Good coffee... but terrible service from the waiter

We sometimes wish the owner would say a simple hello to his loyal customers, who have been frequenting his establishment for 20 years! But that's too much to ask! I complained about the croissants about a year ago! Since they went to buy them at the Portuguese bakery, things were better! But yesterday, the croissant was inedible! Why so big anyway? We simply ask for quality. I am loyal, give very good tips, but what do we do for ourselves? It's my breakfast and sometimes I would like some toast or something!!! THANKS Tried the croissants this morning while crossing the street opposite) tearoom with large terrace, excellent croissants (like those at Le Merveilleux)

It's very good and the welcome is good, there is some much appreciated jazz music. We're good there. Beautiful terrace.

Christmas Eve, very nice where at the table of friends we enjoyed the Christmas menu. As a starter "Fan of Gravlax salmon, salted ricotta and julienned Granny Smith apple", on the menu "Fondue Bacchus with red wine, marinated rump steak and homemade matchstick fries" the final touch "lemon sorbet drizzled with yellow Chartreuse" all prepared and served by dynamic and very friendly staff.

Very good restaurant, careful dishes, quality dishes

We arrived a little late, around 9:30 p.m., with 7 people and the service was really great, staff pleasant and helpful, and the food was good but not exceptional unfortunately (The meal was still good!) But I still recommend this restaurant!

Recently, I had the best risotto there. Really recommend this restaurant. Only fresh and tasty meals! 😍

We have been there 3 or 4 times, we eat well there, my husband enjoyed the kidneys and the menu or plate of the day is very nice, which you can even have in the evening if they still have some. The cook Léon is very friendly and helpful

Very nice waitress, very pretty terrace, but inedible meal too salty and far from what is described on the menu. For example, soft-boiled egg is actually a hard-boiled egg, the chef's excuse: normal since I prepared it this morning and reheated it... :-) go there just to have a drink. But be careful with the mojitos because they are made with apple juice. :-)

We love this place ideal for meetings with friends. Christian and his team are always warm.

The problem is that it has unfriendly servers.

Relatively quick service for a lunch, I go there regularly, they are consistent on the quality of the food and the portions are sufficient. Prices, like everywhere, are starting to rise a little but it remains affordable for lunch.

Popular café, bistro in this neighborhood par excellence. Better at off-peak times although there are always people who can raise their voices without understanding it. Kind staff for a coffee or aperitif service. Good management of the interior and exterior combination.

Had a decent time here at Café du Rond Point. Didnt manage to grab any bites so won't be able to comment on that at this time, but shared a few gin/tonics and it was all tip top. Prices are very reasonable, especially this downtown in Geneva. Service was a little hard to get a hold of, but not due to lack of trying. There simply weren't enough servers at the time to cater to everybody. Would not mind coming back to give their other menu items a try.

A simple and welcoming brasserie next to the trams. A cuisine that goes well for a quick lunch with a plate of the day that is not too expensive. I like.

High prices, dirty tables and poorly polite staff... I strongly advise against it.

The waiter/manager didn't even say hello and seemed really haughty when we just asked him the restaurant hours. He was really rude in his response and was sullen because it was closing (but we asked for another day). Too bad. You have reviews at 3.8 out of 5, this is not a coincidence. Please re-card your staff/manager. We also told him that this kind of attitude in service is a shame. He just said “everyone has their own way of being”. This is not at all respectful or professional. Otherwise, you will see that with social networks, everything will circulate and spread faster than you can imagine. You will quickly lose customers if this continues. The most deplorable service I have ever seen in Geneva... what a shame

Très bonne ambiance habituellement mais méfiez vous du patron, il est incroyablement irrespectueux et se permet tout et n’importe quoi. Nous étions un groupe de 5 filles et on attendait 2 autres nanas dispersées sur deux tables de quatre. Mon amie et moi avons demander de rajouter une table à la notre. Monsieur est venu prendre la table sans se présenter alors que nous avions demander l’autorisation aux serveurs, à toucher ma bière (COVID au top) a été grossier au possible, s’est permis de prendre nos chaises alors que nous attendions du monde en proclamant «le roi ici c’est moi et c’est comme ça que ça se passe» pardon le boss.. Aucun respect pour nous jeunes clientes de 23 ans! Alors attentions mesdames.

Déjeuner à 3 dans un café bien connu à Genève, ma première fois. Beaucoup de plats de brasserie à des prix abordables pour Genève, ce qu'il convient de souligner ! En entrée, 2 os à moëlle coup dans le sens de la longueur avec crudités, à suivre ravioles de queue de boeuf, veau et huile de truffe, le tout bon, bien servi. Beau choix de vins genevois

Coin idéal pour un bon petit repas rapide

Un vrai bistrot avec une déco de bistro. Un patron accueillant qui vous reçoit comme à la maison. Une carte petite digne de qualité et de bons produits.

Le serveur il dis même pas bonne jour

La cuisine est assez bonne (un peu "grand-mère française" ), mais le reste, tout simplement atroce! Il y a eu des serveuses adorables, notamment une française pétillante et une jeune éthiopienne adorable, aux manières exquises, par ailleurs, des slaves arrogantes aux manières détestables: ça va ça vient...Il faut dire, à la décharge du pauvre personnel, que le patron – qui doit être un affreux radin – laisse une seule serveuse s'occuper d'un nombre de tables qui demanderait 3 personnes dans un bistrot normal... à elle de se débrouiller avec les clients insatisfaits, quand bien-même elle donne le meilleur d'elle-même... Comme l'ont signalé d'autres commentaires, les toilettes sont le plus souvent d'une saleté intolérable en Europe.Pire: j'arrive ce soir à 21 h et l'on m'annonce que la cuisine est fermée!!!.... quand bien même le jazz et le style un brin "parisien" ne laisse rien présager d'un réfectoire de prison ou d'EMS... J'ai simplement dit au serveur, qui semblait ne rien voir de choquant à cela, – voire, se montrait arrogant– que je regrettais que notre Sainte Inquisition n'ait fait le travail qu' à moitié et n'ait pas brûlé tous ces affreux calvinistes, et que j'allais voir à quelques jets de pierre si des catholiques ou des musulmans n'avaient pas envie de travailler. 5 minutes de marche, et j'ai été accueilli par de sympathiques Calabrais, qui m'ont servi un excellent repas, avec des sourires radieux... Vae!

Ahhh! Le Café du Rond-Point de Plainpalais qu'il a dû en voir depuis toutes ces années!!!! Lieu emblématique de Plainpalais. Très bien situé avec une terrasse. Peut être sympathique et calme comme bruyant et bondé de monde. Si c'est juste pour boire un verre alors prenez votre temps pendant les heures de pointes.

Personnel très sympa, mais toilettes dans un état de saleté déplorable. Si la saleté des WC ressemble à l’état des cuisines...
