Very nice cosy restaurant not far from Luzern city center. The lunch menu is at a very competitive price. The quality is good. Very friendly staff. Absolutely recommended.

We had the great pleasure of being hosted at Moosmatt last night. From the reception to the farewell, everything was really right and you could tell how much passion goes into the work here. This restaurant is a real treasure and we are already looking forward to the next time.

Very warmly run restaurant with very good cuisine. Fine wine list and highly recommended desserts. The service was amazing, friendly and accommodating, we felt like we were on the terrace on our own. The starters were again to die for, the main courses were very individual and finely prepared.

Nice place to eat in Lucerne with a selection of non alcoholic substitutes.

We ate very well and were served very friendly... the menu is clear, but choosing the menu wasn't made easy for us... it took a while to choose because of the interesting combinations.

The food was delicious, prices are relatively high. At the end of September there was still the summer menu - I actually felt like something autumnal...

This place is more différent from the other restaurant downtown lucern where its touristy. The half chicken was very good and the beef tartare is good...and the fries are really good as well. The service is à 5 star .very attentive and accomodatingly friendly. A.very nice place with à cozy outdoor terrasse and féw tables with canopy just in case weather changés.

The ambience on the terrace was very nice, the food was delicious and our waiter was very nice.

The risotto we ordered with gorgonzola and fried rack of lamb falls into the tourist food category. The risotto doesn't deserve its name. Truly the worst I've ever eaten. The lamb loin strips are breaded and fried. Quick to prepare and a shame for the good meat. The location by the river and the courteous and motivated server are the only good things.

You can see that the restaurant is run with passion and commitment. The waiters know their profession and are very professional and polite. The atmosphere is refined in every detail and the food surprises with its excellent quality and balance of flavors. A very large selection of wines and advice you can rely on. Desserts and especially cakes are simply indescribable ❤️ you have to try them!

Beautiful terrace, terrific staff

We became aware of the Moosmatt restaurant through the percentage book. From the outside, the restaurant looks more like a village pub and without the percentage book we probably would never have stopped in. As soon as you step onto the garden terrace, you immediately feel at home. The loving furnishings and the relaxed atmosphere make this place a great place for a cozy summer evening. The food was really delicious and we were pleasantly surprised by the selection of special ice creams. The dishes were not only a delight for the palate, but also a feast for the eyes - beautifully prepared. Despite the delicious food, a negative aftertaste remains. We were there with a couple who were friends and each had a 2-for-1 main course voucher (up to a maximum amount of 28 francs) from Percent Book Lucerne. Unfortunately, it was not possible to redeem both vouchers, even after discussions with the boss. It's hard to understand why this wasn't possible, especially if we had sat separately at two tables we could have redeemed both vouchers. Even the well-intentioned grappa on the house as compensation could no longer put the experience in a positive light. It's a shame, because the food and atmosphere were really great. This experience will probably remain in our memory in a negative way and will prevent us from visiting the Moosmatt restaurant again. Overall, it was an ambivalent evening, with delicious food and a wonderful terrace, but marred by the unfortunate processing of the vouchers. We hope that the restaurant can address this issue in the future and find an understandable solution for all guests.

Lovely service, servers came by the table to check very often. Food was fantastic, they’re made and cooked with heart. It’s a much better restaurant than the ones in the busy area, which I think are all tourist traps. Wonderful place to sit. The cold soup was a pleasant surprise, it’s a little bit sour which is good for appetite. Really enjoyed our dining experience.

A true pleasure for the senses... I had the pleasure of visiting the charming Moosbad restaurant in Lucerne and I can only rave. It is a small, cozy restaurant with modern cuisine that offers a welcoming atmosphere. From start to finish my experience there was a true joy. The first thing you notice is the extremely attractively presented dishes. Each plate is arranged with aesthetic perfection and will make your mouth water. The cuisine at Moosbad obviously uses fresh ingredients of the highest quality, and you can taste that with every bite. The dishes taste exquisite and wonderfully combine modern influences with traditional flavors. The restaurant has a small outdoor area, one of which is covered and the other is not. This creates a pleasant atmosphere, especially in the summer months. I was lucky enough to sit outside and enjoy the warm breeze and beautiful surroundings while enjoying my meal. It really was a perfect place to get away from it all and relax. It is worth mentioning that a reservation at Moosbad is recommended as the restaurant is often busy. It's not hard to see why it's so popular. The combination of cozy ambience, excellent cuisine and friendly service makes it a place you'll want to visit again and again. Overall, I can only warmly recommend the Moosbad in Lucerne. It is the ideal place to enjoy a delicious meal in a welcoming and relaxed environment. Whether for a meal for two or for a special occasion with friends and family - the Moosbad offers an experience that should not be missed. Be sure to reserve in advance to ensure you get a spot

Perfect service/food. A lemon wedge in your cola gives you points. Chop in the daily menu was very tasty. Crêpes in menu 1 were also very convincing and really good. Espresso was also very good and hot

Unluckily the Fondue area was occupied by a large group and the low ceilings meant some of our people could neither hear nor talk, so left. The fondue is excellent but trying to park nearby is hell. I won’t be going again even though previous years have been good.

