Excellent ice cream but had to pay for the pot and staying at a table for 10 min

Located in Plainpalais and more precisely Place du Cirque, this bistro-restaurant is among the good and old Geneva addresses. Too bad the round tables are too tight and too small to eat comfortably. The food is good and well done. During the midday rush, too many people and too much noise. The welcome is pleasant and the service very correct and warm.

My friends and I ate one evening at Café Remor. The meal was to die for and served by a very attentive manager. Little crush on their grapefruit mojito ;) I highly recommend !

We reserved a Sunday lunch at the Remor café. It was great. Lots of vegetarian choices and not too long a wait for our dishes. We were very satisfied with the dishes which were super good. The decoration is warm and the jellyfish exhibition was surprising. I recommend !

Nice and popular places. Often crowded with not always fast service. Pretty terrace. Very good desserts.

I really like their hamburgers, but I'm disappointed because they asked me 1 franc for a glass of tap water.

The place is old and fascinating but clearly snob. You cannot have those kind of prices while having the carpet floor dirty and all worn out, the curtain at the entrance with holes in it and a sadly old bathroom. Not mentioning the rude staff…

We had a great time in this cafe where everything was very good. Our server of Peruvian origin was attentive to our needs and very kind. The food was excellent. I highly recommend. We will come back with pleasure.

I give 5 stars for one person: the lady who took care of the room service. On a Saturday evening, after a concert at the Victoria Hall, it is 10:30 p.m. and the restaurant is full. We were two. This lady managed more than 50 place settings alone! At no time did we feel she was under stress. She was fast, efficient, smiling and polite. A real lesson because, for her age, she showed more professionalism than 90% of servers who are half her age, and that we should not denigrate seniors who want to work because they will do it with more integrity. Well done ma’am.

Impeccable service: when we arrived early in the evening, there was only one small table still available; a third person was going to join us. The waitress went out of her way to find us a larger table as soon as possible.

A good cafe, with really fun and surprising decor. I had the entrecôte which was delicious. My wife had the salad and spinach quiche which she thought was great. Very friendly, fast service.

One of the last authentic family cafés in Geneva with incredible charm. Careful cuisine at a low price, always surprising temporary decorations, a diverse clientele, a suitable musical selection, in short... a unique, soothing and timeless atmosphere. The service always feels understaffed, but they try very hard to remain friendly and efficient. THANKS!

I came for lunch this afternoon at the café, honestly I advise against it because from the room, I could hear the boss shouting at an employee. Apparently I read in the comments that this is not the first time. This creates a cold atmosphere in the restaurant and it’s damaging. Even for employees it must not be pleasant to have a boss who speaks to them so badly

TO BOYCOT!! The WORST “cafe, restaurant” in Geneva. Doesn't even deserve 1 star. The room manager is very unpleasant, he seems overwhelmed outside the room is half full.. I strongly advise against it!!!

The waiter (“The curly guy”) very welcoming, helpful and friendly. He found us a table even though the restaurant was full. A bit of a wait at the end of our meal, we understand that. I recommend and I will come back. PS: the mango cheesecake was delicious (recommended by the waiter).

My partner and I enjoyed a lovely meal and drinks. Lovely cafe, very busy. Quick service despite how busy it was. Good range of drinks and the food menu was good too. Recommended.

I went in to drink a coffee and was shown to a table by an employee. I considered staying for lunch, but I was asked to leave by another employee who brought me the bill without asking. Speaking in English only at my third request, he said that if I had a reservation for lunch I could stay, otherwise I would have to leave with the space completely empty both inside and on the terrace. There was no reservation sign on any table.

We came to eat last night, despite the crowds we quickly found a table in this café steeped in history, warm welcome, quality service, tasteful traditional cuisine, we had a delicious time, simple and efficient. We will come back.

A... terribly bad experience. Sunday evening: we seat ourselves, we go and get the cards, because no waiter is paying attention to our table at the back of the room. After 20 minutes without a drink we got up to leave. There, our order is finally taken. They move us from the table. You have to get the salt and pepper and a portion of fries is missing. In short, a catastrophic experience when we wanted to relax on a Sunday evening. There were apparently 2 servers missing and the waitress was borderline polite. We will not come back. I spoke with the team, who apologized for the experience. There was a shortage of staff that evening. The manager offered me the glass while taking the time to chat. This place is emblematic in Geneva, I will give it a second chance.

I really like the food at the remor but every time I go there the manager is always yelling at these employees 'employees very smiling welcoming these not the first time I hear him speaking badly to these employees when he doesn't do anything frankly we need a change at the manager level because a lot of rumors about him being disrespectful and rude but at the kitchen level at the top. Well done to the whole very nice team, we want a manager who stops yelling when we eat

Good service . I had a delicious hamburger but unfortunately, the manager was disrespectful to his staff and in front of us we heard him screaming while we ate it. It's very annoying, I don't recommend it.

