Churrasco in Zürich

A lot of chaos and service leaves a lot to be desired.

I spontaneously went out to eat with my friend, he only took an appetizer. (30.- CHF) I asked the waiter to suggest something good for me and mentioned that I wasn't very hungry. He said he would put something together for me, I agreed. The bill came! Total 400.- CHF. So is the staff trained to sell the most expensive things without mentioning prices? It's great when you rip off your guests in this way. Arber was very professional on the phone and apologized for it, but I've never experienced anything so outrageous. For the money I go to a Michelin restaurant where a one-star chef serves me food. And no waiter who doesn't understand German. Sad, I would have liked to have written something positive because I like to see my compatriots succeed. But something like that is just a rip off.

Fantastic food but way too expensive (for what you get) even for Zurich.

The meat is excellent! Besides that, I can confirm you feel like in a fast food restaurant eating fast while the music is as loud as in any club, flashes go off left and right from everyone taking pictures of their food etc. If you like to eat a good steak in a relaxed environment go somewhere else.

A MUST-DO in Zurich! We have been regulars at Churrasco in the past. Today we celebrated my daughter's 1st birthday. Food TOP Location-TOP (music could just be a little quieter) A big thank you to Mr. Lemuel. He served us throughout that evening and with outstanding service! That was the cherry on top! Always my pleasure :)

A restaurant in the city center with amazing food and staff to be desired. Churrasco beef is the tastiest sushi we've ever eaten.

The meat was excellent and tender, the side dishes were delicious, apart from the fact that one arrived wrong, unfortunately I found a hair on the Dessert. The service was insufficient. The table in front of the entrance. At 8.45pm they kicked us out.

Nice and quick service. Ambiance io music rather loud. The grilled vegetables were too oily. Price performance is not right!

The music, the atmosphere, the service, the food were exceptional. The price too, but when everything is top notch, I won’t complain. The dishes were beyond my expectations ; the first bite of the « Bife de Lomo » made my heart melt. This is why I will come back : for emotions. Thank you Churrasco for offering us such amazing experiences. I highly recommend everybody to try the sea bass ceviche and the Bife de Lomo 🙏🏼

Great service and great food. The sushi and steaks are from another world.

The waiting times are extremely disappointing. Despite making a reservation, six of us had to wait over an hour for a table! The restaurant was completely indifferent to this or did not even take the matter seriously. There was no apology or offer to make up for the inconvenience...which is a shame...

Had "Bife de Chorizo" asked for medium rare and got more of a medium well piece. It's more of a hippe place. You got only 2 hrs to eat your meal and then u are rushed out so the next can have their seat. For the price you spend you would expect that you can enjoy your time and spend some time there without being rushed in the end. When we got our meat it took also a while for the side dish to be served. So we had to start to eat without the sides. One of us didn't get his sides until we asked what happened with it. It's not a place I would visit again anytime soon. There are other places which are better from my POV.

A wonderful Argentinian steak restaurant. You can choose what you want and it has a Japanese selection with beautiful sauces. Two addictions

I really like this restaurant and I would say it’s one of the best in Zürich for meat. The atmosphere is just great. Just a service is a little bit lacking but that’s fine.

The food is good. Unfortunately, the prices are not entirely understandable. I also don't recommend the tables and refrigerators with the meat because it smells very strong when opened! There are other steakhouses where you can eat cheaper and more conveniently.

My recent visit to the restaurant left me with mixed feelings, ultimately landing on a positive note. The initial setback occurred as our assigned table was inconveniently positioned in front of the meat fridge, emitting a strong odor each time it was opened. The staff, to their credit, were accommodating and promptly arranged for us to move to a more favorable spot. Although we were grateful for their responsiveness, I couldn't help but consider the feasibility of such adjustments during busier periods when tables are in high demand. Despite this initial hiccup, the rest of the dining experience was commendable. The food surpassed expectations, boasting flavors that delighted the palate. The overall atmosphere added to the enjoyment of the evening. While the initial seating issue gave me pause, the positive aspects, including the accommodating staff, excellent food, and pleasant ambiance, lead me to award the restaurant a solid 4-star rating. I look forward to returning, hoping for an equally enjoyable experience without the initial seating inconvenience.

You first wait 5 minutes before you are seated at the table, even though you have reserved. Otherwise very good.

If you want to enjoy delicious Argentinian beef, this is the right place. The ambience is very stylish. You might think you are in the jungle.

Positives: very nice atmosphere, the Argentinian fillet was very tender and well prepared. Negatives: unfriendly staff (easily annoyed, no recommendations). We were a larger group and were allowed to calculate our own individual bills, which was absolutely unreasonable given the prices. The highest prices for sushi I've seen in Zurich.

I ate there 3 times and always received extremely friendly service and had very good food. I look forward to future visits

That was a pleasant surprise. We dined here with a group of 12 people and had a very pleasant evening. The staff offered us a meat combination. But not everyone wanted that, and it was no problem for the others to order à la carte. The crudi and fish dishes were excellent. And everyone was served at the same time. The ambience is very nice and the decoration is exceptional. Overall very good, although a bit expensive.

