Café Restaurant La Rotonde in Lausanne

The kitchen has deteriorated significantly since the change of owner/cook... The portion of plain rösti has become ridiculous and a little pitiful (see photo)

I have known the Rotonde since 1950 and still very well!!!!

Super welcoming staff, fresh dishes and tasty flavors. We went to eat there and had the cheeseburger. It was perfectly cooked, the bread homemade with a classic presentation, this small restaurant is one of the only ones where the meat is truly fresh straight out of the mouth and is felt in the mouth. Very happy with this restaurant!

I had two breakfasts there. (Coffee + Nutella toast) The waitress, smiling and fast; there are newspapers and wifi. And the price is very fair. I recommend.

The sommelier is very, very friendly, excellent service, fast and well served; a breakfast with 2 large toasts, butter, and jam/hot drink of your choice for only sfr5.-! Like "old-fashioned" and always in a good mood... Bravo!

I had an appointment there and I just took a pressure. So my opinion is not that relevant. But hey I wouldn't go there for more than that. The service was good so that's the main thing for me.

5 stars for the quality of the lunch meals. It's delicious as can be 5 stars for service: fast, efficient, smiling 4 stars for the place because it's very cafe-like (it's advertised as such) and it deserves to be a little more restaurant-like.