Historic café in Geneva, I used to go there with my mother when I was little, now I go there with my friends all winter long for a hot chocolate. This cafe will remain in our memory.

One star because you can't do less, I was just passing through, I stopped by for a cooki and a “café macchiato” after 30 minutes I received a cappucino, with a dirty spoon, shame of a local, while a waitress did everything the other sat without no kind of rush, eating, encore and second encore, customers waiting and sitting at dirty tables, I also work in gastronomy, and I tell you ladies, that's not how you work

Bad service only for 2 cups of chocolate 25 mins wait and 3 people served us but the order didn't arrive.

A true Geneva institution, the remor is an unmissable address. Open every day and with a menu that combines the house classics and a seasonal twist; the cuisine is always successful. The team is both highly professional and absolutely lovely. And that’s without counting the very special atmosphere of its terrace which adapts so well to the seasons, from the ice cream and cocktails of summer, to the mulled wine when winter arrives.

One evening I followed some friends who were fond of this place and I wonder why. The clientele is interlopers of all ages, perhaps that's why. But we weren't placed and I found it embarrassing. Finally, a waitress walks by, points at a table and says "sit there"... okay, at your command, chef! After enough time to fall asleep (½ hour) another one comes to take orders... my friends had drinks, salads, croque-monsieur, and other things, nothing crazy. And I, like an idiot, drew the wrong card: Hamburger, because I usually like it. But there: completely carb! these minced meat steaks. I still told the waitress that the burn was very harmful but she only told me that she couldn't do anything about it and to come back when the person in charge was there, which was the next morning. But lazy... too tired to make a fuss so I nibbled a little unburnt but needless to say I was still hungry. Disappointing. And I wasn't thrilled by the atmosphere, which I found banal and noisy. It looked better on the terrace. Despite everything, I do not recommend a place to which I will not return.

I recommend the frozen Vacherin. This one is worth 5 stars.

I arrived and no one came to sit me down.. then after waiting in vain for about 30 minutes for someone to come take my order I I got up to go to the bar ordered... rebelotte... the staff ignored me again... no doubt the food is decent... the welcome and service is pitiful!!

We stopped here for very good and fresh cake (cheesecake with ginger, chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream) and coffee (coffee with milk, cappuccino, both ok). The Service took a while even though there were hardly people and could have been a bit friendlier. The atmosphere outside was all right but the street is quite loud, inside it was cozy.

Love the Remor! You can’t go wrong with this long-standing institution in Geneva. Fantastic service always by the great staff led by Mika, and his team Alex and Jana. Don’t forget to try the famous Tranche du Remor (Vacherin) dessert to die for!

Be careful, very poor service! Very good coffee and products but not really respect or consideration for customers. It is in your interest to come forward to be served and not simply ignored.

I have been going to Remor, the Parisian brasserie on the Place du Cirque, for over 25 years. An institution! The service and quality of food has always been impeccable. For several decades we have come across the same people with whom an exchange of smiles is required. All it took was a new head waiter (Mika) to transform this place into an ordinary bistro where the service is mediocre and the atmosphere hostile, even discriminatory. Save the soul of our brasserie on Place du Cirque!

One of the very few “landmark” places in Geneva with a familiar decor for many years. The café where you feel good all year round, in summer on the terrace in the shade of the trees, in winter inside so warm and when it rains on the covered and protected terrace. Cherry on the cake, the coffee is excellent and the waiter is perfect.

To avoid. Terrible service. Error on the dishes ordered. We had reservations. We arrived at 11:45am. There weren't many people there yet. We were stood in the middle of the room without telling us our table... We were served our burgers at the same time as our aperitif. One of the burgers did not match our order. The burgers in question are not unforgettable.... Etc. In short, it was probably very good in 1921 but it must have changed a lot since then.

Very good aubergine quiche!!! Reasonable price for a work day meal with nice ambience. Staff was ok, a bit overwhelmed and not very attentive. But no problems!! I would and will come back for sure.

Quite a good meal, the homemade bread is delicious. However, the service leaves something to be desired, the table was half set and the waiters were not very pleasant.

The food is good, but if you haven't eaten chees cake, don't say you ate chees cake.

All this homemade by the pastry chef! If you come at midday you can drink a glass of red wine and eat a good homemade hamburger 🍔. Efficient and friendly service

I read about this restaurant in the engime of room 622 (Joel Dicker). And in fact the restoration brought an exceptional atmosphere. Maybe it’s also thanks to the book. Anyway, the daily menu was very good and the hot chocolate really good!
