Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday with 11 of my friends at the Kiosque de Bastions. As soon as we arrived, we were charmed by the welcoming atmosphere of the place. Seated around a large and beautiful round table, the place was perfectly suited to our group, combining conviviality and comfort. The service greatly contributed to making this evening memorable. Our server, Robain, was particularly friendly and attentive, an attention which was greatly appreciated by the whole group. The quality of the meal was exceptional, each of us enjoyed it. Personally, I was particularly seduced by the atmosphere of the restaurant. The perfect balance between ambient music, not too intrusive, and the general sound level allowed you to enjoy pleasant conversations without having to raise your voice. A big thank you to all the restaurant team and thank you Robin for making the birthday dinner so special.

I visited on a Tuesday lunch time. The restaurant itself has a unique look, like a botanical garden in a park. The interior of the building is made of glass and resembles a greenhouse, so you can enjoy the view outside on sunny days. Although it was winter, the sunlight made it feel warm. Local Swiss wines are also available. The ``tataki'' on the menu is pickled tuna garnished with sesame seeds and cooked only on the outside, and it was refreshing and delicious.

The staff were welcoming when we arrived and were attentive. We enjoyed the most delicious cocktails and cakes too.

I had a lamb shank as a dish which was delicious!! Their dessert is also very good

This place is ideal for a little Sunday brunch with your partner. It offers a wide variety of hot dishes, seafood, fresh fruit as well as a chocolate fountain and pastries. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service impeccable. We highly recommend it.

Extremely slow and unfriendly service

Super nice location and nice menu, drinks menu read nice. Saw people eating around us, but we were not really helped. Weren't really friendly. Do you want to have a nice afternoon? Definitely sit somewhere else!

Went for the Sunday brunch. The place is nicely done and the staff very friendly and helpful. The buffet food, however, is not up to expectations and not very tasty, and the fruit juices are not fresh. And at CHF 59 per adult (no alcohol included) and CHF 29 per kid (even charged to our 2 year old), the prices are definitely a bit too high.

Frozen food, excessively long service, nice lamps to be nice! Very disappointing…. I wish I had something good to say. A note for the chef, maybe learn how to defrost food 🤪

I've visited here several times for morning coffee and an afternoon treat accompanied by coffee. The desserts, priced at 14 francs each, are on the expensive side but are a worthwhile indulgence for those looking to treat themselves or their loved ones. While their coffee could use some improvement to make the place even more popular among coffee lovers in Geneva. it still offers a pleasant experience. My dining experiences were limited to before the renovation, so I'm unable to comment on the current food offerings, but the meals I had in the past were delightful. This cafe is located right next to a tourist attraction. Everything from coffee to food is provided, and the interior is pretty. I wish they put a little more effort into the coffee flavor. We bring dessert from a famous bakery. Expensive but delicious. It's a good place to go to a high-ranking company. It's a good place for a good worker, it's a good place to go.

This place is truly magnificent for lunch on the terrace. I highly recommend the daily specials and desserts.

To start on a positive note, the restaurant is very beautiful and the atmosphere is amazing. Apart from that, I can hardly say anything positive. The service was horribly slow - we waited for more than 1 hour to get our food and the restaurant wasn't even full. The food itself was tasty but the portions were small. And it was quite expensive, even by Geneva standards.

I do not recommend it, they treat people bad and discriminate because of what you wear. I invited 2 friends who got married. One of them wasn’t feeling so well, thus she came later dressing a relaxed outfit. They were very rude and didn’t let her in. Here they are elitist, arrogant and discriminate against people. I was with a group of friends celebrating the wedding of two friends. One of them came later because she wasn't feeling well and she was wearing leggings and sneakers and they wouldn't let her in.

Friendly and convenient location. Long queue at the start of service and staff not very available, except for hot dishes. Fairly average quality of food for the price.

