Came highly recommended from our concierge (stayed at Chateau Gütsch). The entire experience was fantastic. The restaurant and atmosphere are very welcoming, the family who runs it all at various times talked with us and welcomed us and were so nice and helpful. We decided to go all with recommendations from one of the brothers - starter sampler, uovo della nonna, agnolotti, braised beef, and dessert sampler. They also brought us a pumpkin soufflé w truffle (?) that wasn’t on the menu. I would have eaten it all again right after dinner. The food is fantastic. We ordered a cab franc from a vineyard which was run by a friend of the family, which was top notch. We felt like a family member and had the best meal of our trip. Can’t recommend highly enough!!

Casa Tolone offers a variety of Italian specialties and is not a pizzeria. We spent a very nice evening here for the four of us in a relaxed atmosphere. The beef fillet stroganoff prepared at the table is excellent. The landlord supported us very professionally when looking for a suitable wine from the large wine list. We'd love to come back.

We ordered steak with mushroom sauce, vegetables, and grilled potatoes, and we ordered pasta with egg sauce and chicken, and as an appetizer, Italian bread with tomatoes. This is the second time we've been to the restaurant. We've been there twice for lunch, the time before we ordered extra pizza and appetizers made from eggplant. In the winter, I mostly stay indoors, but in the summer, it's nice to stay outside and have parking The food is very delicious and fresh, all orders are excellent, and the service is excellent. I highly recommend it. The price is high, the same as almost every restaurant at this level

This is a delicious restaurant that I found by chance. I had seafood pasta and pizza made with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, and it was super delicious. This is the Italian restaurant of your life! Highly recommended!

Casa Tolone, my first impression, rustic and homely. Mi sono subito sentita a casa in Italia🇮🇹 It was very busy, but the junior manager was still able to remember the entire order in his head, (with a table of 8) respect. The wine advice was excellent and the food was excellent. Modern Mediterranean dishes. Be sure to try “le Cozze” (mussels) as a culinary delight.👌🤗

Celebrated my daughter's birthday today. The reception was extremely friendly, the staff very accommodating. Two people shared a pizza and that was easily possible. I had already found out in other places that this was a problem. The pizza was very good and everything seemed to be made with love. That's how it has to be. Although the restaurant was very busy, our food came quickly. I can only recommend the restaurant.

It is hard to find good restaurants in Luzern; Casa Tolone is exceptionally great. I had the pleasure of dining at Casa Tolone recently, and all I can say is that the meals served are as great, if not better, than the fist time I came to Casa Tolone 17 years ago. The reason why their meals are consistently great is because of the immense care given by the Tolone family in running their restaurant. From the quality of fresh vegetables/fruits/meats to the attention given to their guests, Chefs Dario and Domenico are always involved because they care. 17 years ago they greeted us at the door and 17 years later they still greeted us with the same warm family welcome. 17 years ago they explained the preparation behind their meals and 17 years later they still explained why we should go for the tomato-based dish and why their homemade chili is the best in the city. You can always find good restaurants anywhere in the world, but Casa Tolone is special not only because “the food is great”, but because “they care”.

It is a family business where you can eat very tasty food. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff is friendly. I will gladly come again.

I'm not sure I have words that will do this place justice. Visiting Casa Tolone was like being invited into an old friend's home. Maybe it's because their customers are mostly returning for another meal. Maybe it's because the food is absolutely magical. Maybe it's because Domenico and Dario Tolone put so much heart into what they do that you can't help but feel like part of the family. Whatever the reason, eating here is like being let in on a local secret. On our last day in Lucerne we stopped here for lunch. It was so good we returned for dinner. If you love Italy and want to feel like you're there again, or even if you're just looking for a delicious meal in a beautiful place, don't miss Casa Tolone. Thanks guys for being one of our best experiences in Lucerne.

Great customer service and food, not easy to find these days in Switzerland. Everything we ordered was perfect! Fresh bread and pasta, good meat and fish, on top of that you have an excellent selection of wines. Just ask for help and guidance, the Tolone family will take care of your needs, we will definitely be back! Summer tip: A great outdoor patio for the summer!

After we were seated in the lower part of the restaurant, nothing happened for 10 minutes. Afterwards someone brought a menu. And explained the current offer. Asparagus with morel sauce or gratinated with grated cheese. We each order a portion and explain that we would like to consult the menu for the main course. We decide on the entrecote double. Then the long wait... 40 minutes for the starter. Apart from being very expensive, simply not good. After another 40 minutes the entrecote. The side table is prepared for carving. The plates are then served ready-made... no salt, no pepper, nothing at all on the table. It costs almost nothing. 2 x 60.-- ???? Plus a bottle of Primitivo. Great disappointment and 250.-- less in our wallet, we arrange for the restaurant to be opened. Nobody said goodbye either. Sorry, but not like that.

