Lennox Restaurant Bar und Café in Rapperswil-Jona

Nice place, but some important aspects for me dissapointed: 1. I asked for a tacos without paprika specifying that I don't eat spicy (so it cane like this), but the chutney potatos came spicy enough that I could not eat them (and I handle a bit of spicy). There was no spicy sign on the menu, the waiter acted surprised and did not appologize or comment. We still paid for it and there was no complementary thing for this. 2. Portions were rather small and with the potatoes that I could not eat..was not really enough. 3. The wine glass came with red lipstick on. I noticed and the waiter did not appologize. 4. We had a table at the top floor (they did not specify when we reserved) and being our first time there we were surprised that is was very tiny, hot and very separated (you could not see anything) 5. I made dirty my napkin after starter and the waiter took it but did not bring another, so I ate almost the full main course without one, because he did not come in the meantime.

Better and more comfortable outdoor chairs please. You have the feeling it breaks with every movement

Wonderful evening... it's something you just have to recommend...

I thought it was really great here. The furnishings are beautiful, including the winter house outside. The light is dimmed perfectly. Toilets very clean and pretty. Service was super attentive and friendly. The food came quickly and was incredibly tasty. The only small negative point: it is rather expensive. But I will definitely come back.

We had fondue with 7 people. The location is simply great, good music, friendly service and a generally relaxed atmosphere. Price-performance was right. The location is also great, regardless of whether you arrive by train or car. I will definitely come back & recommend it to others.🥰

I really enjoyed the burger today. The service was also okay, but a beer was put on the table that I hadn't ordered. So I assumed it was a free drink on the house since I've been eating there a lot lately. Unfortunately, I was charged for the beer, which I think is a shame. If the staff is unable to act correctly, I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake. Otherwise everything was great.

The food was great! We were a group of 10 people and were served very friendly. The food was delicious and served quickly. I can only recommend!! Beautiful atmosphere.

Very nice place! Our food was delicious, the vegan burger was particularly good. In the bowl the rice was on the borderline (a little too hard). The coffee was very good. The ambience is beautiful and cozy. Only the service could be a little better, but that was probably because the room hour started at around 2 p.m.

Great food and very innovative. Service: we waited 40 minutes until we only received the drinks. Ambiance: everything hip and modern, which is completely okay but a big minus for the overcrowded rooms. At least 20 people, i.e. 5 tables, would have to be removed so that you don't feel like you have to eat with the person sitting next to you. Completely full, loud and the music is very loud. Extremely uncomfortable and we are not "sensitive". We don't know, is it necessary to bring in so many people for the restaurant to survive, etc.? We don't want to judge the reasons for this, it's just a shame. It will prevent another visit because we were, so to speak, sitting next to each other with strangers... anything but anonymous.

A Hugo for 16 francs without something to nibble on is too expensive. The prices on the menu also stopped me from eating there.

We ordered the aubergine fries and it was extremely salty. Our neighbours ordered it as well and said it to the waiter. When the waiter came to us for the bill, he asked if ours was also too salty, and we admitted that it wasn’t okay. No excuses, and we still had to pay for it. Almost our whole plate was untouched. BAD SERVICE!

Excellent, we were looking for somewhere warm and what a surprise. Not only is it a welcoming place with very friendly service, but the food is Spectacular!!. We will come back when we are in Rapperswil. By the way, don't forget to visit ALL the toilets, even from the outside! ....super cool!!

We actually always felt very comfortable. Until tonight Well, we arrived really later, around 11:40 p.m., and asked if we could still get it. No problem, they said we would just close at 12:00 a.m We said no problem, we chose a drink, ordered it at the bar and it was brought to us and we were immediately asked to pay, it wasn't a problem, it just came across as extremely unfriendly to us, which is a shame. Let's hope it's different next time.

Very friendly service and very nicely decorated. Lots of little details and very comfortable to linger! The food was very tasty, varied and everyone at the table was served at the same time!! The dog was given water without asking 🥰 A matter of taste: the momos were too dry for me. The only thing that was unpleasant was the cold draft when I opened the door. Is 100% worth a visit and would love to come back!

