We had dinner with friends and I must say not bad. We got pizza and it was very good. The waitresses were very nice and helpful. I'll be back!

We were there for lunch today. If everyone had ordered menus, the lady asks one after the other for soup or salad? Two people like to say salad and the others like soup. At the end the bill came and the gentleman from the service asked who had the two salads, which were not part of the menu and had to be paid for separately? We explained the situation but there was no trace of understanding, not even from the order lady, who instead vigorously denied the misleading ordering question - disappointing from a human point of view, apparently there is no need to keep customers here in the long term.

I celebrated my 18th birthday at Castello and was served with the best food and a very customer-oriented staff. 11/10! Nice owner!

The chef with his monumental beer belly (uomo di pancia, uomo di sostanza) and his warm Italian manner towards his guests simply shows that he prepares the dishes with passion and that's how it tastes. The service was excellent. The garden with lamps in the trees and lots of greenery is a gem. The best Italian restaurant in Winterthur, I would say.

Delicious cuisine, unfortunately the service was a bit overwhelmed. But Pasta Tartufo was a poem.

Domenico is a brilliant cook. Italian as you imagine it. With Menu Surprise we can surprise our guests again and again. But also the homemade potato gnocchi with saffron sauce and salcissa, you could bathe in it...

The Castello is a highly recommended restaurant: a small Italian oasis in Töss! We usually eat pasta with mussels. It's super delicious! The service is also very friendly and accommodating. We come here to eat regularly.

Secluded garden with sun and shade. Excellent food, generous portions and fair prices. Decent staff. 2 suggestions for improvement: When people arrive, you could accompany people to the table with menu cards and ask for drinks (it was super hot!) It took a while before we could look at the menu. The service could be more attentive. We had to ask for the wine list, for spoons, for pepper and cheese - long waiting times. I think we would have ordered more if we hadn't had to call for the waitress. After After paying, we left the restaurant unnoticed. You could be more attentive and say goodbye to your guests. It was a quiet coming and going. In the restaurant you can spoil yourself with the food that is cooked and served.

We were greeted by a very friendly lady in service and given a table of four for two. After about 10 minutes of waiting (no problem!) three new guests arrived. A male waiter (wearing glasses) then asked us harshly: “How many people?” and at the same time pointed with his outstretched finger at an empty table for two in the blazing sun. Thank God the female waiter saved the situation as there was another free table for four in the shade. From then on we waited again while the male waitress calmly served the new arrivals. When they got their salad, he took the opportunity to ask us for drinks. He placed the two bottles of mineral water on the table without pouring them. That may be the style of the house, but it took some getting used to. The Spaghetti Carbonara was good, the Spaghetti Napoli was unfortunately dominated by herbs. When we asked the waiter for the bill, there was another unpleasantly long wait. Instead of collecting money, he calmly cleared tables, even though the garden terrace was already pretty empty. Suddenly we heard the head of the house loudly and dominantly shouting instructions across the garden. At this point, our mood finally sank to zero. The lady in service, who was still very friendly, then came to collect the debt and saved us from an unpleasant situation. As we left, the boss looked after us from inside the restaurant without saying a word... (July 8, 2022).

Cooking is done seasonally with fresh, high-quality products. Here you won't just find pizza and spaghetti on the menu. Antipasti, fish, meat. The pasta selection is huge and many types of pasta are fresh and homemade. The pizza selection also makes your heart beat faster. Fresh from the water tastes like you're sitting by the sea in Italy - simply wonderful! We can recommend this family-run restaurant wholeheartedly and with a clear conscience. Great value for money!