Yesterday I was there again for a long time and had the linguine tutto mare. I found it very, very tasty. We felt very comfortable and in good hands. Everything is very authentically Italian. It was a great fit. Gladly again.

Restaurant very full and at least for me, clearly too loud. The food was good to very good, but for me it was definitely too expensive. Service tried the best given the challenging circumstances and made an effort, but the wait was still long. The bottom line: really good cuisine, portions that are a bit too small (for the high price), the price is too high, waiting times are too long and (subjectively) the atmosphere is too loud in a crowded room. A pity.

The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Furthermore, the people who work at this restaurant are extremely helpful. At the end of our meal it started to rain heavily and we were given 2 complimentary umbrellas so we could go home. Best restaurant experience yet. I recommend

A traditional family business. We received a very warm welcome. The atmosphere is very homely and the tables are arranged with plenty of space. You can feel the passion here - even dad Tolone still works with full enthusiasm in the service. The quality of the food was great. Great advice when ordering whether food or drink. We tried everything from pizza, pasta, fish and meat and we can only say high praise - our stomachs were full and we were happy and satisfied with this fine food. We definitely want to visit again in the summer to be pampered in the beautifully green garden. THANK YOU Tolone family for the wonderful evening.

Italian cuisine with an international touch of the highest quality and, when prepared at the table by the chef, is not only a culinary delight, but also a visual event. Parking spaces at Bergstrasse 10, at Ammann's customer parking spaces, outside office hours, are 5 minutes away from the restaurant via a connecting staircase. Coziness and leisure for something special come together here.

Great warm, truly homely atmosphere! The sea bass with vegetables was huge and just incredible. And the fennel salad was unusually savory. The staff is beyond praise. In Casa Tolone you feel at home! Definitely recommend!

Big gastronomic disappointment :( Came with the fiance for dinner, at first there was a little confusion with the table, although we called and booked. Nevertheless, we remained in good spirits. We had 1 hour and 40 minutes to spare before leaving the table. After ordering we were brought a salad and wine. In principle, this is the only thing that was worthy in the order, only for this I put "3" and not "2". After the salads we waited almost an hour. We reminded the waitress about our order, and by her reaction it was clear that they simply forgot about us 😧 Further, the waitress says that we will immediately bring food. Then we wait for more than ten minutes. The meat was very dry, surprisingly dry, and the potatoes tasteless. To be honest, I have only tasted food of this level in a cafe with burgers and fast food. We inquired about dessert and were told we had to vacate a table (the main course arrived late, but that turned out to be our problem). The saddest thing was that no one asked if we liked everything - neither the waiter, nor the person who served the food and cleaned the dishes. Therefore, unfortunately, my review will be here, and not in words to the employees of the "restaurant".

My favourit Italian restaurant in Lucerne. Nice during all seasons. Never had a bad meal/dish there. Extra tasty Chilli powder from down south, addictive :)

The service staff gave us the daily menu as if it were straight out of the box. So that in the end you had no idea what she said. She could have saved herself that if she had asked first if we already knew what we wanted to eat. The food wasn't bad. I think for what you pay, it should be much better and, above all, more.

We had a culinary sensational evening. From Vitello Tonato to fresh mussels to a sensational tiramisu, “almost” everything was there. We are already looking forward to the next time! The price is certainly higher, but the quality was A1.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Price performance is not right. 6 bites of antipasti for Fr 22.- and a salad with 4 prawns, a few cherry tomatoes and avocado for 39.-!!!!! Spaghetti was oversalted and overcooked. We had to wait almost 1 hour between the starter and the main course. However, the wine recommendation was very good.

Everything is very fine. Service always friendly. One small thing for improvement - recommendations are generally made without prices and you always have to ask.

Highly recommend Stroganoff with spaghetti (Angus fillet cubes), Casa Tolone starter variation and grandma tomato eggs.

From 4 to 5 stars, which I usually never give, but the stroganoff is exceptional. Likewise the carpaccio with truffles. The cherry on the cake is the stunning and competent support and service. It doesn't actually get any better.

My family met a nice person at Schilthorn, who recommended that we go here for dinner while we were in Luzern. We are so happy that we followed his advice. The dinner and ambience were amazing. We were served by the youngest brother, who treated us very well. My younger son had their house pizza, which he declared was the best pizza he ever had (and he's had plenty!). My older son had the pasta with truffles. Amazing! I had the frutto mare, and added some spice powder as recommended by another brother. Amazing as well. My wife also enjoyed her dinner. We also split various appetizers, which all were perfectly done. Their white wine from their own vineyard were a super complement for a summer night as well. I want to thank the nameless nice person at Schilthorn who recommended the place. One day, I'll find out who you were. Thanks! I understand from the younger brother that you a frequent guest, and we'll make sure we visit every time we are in town. Thanks also for all the other advice you provided! Thanks to all!