Had dinner on New Year's Eve. Poor service. Waited half an hour to order and 1 hour to dine. . Absolutely terrible dinner!!! Gordonbleu that tasted like boiled meat. Poor quality chicken and cooked the day before. Michelin restaurant prices. Definitely to be avoided. Never again !

Cozy restaurant with a beautiful garden terrace. Attentive & friendly service, varied food offerings and attractive & modern plates. We had burrata in tomato, Asian pulp tartare with fried giant shrimp, “Surf & Turf” tartare and Rosa Angus beef entrecôte with chili spaghetti. Everything was very tasty and definitely recommended.

We no longer like Moosmättli! Lunch menu: the salad was a disaster: the lettuce drowned in the sauce, tomatoes old. Doggibratwurst? Can not be! Salt the soup like last time. Today we gave the Moosmättli the last chance. Did the chef change after Corona? Apart from the kitchen everything would be ok. Two years ago: Highly recommended in Lucerne. Price performance is right. Service very friendly! Food was great, desserts too. Superfine ice cream. Authentic.

The taste was really great. Cheese fondue with garlic, bacon and leek. Not so runny but really creamy. It really tasted great. As far as taste goes, we would immediately try other creations there. The ambience was also very nice. Unfortunately, going to the toilet was a bit awkward; Leave the restaurant, turn left and follow the sign, toilet for guests cheese fondue. Was kind of funny. The restaurant of the same name had a different entrance, so they weren't bothered by the smell of cheese 😁 Another reason would be that the restaurant was on the forecourt of the actual building. A homely extension was made out of it with beams, floorboards and lots of windows. A very good idea for the cold season. The service was very nice, polite and had a lot to do. What left us speechless, however, was the price. One pot contained a portion for two people, there were three of us, sometimes four, who ate from one pot. With 13 people and four pots, there could have been five. A pot was ordered again because the first one was empty too quickly. Nevertheless, everyone was charged full price. Not good. Therefore only three stars. Maybe we'll come here again, two or four of us. Let's see, we don't know yet

Great cuisine with fresh and regional products. A characteristic neighborhood pub with a friendly atmosphere. We ate a pink beef fillet with stone mill polenta and winter vegetables. My recommendation.

That beef tartare is NO joke. We ordered the tartare with truffle and oh my God... I was in heaaaaveeen! I also ordered the braised beef with pretzel dumpling.. the sauce was phenomenal but unfortunately we got the ends of the braised beef and it was a bit dry (bummer) Tartare is a definite must-- get the big plate or else you're regret it.

Literally the best Tartare in town. A bit pricey but the portions make up for it. Only slightly negative thing to say is the Cordon bleu is nothing special.

Der Kellner war äusserst professionell und charmant die Weinempfehlung perfekt. Service von Wein in kleiner Karaffe in hübschem Eiskesseli serviert und dies bei Offenwein. Dazu ein Glas Wasser. Das war perfekt gemacht. Hier komm ich essen.

Die Auswahl der Getränke empfanden mein Mann und ich prima!Bestimmt nicht nur das aufmerksame Lokal Personal war bei meinem Besuch der totale Renner, sondern ebenfalls das gute Flair.Das Restaurant ist wahrlich sehr stilvoll möbliert. Keine billige Deko, sondern es war farblich sehr vieles stark gut aussehend auf einander angepasst.Ich fand das Gebot überaus sympathisch.

Aus unserer Sicht ist ein Abstecher hier absolut zu empfehlen.Das Gasthaus ist klasse leicht zu erreichen! Die gute Verkehrsanbindung macht einen Essenstrip schnell machbar. Sicher komme meine Wenigkeit da mit meinen Geschäftspartnern her und kann mich darauf verlassen klaglos betreut zu werden.Versucht diese tolle Küche, auf der Karte ist in der Richtlinie für jeden was dabei.

Enjoy the atmosphere here and the food is often very well prepared and tasty. The food are fresh And locally sourced, however the prices are still low. We were presented to our table straight away without waiting around.