A reference point for us in Rapperswil. Every dish is of high quality and in every season you have the feeling of being in a holiday mood (from Winterstube to Lennox Beach). Recommended.

We were at the restaurant for lunch. Even though we arrived early, the service was very courteous and friendly. We were there with a small child and were seated a bit out of the way, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the burger was a bit greasy, but tasted delicious and fresh. In my opinion, the drinks prices are relatively high.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The atmosphere and decor is so chic. The food is eclectic and delicious. It is my favorite place to go on a night out with girlfriends, for a coffee with friends or brunch with my family. They even have fun events at Christmas time for kids (which mine really enjoyed.) I always recommend Lennox to my friends and other locals.

Will probably be my new regular restaurant in Rappi. Great atmosphere, good food and nice service! Insider tip: To the boys among us, be sure to go to the “Disco” toilet!!!🥳☺️

Today at noon we went to Lennox... apart from the nauseating smell of old oil at the entrance, they accompanied us to "our" table. My friend remained glued to the table it was so dirty, the napkin was also dirty. We took the poke bowl with shrimp and I took the lasagna (reheated in the microwave) which was inedible. I asked for bread.. only pita bread, I asked for pepper and they brought me the empty reel... very disappointed.. the decoration outside is gorgeous.. too bad..

We were asked what we would like to drink. After 20 minutes we didn't receive the drink. When we asked, we were told that there were no orders outstanding.

Eat: Burger was very good. Ambiance: Interior is great. But it was very cold inside, many were freezing, some even asked for a blanket. And the restaurant smelled of stale frying oil.

Really nice to be able to drink and eat in the center but on the sand. Really well done, beautiful cocktail menu. I will return to try the cuisine and perhaps add a star

After a long time we were back at the Lennox. We actually wanted to eat something, but we lost our appetite as soon as we walked in. There was an unpleasant smell in the restaurant, the tables and menus were dirty and unappetizing. The draped pillows full of stains🤮. The Lennox would be a great restaurant, but unfortunately there is no professional management.

The brunch was very good, but for this price the portions are very small, the ambience wasn't that great either, it was cool and the table was wobbling. The service was positive, although we received the wrong order, this was resolved well.

Very tasty food - although the portions could be a bit larger :) Prices are Zurich level. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and you feel a little like you're on vacation. The only thing that bothered us: it was quite loud (music and noise level in general), which made it a little difficult for us to chat comfortably among the ladies. That's why we left Lennox more or less straight after brunch instead of ordering a little more and staying put.

I made a request via email for a larger event. I didn't receive an answer for 4 weeks. When I called, I was told my email had been "lost". I then asked for an offer (because I really liked the look of the place). Even though I was told I could expect an offer the following week, I didn't hear anything for another two weeks. When I then wrote an email that the matter had been taken care of for me, I was suddenly able to write back very quickly. Instead of apologizing for completely ignoring me again, the only excuses were that I was busy with Christmas dinner. I wrote my request in September! I don't think it takes that much time to write back to a potential guest. Apparently Lennox doesn't need it... (p.s: I worked in the catering industry for years and therefore understand even less how you can "work" like that)

Food was overall good, but the all you can eat dumplings could be more well prepared as they were mostly warm and not hot inside.

The facility is unique, it's like you're on a short vacation. I was totally blown away by the men's toilet, which was a pure disc feeling. Great selection of menus, it was a bit of a challenge to decide. I chose the brunch combo Oriental :)

A Mikonos-style restaurant in the center of Raperwil! Excellent interior and exterior! Polite and friendly staff! Delicious food :) It's So clever that they use a compo brunch -so you can taste more than one plate! It's a bit pricey, but worth the visit 😉 parking space is really around the corner by the train station! I will revisit you! 🙂

The ambience is very nice and the furnishings are also very nice... but the coffee is not good for the price and is watery.

When you approach Lennox for the first time, it gives you a beachy holiday feeling. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into the vibe and setup, which is indeed very nice. Unfortunately the food (even though it looks good) is rather blunt and prepared with limited love. You can tell that e.g. all but the poached egg of the “Eggs Lennox” was prepared way ahead and the sauce was already dry. French Toast had only very little topping and pancakes were dry. Further portions are very small. Appearance 5 stars, food quality 1-2 stars.