We reserved a table for Saturday evening without success but got a small table. But we found out that we weren't very welcome by the staff. We decided to go back after the appero. We definitely won't be eating there again.

Celebrated our CAS here on Friday evening in a large group. Got the room at the back with a balcony. It was really great, especially since the weather was nice and we were able to move around a bit. At the beginning the team needed a bit of a start; the start time at 6 p.m. was probably unusual. It was a long time before the aperitif was served. If we had made a reservation in advance, an organized welcome would have been nice. The brilliant food made up for it. We ate very well, the plates were all wonderfully prepared and tasted excellent.

Overall it's great. But it was too expensive (t bone steak 70.00 francs) and didn't have enough side dishes. Because the risotto was great, I would have liked to have had more of it. The food is very tasty, the atmosphere is great, and the hospitality is fine and friendly. Waited a little long until the food came.

Well attended Italian restaurant, there was so much to do that evening that we had to wait a long time for service and food. At least 1 hour between courses. The food tasted good, the waiter could have been more accommodating. Koch was in a good mood.

“Good wine is not afraid of the alley” The location of the restaurant is rather remote, but it is definitely worth trying. I recommend it to all my friends who are coming to Lucerne for the first time. The owner and the waiters are very friendly, attentive and nice. The owner cooked for us personally and the beef was just the right texture, the soup had a great aftertaste, and the homemade noodles are delicious. Of course the fish just caught from Lake Lucerne was also very tasty and the desserts are highly recommended. Everything is fantastic! Five stars! Good wine is not afraid of deep alleys The restaurant is in a remote location, but it's definitely worth trying. I recommend it to anyone coming to Lucerne for the first time. The boss and waiters are very friendly and considerate. The boss personally cooked for us. The beef had just the right texture, the soup had an endless aftertaste, and the noodles they made themselves were all delicious. Of course, the fish just caught from Lake Lucerne is also very delicious, and the desserts are also highly recommended. Five-star praise!

Negative experience. Pizza burnt at the edges. I ask for dessert, ice cream with strawberries. The strawberries arrive with green sepals and the peduncle (the green part of the fruit), immersed in ice cream. I politely and without arguing ask for a knife to remove it. The owner very arrogantly points out to me that the green strawberry dipped in the ice cream is a decoration. I reply to him that normally in Italy no one eats the stalk. As an answer I get: we make 1000 a day and no one says anything... and then here we are in Switzerland and not in Italy. Normally, throughout Europe, if I ask for strawberries with ice cream, strawberries with cream or simply a fruit salad, the fruit arrives clean, cut in half and without the green stalk. This lack of respect towards the customer made me permanently distance myself from this restaurant. I also recommend every now and then dusting the empty wine bottles left on the windows as an aesthetic decoration, as decoration dust has nothing to do with it. And furthermore, washing the windows would aesthetically enrich the interior of the room.

Wow, what a two-class society at Casa Tolone. As non-regulars, we were lucky that we were served at all. During our entire stay we were never asked if we would like anything else, let alone noticed. We don't need a lot of attention, but the service should at least be there. The regular guests were served and looked after by several employees. I give two stars because of the food. The food was ok, but not overwhelming. I would expect more from a top Italian. We certainly won't be regular guests at Casa Tolone. There are other good Italians in Central Switzerland where the hospitality and the food are right.

Pleasant atmosphere, it's quiet on the terrace and you can enjoy the evening. Delicious house white wine, fruity-sweet fresh. Certainly not the place for a cheap evening but the quality of the food was top. Seafood pasta was great.

For me, Casa Tolone is the best Italian restaurant in the city of Lucerne. The food is carefully prepared, the wine list is put together with great expertise and the service is always very friendly.

Food good, service inadequate across the board: Last Saturday at least 1 hour passed between ordering and serving the good food for 4 people. A beer was only served after about 20 minutes. And while we endure all these delays, only half of the wait staff are serving, the other half are providing special service to VIP guests. All in all: Unfortunately, this restaurant is not recommended, even if the food is good.

Wir waren heute am Muttertag in diesem Restaurant. Der Besuch war enttäuschend... Vorspeise lächerlich für “Antipasti della casa Tolone” CHF 21.50 - im Teller so gut wie nichts. Über 1h 30 Min Wartezeit zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgang. Wir mussten 2mal nachfragen wann das Essen kommt. Chaotischer Service. Auf der Rechnung war eine Weinflasche die wir nicht bestellt hatten. Einzige positive - die Pasta war sehr gut.
