Very nice, cozy atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Food excellent. The toilet is also very nicely decorated.

At the start we stood in the entrance area as ordered and not picked up. Several people from the service passed us without even saying “Grüezi”. The ambience was nice. The first drinks were delivered quickly, the pumpkin soup was sold out. The salad was generous and delicious (but at CHF 14.50 it also cost enough). We then waited over 45 minutes for the fondue. Reordering drinks was very difficult. The fake bread was never delivered. Instead of an apology, we received a “you definitely didn’t order bread from me” from the service. Well, the tip goes to the next friendly person in service. The bill for CHF 155.50 (for 3 people) came super quickly. We waited in vain for a “goodbye, thank you” as we left. A pity. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the pretty fondue chalet.

The chalet for fondue on the Bloom Areal in Rapperswil-Jona offers a wintery atmosphere. The ambience in the wooden chalet is appealing, but the cramped seating limits the comfort. The fondue itself tastes satisfying. A critical point is the prices, which seem disproportionately high for the quality offered. The service could be improved in terms of both attentiveness and friendliness. Curling does not live up to expectations as it takes place on a plastic plate and is very different from the traditional game. In addition, dividing the evening into two shifts detracts from the experience, as this limits the time spent in the chalet and guests have to leave the restaurant at a certain time. Overall, the chalet offers a basic fondue experience in beautiful surroundings, but with significant room for improvement in service, pricing and side activities.

The ambience is nice, but you have to be aware that this is “mass processing” and therefore you can't just sit comfortably and the seating is rather tight. Price rather high.

Ambiance: Nice chalet but it was too crowded and too loud for my taste. But otherwise it was okay, the food was also good. The price is a bit too high for the amount of meat (around 250g) but that's what we're used to in Switzerland...unfortunately

Went there for dinner yesterday with the whole family. Since I studied the map beforehand, I knew that the prices were high. So I wasn't surprised. The fondue was delicious and the portions were ok for us. But it shouldn't be less. The aperitif plate for 21 p.p. was a disgrace. Even less is not possible. We don't have to talk about wine prices either. 😞 I'd rather do without. Than paying ridiculous prices for an average wine. The greatest praise goes to the Lord who served us. Very friendly and accommodating. Even if it was a bit too quick from ordering to eating. Well for a unique experience it was worth a try. Next time I'd rather pay double and go to a stress-free restaurant again.

That's how gastronomy works!! Beautiful ambience, great fondues and a very attentive service team. That's how fun it is! At the end only our table was occupied. But even at this late hour we still had the feeling of being welcome. Thanks for that! To all those who complain about the price. This is a pop-up restaurant. The effort required to deliver such quality under these conditions is really great. The great toilets alone justify the price! “It’s the little things that make perfection, but perfection is anything but a little thing!” We'll definitely be back!

Cozy hut atmosphere, service from Manuela excellent, friendly, competent, super attentive, etc. In summary: that's what you want exemplary service. In addition, Roman should definitely be mentioned as a boss with a great overview of situations, always a kind word and actively supports his team. A successful evening!!!

There were four of us. Our son doesn't like cheese so we decided on fondue chinoise and chili fondue. Simply fantastic. Meat quality is A1 (we had the mixed meat platter). Bouillon top. The chili fondue is extremely tasty, I have rarely had such good cheese fondue. Service was top, very friendly and attentive! The ambience is amazing and you immediately feel like you are on the Alp. I can only recommend it. Bravo to the whole team! And thank you for the lovely evening!

Monday evening: Service staff seem to have their first day of work completely overwhelmed. Chaos, no coordination, long waiting times - all joy in the beautiful atmosphere is really lost here! Very weak management, it's a shame - we won't be coming back!

If you want to have a good fondue and proper portion, don’t go there. Poor menu and expensive for the quality. Service not very kind. I had to rush to order even if I booked my table on the early evening and the chalet was almost empty. Left after 1h and still more than half chalet was empty. Not sure why they made me rush for.

Yesterday we booked a table for 4. We where looking for our first fondue of the year but decided to do this not at home. The place had been recommended to us some while ago. I can summarise our expierience as follows. 5 Stars for ambience. The chalet is the perfect surrounding for the evening, especially with a good fondue. The open fire in the middle of the restaurant made the whole place very comfortable. 5 stars for the service. The people really take their job serious. Friendly, with a smile in the face, helpful and no mistakes when taking the order. Just as it should be. 5 stars for the food. The starters where pumpkin soup with a splash of cream (yummy), a meat and cheese platter which was nicely decorated and had really good quality of cheeses, cooked ham, buendner fleisch :-) and red smored pepper (delicious). Maincourse of course 2 different kinds of cheese fondue served with bread, potato, pickeld cucumber and onions. As desert we had vermicelle, pear sorbet, chocolet cake and an ice cream lolipop. All in all a very pleasent stay. Staff was very frindly and we had little chats. You could almost see that everything they where doing was done with a „Song in their heart“. I am looking forward to go there again next year in November. The location is from November-December in Rapperswil and from January to February in Zürich main train station. 4 stars for pricing. However, 4 stars is good, the pricing is to be expected for a special venue. The ambience and feel is worth this special treat. Very highly recommended.

Way too expensive. The menu is a scam! Under the fondue it says: "for 2 people or more" which usually indicates how many people can eat. But the price is listed per person. There is no way to tell if you actually get more if 3 people come instead of too, but you pay for each person anyway. Also the minimum order is for 2 people, therefore, it doesn't make any sense for the price to be listed per person...the fondue was tasty and the service was good. But they could list the actual price on the menu.

Beautiful location, unfortunately poor service and small fondue portions (not possible to refill).

