Delicious coffee and extremely nice people. You won't regret trying coffee here

It’s takeaway only (as the name states) but don’t let that stop you because you can head down to the water or find a place to relax and enjoy. They take their coffee seriously, keep a couple high quality options and don’t let anything else distract them. I enjoyed every cup and next time I’m in Zurich I’ll stop by.

Very good doppio espresso without milk and sugar, which I always like. For me the Classic Italian at a good price. Those who prefer alternatives to cow's milk are catered for. Not accessible by wheelchair on the Leonhardstaircase.

Superb cappuccino. Was wondering around Zurich and wanted a quick pick me up. Saw this place, ordered and mind was blown. There’s a non diary option but I love my diary milk. Highly recommend

One of the best coffees in Zürich. Very charming and has a cool vibe. They have different roasts and quite good selection of coffees. The baristas are consistent with delivering excellent quality. Every single time, my cappuccino turns out very smooth and well balanced with fruity notes.

Have been searching for a solid flat white in Zurich for ages, and I finally found it! Ordered the flat white with the Italian roast - it was rich, earthy and the perfect density. And the milk here didn't taste as intense as most other places. Highly recommend!

A real gem. This is my favorite café in Zurich. Baristas are committed to preparing the best coffee. Great beans and quality milk. There are three options for the beans, all third wave, and the “dark roast” is a great option for those who prefer something closer to a traditional Italian coffee (read “an exceptionally good Italian coffee”). Both baristas are excellent but my preference goes to the (weekday) barista who heats the milk a little less and hence has a slightly sweeter taste that matches my definition of a perfect flat white.

Really nice coffee place, with some contemporary and fruity options. I don't remember a month where I didn't absolutely love the monthly special. I also don't know many other places that extract their espressos so well and balancedly, and bring out the fruity/floral notes so well and enjoyably

Chic spot in Zurich. Had the flat white and a cappuccino with oat milk and didn’t disappoint. The coffee is excellent quality and service is fast. Tucked away in a cute corner of a staircase in downtown.

It doesn't take much to offer the best coffee in Zurich: a small space, one counter, three roasts. For me the reason to make a pilgrimage to Leonhardstreppe after lunch to drink a Flatwhite with oat milk. Yummy! The only way to top it is with a coffee biscuit - that's an essential part of a coffee, but unfortunately it's not yet available at Leonhardstreppe - and oat milk doesn't cost extra. Then I would give it a 6th star.

Since I currently work nearby, I visit the café several times a week. The barista is extremely friendly and in my opinion he makes the best coffee in Zurich.

Here I had probably the best Espresso of my life so far. I had the "italian roast" beans, and the crema as well as the taste were just amazing! The "contemporary roast" beans are organic, but not sure if the "italian roast" beans are also organic (which I would really prefer), or 'just' fairtrade. The service was friendly as well! Great work, keep it up! I am definitely coming back!

I really like my cappuccinos and finding places that serve them well is hard, let alone great. This place does them great, and I'm glad I found it. It's my goto place whenever I'm in the area and better than both ViCAFE and Jung, to be honest.

Tucked away on the steps up from HB to ETH. Perfect to stop in on the way to work no matter which direction you’re going (up or down). The coffee is excellent.

The place to be to top off your lunch break with an excellent coffee on the stairs. The barista is super nice and humorous and even inspires those who refuse caffeine with his enthusiasm for good coffee :) After just a week at ETH, the store had already won us regular customers.

Full disclosure. This is my friend's new coffee bar. He gets the beans from my favorite specificalty roaster Miró - where I did my barista certificate - and the classic Henauer. Love the interior design - a class of it's own. Only the big Swiss Banks can match that level of sophistication. 😋