Magnificent restaurant with a city atmosphere. I love this place. The restaurant offers refined cuisine with flavors combined with quality products. Favorite for the cauliflower velouté with white chocolate and tonka bean❤ Thanks to Luca for top service

My partner and I went to lunch here and were very well surprised because they offered us the place which seemed the best one to sit there: on a mezzanine with sort of a three-sided window area of the restaurant. Great start. Well sit we ordered two starters and two main dishes. My partner started with a 3 coloured carrot salad that we used to do at home when we didn't have anything but carrots for salad: a poor but rather healthy and nice choice. It was OK. I had a veluté of cauliflower with white chocolate that was more a kind of dessert than a starter to a meal, if you know what I mean, but it was not bad. Then we had a burger of the house and a boeuf steak tartar that were good although not tasty if you think of spices or even salt that they completely lacked of. But it was OK for CHF 125, if you think that we ate all this with just water. We stayed in the restaurant for more than two hours, and felt that they didn't keep the room temperature warm, because we were feeling a bit cold during all the time we were there. But it was OK too, we could wear some collars and hats, like some other clients were doing. The only thing that was NOT OK, was the smell of food we left the premises with. All over our clothes there was this stink of a person who has worked in a kitchen place. People who are friends to cooks and chefs will understand what I mean. If you don't have a nice working system to take the smell of the food being cooked outside your place this will be the result. So we do not recommend this restaurant at all if you are sensitive to bad smell on your clothes. To close this comment with a sample type of bad humour some women worked there, I must tell you this. When we were leaving the restaurant we asked the manager if she knew the schedule for the Escalade (a historical event going on in the city on that weekend we were there) to which I was answered by someone who might be the assistant of the manager or the director of the place: "you should ask the information point about this because we don't hold this type of information here". I leave this last comment for you to judge.

The staff was very nice to us even though they were clearly in a rush to serve all the people. When we went, it was completely packed and it was already the end of the food service so there's clearly a draw to this place. The nice placement of the restaurant at the entrance of the park in front of people playing chess helps with this I think. The little attention and flair in the food makes it even better. Give this a shot if you are nearby and try a Guillaume Bichet dessert while you're here.

Unfortunately the service is very variable in terms of quality and very slow each time. Too bad because the food is good and the setting is nice.

Parc de Bastions has gorgeous view for all seasons. I’ve been a huge fan of Kiosque des Bastions. The service used to be very good even during Covid period. Staff are attentive and kind. However, these days, especially outdoor dining, nobody serves. Waited 30 minutes and asked them three times to take the order, it was very embarrassing especially when you recommend and invite friends to here. Truly disappointed

Wonderful place to have a drink outside. Very friendly and attentive service. Fine drinks - from Chinotto to Hugo to KirRoyale - they leave nothing to be desired.

extremely weird policy about spending money there during certain times of the day, I was refused to get any drinks because "we have too much to do",. even though more than half the place was empty. Makes me feel sick, this is basically what happens when you follow degen orders from bosses who forgot the actual purpose of a business like this and completely lost connection with the notion of being 'hospitable'.

We were seated by a waiter who couldn’t look up from his phone enough to acknowledge our existence. He then stood outside with his phone in his hands for 10 minutes before he started clearing some tables. He went inside and we didn’t see him for 20 minutes before we decided to just leave. He didn’t even bring a menu! Mind you, the place was practically empty. Anyway, was looking forward to trying this place, but due to horrible horrible service, had to leave without ordering. Do better.

Following our professional meeting for the day, we went to refresh ourselves at the Kiosque des bastions, where the fast and pleasant service was particularly pleasant, and the generously portioned ice creams were excellent.

The setting in summer is magnificent. The servers were all super friendly and helpful. Perfect food and prices that match the quality.

Came once for lunch and once for dinner. Magnificent restaurant. The food is excellent and the staff friendly. However, each time the wait is really long to receive the dishes… We will definitely come back but allow more time, especially for lunch.

This is my third time going to the restaurant, though the first this year. I was hosting friends from the UK with their two children. In short, the food was good but the staff was disengaged and absent. It took almost 30 min for us to get our order taken, this was a late lunch and the restaurant was barely half full. No one came to check in, remove the dishes, or offer coffee or desserts until I walked into the restaurant to complain. It's a shame, the food was really nice. I won't be going there again.