All you can eat dumpling on Sunday.. Well, never again. Dumplings are very unique in taste and doughy. Always with lots of mayo on top. Sauce was forgotten and individual things were forgotten when ordering. To reorder you have to try very hard for them to see you. Slow untrained staff. Is not fun.

Caesar salad served without cheese and bread. When we asked the CDS about it, he reacted annoyed. "As a matter of principle, we don't have any bread in the house!" Tacos were good. Fries under-fried and service uncoordinated. Kind regards, Rolf Leuenberger

I've been here three times now and I'll definitely come back. The food is super delicious, prepared with a lot of love and what I really like is that the portions are smaller and you can order everything to eat together, so you can try everything. 😊😉 The service is friendly, not intrusive but very attentive. About the ambience WOW I love it. It is cozy, very stylish, harmonious and unique. The inside and outside areas invite you to linger and simply enjoy. I also found the music playing in the background to be appropriate. What is also very great are the parking options that are available very close. What keeps me coming back is the Lennox philosophy. I like her heartbeat. Philippe and his team thank you for bringing Lennox to life♥️

The food at brunch is very fine. It all looks very attractive too. Location was beautifully done. Mixed toilet is not really my thing. The freshly squeezed O juice was disappointing. I could swear it was served diluted with water. For the price it's not possible. The same with Freddo coffee. Way too small for the price. The staff is nice, but could be a little more active in sales, especially at large tables.

Lennox Restaurant Bar and Café is located in a beautiful location in the city center of Rapperswil. The furnishings with sand on the ground give the place a special charm. Unfortunately, the outside seating is often in the shade, which is a shame in sunny times. The menu leans towards vegetarian and vegan options. The brunch prices may seem very fair at first glance, but the portions are quite small. I was also disappointed with the quinoa burger and fries - it seemed dry and unspectacular, and the fries could have been crispier. Considering the quality offered, the prices seem a bit high. The ambience was also affected by wasps and an unpleasant smell from the neighboring disposal point was occasionally noticeable. Nevertheless, the restaurant definitely has its charm and potential.

Super chill atmosphere, almost like you're on vacation! The food is good, unfortunately my burger was very greasy and the bun was anything but healthy. I know now for next time. The food selection is quite small and the prices for what you get are on the upper limit. The same with the drinks. I felt like I got a small glass of orange juice with syrup for a whopping 14.-. So I never drink a cocktail here anymore, especially not one without alcohol. But the service is friendly, everything is clean and chic.

Nice ambience with a fancy sandy floor, friendly and attentive service as well as beautifully prepared and fine food. Unfortunately - even if Lennox can't help it - there were a lot of intrusive wasps outside on our evening. This meant you couldn't really enjoy the ambience or the food.

In contrast to the first time, I was very disappointed. We waited more than half an hour to order after being shown to the seat. Several tables of people who came after us were served first. The dumplings from the first round were cold and we had to wait almost 10 minutes before we could ask someone about them. In general, the service staff seemed very disorganized and listless. Only one employee seemed to make an effort. The warm dumplings were ok but not great... All in all, a rather disappointing visit and I will hardly come again. However, the atmosphere was very nice both outside and in the restaurant.

Waited 10 minutes. Was thrown a menu with a grimace. Told half the menu was sold out (at 1300) and there was only 6 things on the menu anyway. Waited some more. No one came to take an order. Left. Like eating in a sandy car park behind an industrial park.

I was so looking forward to this evening (especially the vegan momos): the original, fancy ambience and the great concept with a menu where carnivores and vegetarians/vegans alike get their money's worth. Unfortunately, something similar can only be found in the city of Zurich and not in this region. But the disappointment was great when I first heard that there would be no vegan momos and this on a Saturday evening?! With the unacceptable justification that the cook hadn't (yet) gotten around to producing supplies - that could happen, blah blah blah... The (albeit courteous & nice) service, who barely had an overview, the extremely long waiting times, the unimaginative vegan tacos, all the small portions at relatively high prices and my growling stomach when leaving the restaurant all added to this. A pity! Well, next time we'll go to Zurich again...!