A culinary gem – “Churrasco” exceeds all expectations! My visit to "Churrasco" was an experience for the taste buds that I won't soon forget. Dim lighting, soft music in the background and perfectly coordinated decoration create an atmosphere that is both elegant and relaxing. The service was exemplary - courteous, knowledgeable and always ready to offer recommendations without seeming intrusive. What is particularly worth mentioning is the patience and friendliness with which our special requests were addressed. The dishes deserve special praise. Each plate was a work of art, both visually and taste-wise. The price-performance ratio is also worth emphasizing. The portions were generous and every bite was worth it. Rarely have I felt so satisfied after paying for an excellent meal. Not only can I highly recommend “Churrasco”, but I will become a regular myself. A visit here is a must for anyone who is in the city of Zurich and wants to treat themselves and their loved ones to an unforgettable culinary treat.

The food was generally lukewarm. The truffle fries were terrible, as if they had just been thawed and reheated. The service leaves a lot to be desired. We waited too long for the main course and they forgot our side dishes. Conclusion: a disappointment But the ambience is incredibly beautiful. A pity. Not the first time I've eaten here, but definitely the last time.

I regret to report that I and my companion recently had an extremely disappointing experience in your restaurant. Despite a reservation I made two weeks ago and a phone call on the day of our visit informing us that the restaurant was fully booked, we were asked to come at a later date. We were assured that we would receive a nice table. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different. When we finally arrived at Steakhouse Currasco, we were seated at a table in the aisle that was so narrow and uncomfortable that every passing guest touched us. This confinement and discomfort significantly dampened our expectations of a pleasant evening in your restaurant. To our disappointment, the waiter also informed us that we had to vacate the table when my espresso order came, even though our reservation specifically stated that we could use the table for 2.5 hours. We had only been in your restaurant for almost an hour at this point and felt extremely unwelcome as a result of this request. Unfortunately, although the meat we ordered was of good quality, I cannot say that our overall experience at Steakhouse Currasco was positive. As paying customers, we had different expectations of the service and treatment we received, especially given the price we paid for our food. I'm sorry to be so clear with you, but my companion and I were very disappointed with our visit to your restaurant. I sincerely hope that you will consider this experience as constructive feedback and take action to ensure that future guests do not experience similar disappointments.

Our waiter recommended the Wagyu beef, claiming it was the best available. We’ve had Wagyu at other places before, but unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. The meat was overcooked, at least medium, despite our request for medium-rare, and it lacked the expected marbling. A regular ribeye would have been juicier. As compensation for the 240 CHF steak, they offered us an espresso. We won’t be returning. Sushi was good.

The food is excellent, both sushi and meat. Despite making a reservation 2 weeks in advance, we got a table for 5 people in a very dark corner, you could hardly see each other and it was also relatively narrow. Regarding service: several people, but only 1 person for orders, rather poorly organized in our opinion.

Service: we booked a table for 3 people, for 2 hours. We knew it wouldn't takes us 2 hours to finish eating, so we wanted first to enjoy a few drinks first before having food. We told that to the waiter, but 5 minutes after he got our drinks order, he came back asking for the food order and not a lot later food started coming to our table. So we couldn't get more drinks and enjoy the night. It felt rushed. Plus the table was too small to fit food plus drinks for 3 people. Food: piece of our order was a 30days dry aged steak, medium grilled, and although it was juicy, it was a bit hard to chew. We also had side fries which came to us lukewarm to cold. Ambience: it was great, but for the money spent, we wouldn't go back just for this.

I highly recommend this place for its stale meat which is excellent as well as its wine and the atmosphere. The boys are very attentive. A place to discover .

I had an amazing dining experience at Churrasco Zürich. The service was outstanding, with knowledgeable and friendly staff. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and laid back. It's a must-visit spot if you are in Zurich.

The food was awesome. The service leaves a lot to be desired. We were told that we had to clear the table in two hours. But we already waited thirty minutes until the waiter even looked past our table. He was also very unfriendly. But the atmosphere is cool.

Well it doesn't deserve 5 stars but not 4 either. A good 4.7 in my opinion. We have an assortment of starters which are, for the 3-4 that I have tasted, all impeccable! Special mention to the beef tataki, incredible! 4/5 for the empanada. On the table they serve a homemade chimichurri which is for me the best I have ever tasted (even though I am a regular at Argentinian restaurants). This sauce will accompany your bread as well as your starters but especially your meat. All meats are quality meats and extremely tender cuts. Impeccable cooking. The "fusion" style of cooking is (once is not customary) mastered and really highlights the food, the play of texture does not take over the flavor, perfect balance. You are sure to eat well but you are also sure to pay a lot, after all... we are on Zurich's Paradeplatz. 5-star cuisine, friendly and fast service, several languages ​​spoken. Discoveries and risk-taking on the map. In my opinion, you can find better for the same price or even cheaper, but I would happily return next time.

Well, the interior design can be discussed. Always better than the old Churrasco. The prices on the map correspond to the Zurich level. On the other hand, Menu 1 for lunch for CHF 35 with salad and 160 grams of very good meat (grill plate Argentinian) is almost a bargain. However, the salad dressing had too much balsamic vinegar. Next time order the salad without sauce and dose it yourself. Coffee tip-top. The men's toilet is very clean. The large wicker chair and the Art Nouveau lamps are a little strange.

