I didn't know that they have take away. And I was really happy I had a take away ice cream . The vanilla ice cream for the price is little a bit high for take away (thats Gstaad I suppose ..) , but is the best I have tried at the moment and value for money. The blond waitress I don't remember her name at Saturday night very professional ,very quick service and proposes other flavours with a real warm smile. Defentely you will see me in the future.

Hiring service staff in German-speaking Switzerland who don't speak a word of German is absolutely wrong. I don't want to have to order in English in a restaurant in Gstaad. At least one of the national languages ​​would be great. But here they only seem to speak English and Spanish.

The service is really too slow. And what's more, they forgot to serve us one drink out of two... It's disappointing.

I travel alone all over Switzerland and regularly I'm in Gstaad and enjoy a few glasses of red wine. Always I find the staff friendly ,fun and respectful . Especially the barman whom I believe worked in Strassburg. I find I relax there , that is a compliment from me.

Good for a casual meal in pleasant surroundings, facing the Main Street. My avocado with shrimps was tasty though a little less substantial than I expected for the price, but this is Gstaad. Service was correct and fast. Didn’t encounter any of the issues some other reviewers reported.

after eating them I felt sick for two days, I couldn’t get out of bed! The weekend was ruined !!!!! I have never seen such very unfriendly waiters in Switzerland!!

Best coffee in Gstaad and super fine food 😍

The Location was invintingly decorated, but the Food was not so good as i hoped. The Service was also not the best. Price and Performance were not consistant.

A nice place to have a coffee or eat, in the middle of the main street of Gstaad The staff is quite friendly, depending on what time or what dates (such as the Christmas period) it can be packed to the brim, but there are different environments, dining rooms, outdoor terraces, open and closed with heating The price is reasonable considering the location.

As an Italian (traveller, respectful), three proseccos (30 francs), 1 cola, 1 fanta (20 francs), midday, served 15 minutes after arrival and only after calling the waiter, upon request for an appetizer to accompany the meal aperitif, this was the solution. Spend the money however you want, but spend it well! The place would be splendid!

The wait staff was unfriendly and the waiting time was long. The food was solid.

So, you don't have to go here for food.

Treating customers with the worst attitude, not worth it at all

I waited with my wife and child for 10 minutes at the door, and behind us there were 10 other people who were waiting to drink coffee, which of course they didn't drink because they went back and looked for another place. The waitress who met us at the door told us to wait while he served the other guests, and the bar was almost empty. I would not recommend it to anyone because the first impression is disastrous.

Very nice atmosphere in the winter garden and restaurant. Unfortunately, we only consumed an aperitif and can therefore not report on the food. Service is also very friendly and attentive.

I just learned that chocolate is delicious. It's at this shop. And the atmosphere is very good. Even in the bathroom It can be decorated beautifully.

A nice cafe. It has almost everything, snacks, coffee, and cold drinks. Its location is excellent, and there are simple games for children next to it. The service is excellent. They are helpful and cheerful, and there is a bathroom on the ground floor.

Nice location, but the service is subpar. You have the feeling of not being wanted. The blonde, short-haired waitress didn't even look at us and seemed very arrogant.

Thank you for the efforts of the crew, especially the brown-haired girl and the Argentine hero, for their wonderful service due to the lack of workers in the restaurant, so the person responsible should take this into account. The yellow-haired girl is very, very bad and does not cooperate with her friends or with the visitors of the restaurant.

There is one star for the excellent location. But that's the only positive thing about this restaurant. The waitress is apparently unable to say a simple “Hello”. She was especially unable to accept the entire order. The iced coffee for around 12.- consisted of a simple two scoops (nota bene: a Margherita pizza is on sale for 30.-, although after consuming the iced coffee its quality must be seriously questioned). Overall, the innkeeper - in the spirit of maximizing profits and enhancing the dining experience for his guests - should consider replacing his staff with metal menu holders, or better yet, limit his business to renting the chairs and allowing guests to have food and drink bring yourself.

Waiter was rude, too many flies all over, food quality is okay but extremely overpriced for the quantity. Sometimes it smelled kind of off. The only good thing was how esthetic the bathroom was, that's it.