A great place for a drink or an aperitif.

Maybe I just expected more. But the food was ok, the outside area with the sand was too narrow. Tables too high that it wasn't comfortable either. The worst thing was the service. Not charmingly unfriendly, just annoyed and annoyed. Although it wasn't even crowded or stressful. And then at really, really expensive prices. -> Overpriced and unfriendly

Very poor service, slow and disorganised. Food is simply terrible (very limited choice, nachos - discount quality - extremely salty and with a mix of sauces/ingredients that did not match at all). I give two stars (it would be one otherwise) only because the design is very nice, but a restaurant which is good in its design only is certainly not a place to come back to.

Price-performance doesn't quite match yet. But top location. Perfect holiday feeling.

Restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, always new ideas for the furnishings (currently with a beach feeling with sand), several lunch menus for every taste at very fair prices, friendly and attentive service, the food was served very quickly - ideal for lunch. Very welcome again at any time

Unfortunately there is nothing salty left for in between meals. Not everyone likes sweets! => Addendum: After 2 months I ventured back to the Lennox. (Hoping that the delicious bagels with salmon or avocado will be available again, especially at lunchtime, like before.) But there was “only” what was on the menu. So I chose the THAI BEEF SALAD vegetable papaya | Cucumbers | Roast beef | Ginger | Coriander. When I asked about bread, to my surprise they said they didn't carry any bread. After I had the boss come and was able to convince him that I wouldn't eat the salad without bread, I added pieces of flatbread. The salad with lots of vegetable papya and 4 slices of roast beef was ok ~ no trace of ginger nor in the taste, but it had 4 hot, fresh chili slices. The highlight, because spiciness is good in this heat ~ I would have preferred the spiciness of fresh ginger. I think I'll let it go in the future and accept that everything changes, even if not always for the better.

The restaurant is really very nice and drinks are very well served, good composition and design. Services was good, people smiling. We had the dumpling night, it was OK, we are used to better quality and Edamame are a bit too cooked.

We have been very loyal guests for a long time and come by at least once a week. Recently we finally tried Dumpling Sunday and were more than thrilled! The food was fantastic and the service was very quick. We were very impressed by the sense of sustainability, which is evident when we order too many dumplings etc. We think the surcharge for ordering too many dumplings is a very good solution!☺️

We got a place for brunch at short notice on Sunday morning. However, a reservation is definitely recommended. The terrace is coolly decorated and the artificial beach gives you a real holiday feeling🏝️. The service is friendly, open and unobtrusive. Food is delicious and creatively prepared. Beautiful oasis in the middle of Rapperswil.

One of the best poached eggs I've ever tasted!

Unfortunately the service has deteriorated significantly. We were on dumpling evening and after 45 minutes we were only able to order a drink. The dumplings came without sauce and unfortunately they were cold. It was very difficult to order again as the staff was less than attentive. Price/performance is definitely not what it used to be. It will probably be the last time.

We had a very nice brunch at Lennox in Rapperswil, surrounded by a little beach, palm trees and cozy sitting arrangement (the atmosphere reminded me a bit of the typical Tulum vibe). Their brunch offering revolves around different menus with 3 breakfast dishes included, costing between CHF 34 - 38. We've had the Eggs Lennox (similar to Eggs Benedict, but can also be ordered vegetarian), the Hummus with Pita and the Yoghurt with figs, nuts and honey. Everything was delicious and it felt like a mini tropical vacation in the middle of Switzerland. Can recommend!

We were here for the first time a few months ago. Lennox impressed us with his fantastically good brunch and the location. Today we were disappointed. Long waiting times, cramped seating, cold food, less choice and smaller portions and you had to beg for attention from the staff. Unfortunately, the waiter who stands at the counter and accompanies customers to their tables spent more time on his phone than responding to waving customers. Back then there were five stars and praise, but now I would think again about leaving over 100 CHF for brunch for two.
