large bowl we received a tiny bowl with too much toppings for little rice.

VEG OK! Ideally located on one of the access routes to the Messe and the Kongresszentrum, this bistro is very well appointed. Its multilingual staff supports customers in building their Poke Bowl, a real complete meal that can be composed with 5 different ingredients combined with a sauce. The coffee is also very good, their espresso is one of the best I have sipped in German Switzerland.

Very nice little cafe with delicious pokebowls. Friendly German/French speaking staff. You can put together the ingredients for the bowl yourself and also order it to take away. When you take it with you, only the lid is made of plastic, the bowl itself is made of a paper material. Excellent.

We had a lunch with the team at Cafe Charlotte. Delicious, healthy and fresh Poke Bowls! I had the Charlotte bowl and loved the combination with cream cheese, salmon and beans. Next day I even grabbed this breakfast option for 6 Fr! It was great to meet the owner, who has done a great job setting up this place. Improvement idea: nicer seating to have a group lunch. Nicest lunch option in the area.
