If you want Fondue in the Swiss countryside (think cows and their alpine bells ringing all around you) then you’ve found the right place. We absolutely loved everything we ordered here and enjoyed every minute. The fondue was amazing with boiled potatoes. This place is is out in the middle of nowhere, so be prepared to drive on really dark windy roads on your way home. It’s SO worth it!!!!

My partner and I, who are used to going to five-star hotels, well today we really know what a five-star is. A moment of sharing, conviviality in a magnificent place and landscape. I was told that it was an excellent restaurant. I went there last weekend and I confirm that they know how to welcome customers. We were laughing all the way through. It shows that they love what they do. When it comes to cooking, I have nothing to say about quality products, large portions, in short, exceptional value for money, I can't wait to come back 😁

We went without booking and the terrace was full but we were still able to find a place. Very good aperitif board and artisanal ice creams too. Spectacular view.

The place is magnificent and the food is great! We were concerned about the malfunction of the service, which took a long time to bring us drinks and mixed up dishes and tables. But nothing dramatic, just a point of improvement. The view is fantastic and we had a great time! I recommend !

Beautiful shaded terrace and in these heatwave weather, it is almost cool in the evening. Very pleasant ! The staff and the manager are very pleasant, friendly and available. The waiting time is reasonable and the prices correspond to what you find in Switzerland, without being excessive. The fondue and rosties are good. We will come back with pleasure.

Not great. We arrived after the rain. The channels are not waterproof. The waiters just gave us a paw to wipe the table. After the 2nd bottle of wine, he had more.

Refreshment bar located under the mountains in an impressive location. The fondue was delicious so I highly recommend eating there.

Only one regret. Before the meal, I informed the staff that when I was leaving, I wanted to buy a tomme to take away. When paying the bill I was told that there were two left. But the manager refused to sell me one under the pretext that she wanted to keep them for the next day. Too bad.

We are very well received there even when there are people. The menu is faithful to Friborg tradition and the ingredients are local and of high quality. Bravo for this beautiful warm place, traditional and modern at the same time. From Charmey, a lovely walk along the lake leads there in around 1h-1h30 depending on the pace.

Just an afternoon drink, so no info on the cuisine

Nice place, lousy manager. After a long walk we arrive to eat and quench our thirst. The restaurant is empty but full, we are told (some reservations on the tables were for more than an hour and a half after our arrival). After insisting, a place was found for us on the terrace, but we couldn't order anything to eat because there were already too many people this evening and "the kitchen couldn't keep up." As for drinks, the restaurant is empty, there are three waiters, but we have to go and order and help ourselves at the bar by ourselves. The place is magnificent but such management is deplorable and we had the impression of deeply disturbing the staff. It seems that some establishments no longer want to work these days, or that success is getting to their heads. Beware of the owner who employs such a manager, it is very bad publicity. Fortunately, the chalet next door, despite the organization of a wedding, served us as it was supposed to.

While visiting near Gruyère, we discovered this charming establishment. It's worth the detour, in fact the little welcome note on the menu card sets the tone, here we want you to have a good time in an atmosphere of sharing 😀. Everything was perfect, a varied menu, delicious dishes, good quantities. But the best mark will be for the welcome. Despite a full terrace, lovely smiles and staff who go out of their way to make you have a good time, well beyond the classic service you usually find. Congratulations to this young team who succeed in offering you a great alpine refreshment experience!

The place is very pretty and accessible on foot from the Montsalvens dam. Unfortunately on this Sunday lunchtime it is impossible to eat without a reservation. We only had drinks on the terrace provided for that. Deckchair available with view of the Moleson

“Frophy” latte coffee unfortunately not very strong, the ice cubes had already melted, it was not very good, because at room temperature. Maybe mix it with ice cubes, it would make more ice cream as noted on the menu..... Otherwise magnificent setting and quiet location.

Lovely location. beautiful views. menu was limited, and i would not recommend coming here for something really substantial, but the desserts we had were very tasty. staff were nice but not very attentive. quite pricy but not out of line with the rest of switzerland.

An address known to me but which we never tire of. Already visited several times, but this is the first time since the change of boss. Ultimately still as good but a little different. Beautiful atmosphere and good service, taken over by a young manager and surrounded by young people for the service. It gives a boost of renewal. No need to say if it's good, a safe address with your eyes closed. Small downside, prices have increased. Apart from that, the place is still as beautiful and well placed. Highly recommended...🤣

Incredible place, located in the meadows a few kilometers from Gruyères. After visiting the cheese factory we wanted to leave the crowds of visitors in the city center to discover a more authentic place. Bingo! Superb place, frequented by locals mainly the day we were there. Nothing to complain about: very pleasant setting, discovery of the Fribourgeois Spritz a treat, half excellent fondue and perfect portion! And even the little double crème de gruyeres with the coffees…. The entire meal was delicious! Our service was provided by Marie-Cécile, super attentive and very kind. Thank you Marie-Cécile, and all the staff, for making this first “Swiss Fondue” experience unforgettable 🤩

A wonderful last minute experience!!! On National Day, we didn't know where to go and fate led us straight to this charming restaurant next to the cows in their field! We wanted to eat fondue, we were served! Literally the best fondue we've ever had ✨ Thank you for the welcome and the beautiful table on the terrace in a natural setting.