Poor price-performance and sometimes very unfriendly staff. We ordered one medium and one medium-rare cooking level. A piece of meat weighing 600g was almost well-done and they wanted to sell it to us for medium. For 320 francs you should expect a proper level of cooking. The staff, for their part, admitted the mistake, unfortunately the cook and the boss insisted on their opinion. They didn't even want to discuss or explain themselves. Otherwise the food wasn't that bad, but it wasn't worth the price. There are much better restaurants in this price range. Ambiance: we sat right next to the grill and could hardly understand what we were talking to. The space is also very limited and there were complaints about this from other guests.

Is a nice restaurant. The food was very fine. It was a great atmosphere, very nice decor, nice dishes and the food came beautifully prepared. It was a great evening.

The meat was very good. The desserts need to be reviewed. The service was very good we had a good server. The music was way too loud, I had to shout to talk. Customers waiting in the lobby left the door open so thanks for the cold drafts.

We had a reservation at 9:00 p.m., were there 20 minutes earlier to have a drink, there was no space, okay, no problem, then we came at 8:55 p.m. and waited. It was 9:20 p.m. and we hadn't gotten a seat yet. Afterwards, others who had apparently made reservations at 9 p.m. arrived and were given a table before us. The reason given by the service staff: Yes, everyone has a reservation at 9 p.m. Simply disrespectful, because we were already waiting there for a long time before everyone else. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Business lunch over lunch. Very nice and attentive service. The lunch menu was very tasty and excellent value for money. Business partner took a nice entrecote, which was served separately with hollandaise sauce and pepper sauce. I think the ambience is very good and you can discuss business at lunchtime because it's not very busy.

Incredibly well decorated restaurant. Each room has an incredibly great atmosphere and design. Nice personel. Very quick service. Reservation is recommended. Super tasty side dishes, mashed potatoes with truffles are incredibly tasty and made from real potatoes. Meat is ok. Very expensive in price, a little too much for the standard quality of the meat.

The service was of a regrettably less than satisfactory quality and was perceived as insufficiently polite and less attentive. The meat was served in a regrettably fatty texture. Unfortunately, despite our prior reservation, we were unable to use our reserved table for a reasonable amount of time, less than an hour, and were forced to move to the bar, even though an untouched bottle of wine remained on our table. The pricing shown on the menu turned out to be opaque and not clearly defined. In addition, the waiter used the tip in a way that was perceived as inappropriate.

We have eaten here twice recently and the chef /menue never disappoints. There are great options for lovers of fish, meat and vegetarian foods; you might find it difficult to eat here as a strict Vegan. The staff is friendly and funny, happy to engage. We'll be back before long! Thank you!

Excellent food, the meat was very tender and everything was very fresh and delicious. It was very tasty and all around beautiful! Only the music was a bit too loud for my taste - a small negative point.

We reserved a table for 8 people for a birthday dinner at 8pm a week ago. After we arrived on time at 7:55 p.m., we had to wait outside until 8:30 p.m. Finally made it, a frustrated waiter picked us up, no apology or anything, and led us to the table. While walking to the table, I overheard a waiter gossiping about us and being insulting to the kitchen staff. Well, it continues: As soon as I ordered a steak worth CHF 128 (supposedly 400g), I received a plate with the following estimated information: 100g bones, 200g fat and 100g great steak - my jaw still hurts from that chew. If this waiter had spared himself his insults, this rating would have been worth one star - not even in Burger King you are treated so dismissively. All in all: The Galileo reportage team could happily film a documentary here, because it wasn't boring :-)

Awful service, very mediocre food and choice, the staff is very rude, impolite, and not willing to serve u, unless u r willing to spend a fortune. Do not even consider going there.

Excellent food, great menu. Good location. Service was a curious mix of charming and hostile. My main course, a salad, arrived a good ten minutes later than my partner's hot meal and only after I went looking for it. So many other options in the old town.

The service was extremely courteous and child-friendly, which made our stay particularly pleasant. But the best thing of all was the food. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food. Both the adults and the children were thrilled. Excessively expensive, even for the location. Surprisingly subpar food quality and quantity: seabass was remarkably small, overcooked, bland and only lukewarm at the table. It's probably the first time I ever reached for the salt at a restaurant table, and for a 39.- CHF dish! Plastic plants on the ceiling at the entrance are comically dusty. Service was ok, but both disorganized and a little too "intrusive" (constant water and wine refills even though I did not want any wine). Not recommended

Best meat in town! Nice atmosphere!

Went yesterday with a group of friends and although I don't usually write reviews, I feel like our waiter deserves this one because the service we received was absolutely exceptional. The restaurant was packed and the staff were rushing to serve everyone, but when our waiter Chris came to our table, we felt very welcomed and he took the time to explain and spoil us with the best recommendations, from starters to drinks, mains and dessert. He then checked with us every few minutes if everything was okay and if we received everything we ordered. The food was better than expected and all of us felt perfect. Thank you very much Chris, we'll definetly come back!