A brunch to make again and again without moderation!!! Cordial welcome and impeccable, efficient and friendly service. The place is superb, like these old botanical garden greenhouses. It feels like the 19th century. 🤩. As for the brunch, it is incredible. Very large choice from breakfast to lunch and from sweet to savory. Good quality products. 1 hot drink, juice and water included. Unbeatable value for money. Go there to have a good time!

The setting is nice. We sat down for a cocktail. The terrace was far from full. No one ever came to take our order. Other people were in the same situation and left. We finally left too. Damage. The waiters talk among themselves behind the bar. Thanks for the experience, I saved 17.-

More than half of the tables empty and they didn't let us have coffee. - “At midday we do not serve coffee.” - “it’s 1 p.m..” - “You can go elsewhere” - “Thank you for allowing us to go elsewhere.” And that’s what we did and what I invite you to do. Avoid this place, go elsewhere.

We came last night 07/30/2023 (4 people) and what a nice surprise. Not only well received, installed outside and with an aperitif to start. Very well made menu and we were all delighted with the dishes we tasted. Conclusion, we are returning this evening to discover this new place with the greatest pleasure.

When ordering coffee, the lady, not very politely, points to a kiosk a few dozen meters away that sells takeaway coffee. Failure.

Came on a Sunday for brunch with friends, we were very well received. The service was very friendly, efficient and friendly (Camille). In terms of food, the choice is quite wide and plentiful, however it quickly becomes jammed. We had a great time. I recommend the place which changes from the lazy side it had a few years ago.

The food was good, the outside seating was OK because the inside was closed. We had to be seated outside, but there are so many people smoking you can’t not really enjoy your food. And I wish the inside was open because it was very hot sitting outside, we went for dinner.

Says closing time is at 2 am on Friday but bar stops serving at 11 pm

A very warm welcome to Switzerland in this restaurant. Everything was there, from the welcome to the plate, without forgetting the service. Special Mention For Louis without whom our experience would not have had the same meaning. If you are passing through Geneva, stop at the Kiosque des Bastions, a good evening guaranteed.

Service close to nothing as no presence is visible among the servers….1/4 of the tables occupied….25 minutes for a server to show up then 20 minutes to serve you a cold tea… in short A little enthusiasm perhaps 🤔 to acquire

We went for a Saturday lunch on a beautiful sunny day where only the patio was open. It’s a lovely place to sit and definitely walk around inside as it’s a beautiful building with lovely architecture. The menu was entirely seafood (mostly raw). We ordered the salmon sashimi and cooked fish off the day. The food was good, not great - the prices were a bit high all things considered.

The brunch is just incredible, for only 50 CHF there is lots of diversity in the dishes that are homemade, in a magnificent place with a great terrace and above all a great waitress, Camille. We came back largely for the service which is simply perfect! THANKS !!

Nice place. Beautiful setting. Just sat and enjoyed a beer at the park. However, service is horrible. Waited 15 mins before I had to call someone over because they kept ignoring me. Bad service ruins your entire experience. Maybe next time it will be more pleasant.

“Trofie with pesto rosso, burrata stracciatella, roasted almonds” ... in real life: lukewarm pasta with a vague red color and very little taste. A tablespoon of burrata, a few crumbled (toasted?) almonds, topped with ONE basil leaf... fortunately, the place is magical.

I absolutely do not recommend! It's too long. The service only takes care of the dining tables (it's not the best service either, I had enough time to observe) but difficult to drink a cocktail. I stayed for 15 minutes and had to ask for the card, I was another 20 minutes and no one came. 👎🏾

We were being ignored from the minute we came. After i went to the bar and directly asked if someone could take our order, it was ok. For the price range, as a customer, i deserve way better! Or be treated as others, at least. What else i can say... I'm disappointed 😞 .

Hello tourist trap The waitress told us I don't have change for 20.-. Then after taking a syrup at 3. - by chance she has change. In short, unpleasant staff, and only with us. Beautiful day elsewhere than at this establishment.