I had high hopes for this place, yet the bad service unfortunately put it all down. + Location: Great, can't complain. + Decor/ design: Nice too, appealing and inviting at a first glance for people passing by. + Food & beverages: I got fresh orange juice and a cheese cake, they were good (but they are nothing hard to make though). - Service: Horrible service, the majority of the staff aren't experienced at all (I dealt with 3 different waiters). (I always encourage and support part time workers who are trying to make a living, but if they don't like what they do or they do it badly in a way that negatively affect the reputation of the place then I believe that they should't do this job and can find another one which the are more passionate about). A part of my order was forgotten (I was alone and only ordered Juice, water and a slice of cheesecake, so no big deal). I had to actually remind another waiter to bring me the rest of my order, which can put you off mood in a way. Eventually, when I decided to leave and ordered the check, it took them SO LONG to bring it that at the end I had to enter inside and actually ask to pay at the cashier because they forgot about me (the inside seating area had only two tables busy or so, which means no pressure on the staff what so ever). *** I have to give some credit to one one the three waiters who served me, I didn't get her name, but she did her best to solve the problems of her other two incompetent colleagues. She also apologised for forgetting about bringing the check with no valid reason. But unfortunately a negative impression towards this place was taken along with a decision not to visit again, which is what I explicitly informed her of before I left. ** Date of visit: 8th of August 2023, around 19:00h.

Staff not very friendly had to wait more than 10 minutes until we could order

Great food but inexperienced waiters. They don’t speak any german of french which is inconsistent with the location. The music can be easily considered as annoying and it is played very loud. The waiters often don’t understand what we are asking for, maybe due to the volume of the music. I felt uncomfortable all along the lunch.

Magnificent restaurant, luxury toilets, ok service. On the other hand, the Spritz at fr. 18.-- still stuck in my throat! Fortunately, some other restaurants in Gstaad still practice correct prices.

I recently visited Cappuccino in Gstaad with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfying. While the location might seem appealing, the overall experience was disheartening. If you're looking for a nice place in the area, there are many other wonderful options such as Early Beck! Poor service! I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk, they brought me one with regular milk. Told the waiter that they made a mistake, he took it back, few minutes later he bring me again with regular milk ( probably the same that he took back). Whithout any shame they asked to pay.. it’s very sad because the location is very nice. I highly recommend to avoid this place

The staff is unfriendly at all especially the lady with short blonde hair, she treats the customer as if they come to drink their coffee for free 👎🏻👎🏻 she even treats the locals the same way she is very rude . Otherwise the coffee is good and the crepes is ok .

Their food is international and suits all tastes and tastes normal (try it again) There is a mistake, they give you the main course, then the salads They give you forks without plates I noticed it on all the tables There is an employee with curly hair. I went for lunch today & its really pricy but I liked the beef burger 8/10 , cappuccino was 3/10 , pasts was 6/10 , carrot cake was 6/10. Half of staff were rude & unwelcoming however they became nicer by time

Pray to god when you are going to Cappuccino Grand Cafe in Gstaad that the waiter Joaquin is not there, the most racist person you will sea at 1000 meters above sea level. Were he will judge you on the way you look and where you are from. He will do his best to ruin your day, if you were in the line he will skip you and take other group behind you, if complain he would say (if you don't like what i did go somewhere else). Now I know why the cafe rated 3.7 out 5 on google.

Extraordinary place and excellent service from the Spanish

4 experiences in this restaurant in 8 months: pretty interior and exterior settings but exorbitant prices for the quality of the dishes (there is a choice but it is not worth such prices) and above all very bad and long service. Only young people who only speak English (and even then.... don't understand the difference between tea and ice tea??). I once ordered 45 minutes in advance to get a takeaway dish on the train and they were not able to prepare the dish for me in time even though there were 5 customers in total. Pitiful

Service and staff: horrible! Unfriendly and rude. The Portuguese or Spanish girl on the terrace yesterday should be fired! Didn’t greet, forgot our order ( we were 5, not 500 people), beverages were wrong and honestly average. I was attracted by the pretty location, I’ll never go again in such a place. Avoid it! In Gstaad there are many nice places such as Early Beck!!!

To flee..... A piece of advice from friends: RUN AWAY..... Deplorable welcome, unfriendly staff for 2 cents, exorbitant prices a real tourist trap. I had an iced coffee and it's the first time I've seen this: just 2 small scoops of mocca ice cream without espresso and without whipped cream??? Never seen before..... All this for 11 fr 60, 2 scoops of ice cream are expensive. In addition, the service is slow, we were in a hurry to get back on the train and I did not have time to check the return of my change and I noticed that 3 francs were missing. Lamentable. It would be nice to have the response from the owner of this establishment once in order to respond to the multiple criticisms expressed by his customers...

Excellent cafe in the heart of Gstaad, attractive breakfast selection and cafe selection . Poached eggs with avocado on toast is a must try. A good place to relax and admire the beauty of Gstaad.
