When we were craving a crispy roasted duck on our evening walk home, we went to the centrally located China-Town Restaurant, as we have done so often. Knowing full well that we would soon be able to provide our demanding stomachs with the most digestible Asian delicacies, we looked forward to the take-away visit. The delicious menu, consisting of a crispy fried sweet sour duck and the same menu in the shrimp version, impressed us as always. The spring rolls were also large, crunchy and simply a culinary delight. We also want to point out that our beloved China Town restaurant welcomed us outside of official opening hours (we were 10 minutes late), which we found to be very accommodating and flexible! In my offer I selected the corn soup (which was more of an egg drop soup), the salad, and the meat and vegetables dish. The server promptly brought my soup which was sort of gelatinous and ok tasting, the chives on the soup were not fresh (were dehydrated) which might have impacted the taste of the soup, or it was the soup that tasted that way, dunno. Then my salad came out and it was a disgusting mess of sauce over a few greens, I tried to give it a go but gave up, slurping salad dressing was not what I had in mind when I asked for a salad. The server seemed very upset that I sent the dish back and refused to replace it with something more edible. The main dishes came to us well presented and tiny.