Negative: The fondue was just enough for two women. Definitely not enough for a man. The price is way too expensive for what you get. When making the reservation it said that you have the table for a maximum of 3 hours. Shortly after the fondue we were asked to leave the restaurant so that they could pass on the table. That was just after 1.5 hours!!! You might have liked to have a dessert after a short digestion break, but that wasn't even an option. You pay so much for a fondue or raclette and are thrown out after 1.5 hours.. an absolute disgrace!! I made another booking before this visit but will definitely cancel it!! Positive: The ambience

The positive: Great furnished hut. Only………. Unfortunately, the boss Martin Roth does not respond to inquiries via email, Threema or WhatsApp. The excuse he would receive 200 or 300 emails is not an excuse. Then he doesn't have to publish an email address and write "If you have any questions, write to us" He probably read it on WhatsApp but there was no response! We then had no choice but to write down our concerns when reserving a table. When we were there and at the table, none of the waitresses knew what we had entered under comment! So everything had to be set up first. What is this line for *Note!!!* Food: *Raclette fun* for CHF 65.00 per person, is simply too expensive! Starter per person 3 pieces of sherry dates wrapped in bacon. Food: Cheese selection okay, 10 pieces of potatoes for 2 people okay. Side dish: pickled vegetables, 14 silver onions and 2 cornichons gherkins for 2 people. – Onion rings cooked. We would have preferred them raw. Very economical for pickles. Dessert: *Crepes to make yourself with berries, vanilla ice cream & chocolate sauce* had to be used sparingly so that there was enough for both. This is our assessment. The next time you have a *raclette chat*, you simply won't go to the *chalet for fondue* and we won't recommend it to anyone else.

Nestled in a cosy spot minutes away from Rappenswill train station, it comes with a great outdoors that has fireplace seating, food kiosks that sells snacks and local specialities. Luckily we managed to get a table without prior reservation, as the wooden chalet is popular with groups and families. The Spanish server we had that night seemed new though, made a few bummers like suggesting wrong fondue, serving raw bacons, charged credit card 5x. 😅 rest of staff was super apologetic and made it up through other ways after that. Mulled wine was real good though, infused with a fruity intense spiced flavor that one can get at home.

The atmosphere and the furnishings themselves are very nice, compliments on that. The service was terribly bad and all the employees had their masks under their noses. We then, in the sense of a counter. Feedback sent an email to the organizers and they didn't even respond. Conclusion = Both service and organization are very unprofessional, I would never recommend or visit again.

First the positive: The hut is beautifully furnished with warm decoration. The reservation went well and we were able to get to our table without waiting. It was warm and homey. The drink we ordered came quickly and was good as expected. Unfortunately, pretty much nothing worked from then on. Starting with the service, which was initially courteous, this changed as soon as other guests were nearby. We waited a long time until we could order something and ordering more (drinks) was actually out of the question. Then there was a confusion with the starter because it wasn't clear to us or to the service staff who it was for. Then to the fondue... We ordered an onion/bacon and a herb fondue Unfortunately, I have rarely eaten such a bad fondue as I did here. I might understand it in a restaurant that doesn't know how to make a fondue, but for a chalet with fondue in its name, it was subpar. The only thing that was good was the raclette, which scores with good cheese from Einsiedeln. However, individual ingredients were forgotten here too. In the end, we weren't able to order a coffee with dessert because the service staff couldn't take both in one and disappeared immediately after taking the dessert order. Unfortunately we cannot recommend the chalet, for this price we would rather go to a good restaurant!

Fondue was good but not enough for one person, coffee was also good. Atmosphere in the building was also good.

Sorry but I have to say, very disappointing. - Prices extremely high - Cheese fondue for 2 people was far too little. For the price (33.50 per person) you can expect a decent 400g fondue. There probably wasn't even 300g in there. - fondue was ok but not worth the price. There are other chalets that offer better fondue at better prices - fondue chinoise... Unbelievable, ask for 50.- + per person and then none of the 3 people get enough. Incredible. - 1 bottle of water Fr. 10.50... sorry but here at the latest you can only speak of a rip-off. Absolute impudence. For these prices I'd rather go to a fancy restaurant. There are better options out there at the same price. The one star goes solely to the service because she was very personable. I can't recommend anything else and I definitely won't be coming back.

After I was able to make a reservation on Thursday, but an hour later than initially requested, I would have thought it would work smoothly. But since the guests stayed too long, I had to be patient at the entrance. But Pia did a good job and all We got to our fondue a little late. A tip to those who accept bookings. Less is more!!! Spontaneous guests keep coming, so you fill up the chalet. Pia also did a great job in service .

I go several times every year. A nice atmosphere in the middle of Meilen. It feels like a Canadian lodge. The menu is extensive and rather expensive. Of course fondue is king. The staff is friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit.

The fondue was very good with truffles/champagne, the room temperature was at the lower limit. Unfortunately, the service was very slow even though there weren't many guests present. In addition, our aperitif order was completely forgotten. It's a shame, but with a lot of potential for improvement.

We wanted to give the restaurant another chance. Unfortunately, we had a pretty bad experience last year. Apparently the mistakes were learned from. This year everything went well and we were happy with the food and the service. It was a good decision to go again.

The place is very welcoming and characteristic. All in wood with a beautiful central fireplace. We ate well. The staff is very attentive. The fondue we had with speck and onion was very good and plentiful

I have been three times. First two were good. Just back from third, very disappointing due to poor service. Maybe Sunday being quiet has the b team. When good it is very good. Avoid meat fondu really expensive.

The location cannot be used for larger events. Service is totally overwhelmed and the kitchen brings uncooked rice.

I haven't actually been to this place, but it looked very inviting. I hope they put it up again this year.
