Cinque in Zürich

Casual, fluffy Italian restaurant, furnished with tons of pictures, Madonnas, etc. - kitschy cool. The Madonna is even on the toilet and causes a smile. Great and well-positioned service, which also spontaneously offers a dish if you feel like something specific. Again any time. The food was good but not exceptional.

It's a shame that there are no soups but otherwise everything is great!

Dear Cinque service staff Please work on your awareness and sensitivity to the topic “my body my choice”. There are many guests who don't want to be touched without asking - your hands have no place on other people's bodies! Your lively and passionate style of hospitality is no excuse for this. It may be addressed directly by few guests, which is why a statement is important here. Thank you for your attention. PS: The food is good, there's nothing to complain about at all.

For me this is the best Italian restaurant in Zurich. The service is phenomenal, especially the principal waiter who is funny, attentive without being encroaching. The pasta dishes are just phenomenal

I had dinner there before Covid the food was fine. I wanted to revisit again this weekends for my mother in law birthday. And it was not possible to reserve the table online and I tried to call there is only one person can shouting “deutch “ in the call. I have not seen such aggressive reception on my life. Ofc the reservation failed. So the verdict : if you are only English speaker forget it.

That was a really cool experience. It's simply wonderful how the team lives the Italian flair! It was a bit loud, but that's just part of it. Again any time!

The food was tasty, maybe the bacon was a little too salty, the salad tasted more like dressing than salad. It doesn't particularly stand out from other restaurants and the portions are rather small given the higher prices. Service is very special. Constantly touches guests as they walk past for no reason, hugs them, strips/unbuttons his shirt while the birthday limoncello is being served. Attention: Dessert and limoncello are served without request AND charged for (it is not free like in Italy). Which is kind of outrageous if you didn't actually want it and said so. All in all, we wouldn't eat there again, but there are some better places in Zurich.

Great food, wine, vibes and an excellent and funny service. This is the place to be if you want to eat nice Italian food in a funny ambience.

Great Restaurants with the “,you are in Italy” Flair. The Music is always focused on the atmosphere but not too loud so that you can still have a proper conversation.

If someone is louder than me, then they are really loud. Waiter did it. Proximity-distance was not fully understood (constant touching). Boss was very unfriendly. Not again!

Since there were more people than we reserved, the staff were able to help us quickly and friendly with a larger table. However, the service during the meal was relatively absent and only focused on quick service. The food was very good. All in all, a good restaurant, but the prices are at the upper limit in relation to the service. For a group of 7 people including appropriate consumption, a small drink would also be welcome.

Part of good service, especially for the male staff, is that you have to constantly touch the guests so that they feel comfortable. From halfway through the service we were basically ignored at the birthday table. No coffee, no dessert, nothing. The food is good, but doesn't stand out from other restaurants. When we reported to the boss that we were a bit irritated about the second part of the service, he said that people like us who don't tip enough have nothing to report anyway. We won't dine here again!

The seating is a little too tight for my taste, I understand that you want to bring in as much as possible, but two tables less and you have a lot more breathing room. The service is top! The food is fresh and simply good. An Italian restaurant that we can only recommend.

Best Italian restaurant in Zurich!

I came here on a recommendation and had high expectations. Unfortunately, these were not fulfilled. The service was nice and Italian 'casual', but somehow too much (rather intrusive). Food was OK, but pretty bland and the truffle pasta tasted more like oil than truffles. It's all rather small; the portions, the wine glasses and the dessert. The prices are high - too high for mediocre food and little content. The location and the ambience are probably positive. Unfortunately I won't be coming back :/ what a shame!

Great restaurant right on Langstrasse and very fine food. The chef/chefs really make an effort to serve beautiful plates. On Friday evening the restaurant was crowded...we had made a reservation. Some people were still standing in front of the door at 11 p.m., already with an aperitif ready to come in as soon as a table became available. The waiters are very amusing and warm and make you feel comfortable. ;-) Price-performance ratio very OK. 👍🏻

We enjoyed a delicious Italian lunch. The interior is such a beautiful place discover. There are a lot of small details and everything aged very well (deco). The lunch was delicious, we started with a Caprese and I’ve selected the tagliatelle. For the finish, I had the most intensive coffee ever. Our host let us finish our ongoing discussion, rather than saying, they are closed for dinner preparation. Very warmly recommended!

Great ambience, very fine, authentic food. You have to love the Cinque. Italianità at its best in the middle of Zurich. I always enjoy coming here. Top service with that certain something. Very good cuisine. Haven't been disappointed so far. Price/performance ratio is more than fair - especially for the city of Zurich.

It was delicious! I was craving for truffle pasta and I got to experience a very good one! Staff is very nice and warm. They were a bit stressed and we had some waiting time-which is fine for Sat evening. We will be back.

Incredibly great place in the middle of Zurich for those who appreciate italianità and a fine meal in good company, and by that I don't necessarily just mean family or friends - because the staff is prompt, extremely friendly and very sociable! Va bene così!

We celebrated a birthday at Cinque on Langstrasse and everything was perfect! The food was excellent and the staff was very accommodating and personable.

My favourite Italian restaurant in Zürich!! Worth the visit! Need to try any fish pasta they offer, it is always great. Also, highly recommend to try the cheese cake for dessert.

A very nice Italian place in the center of Züruch. Good atmosphere, friendly service and the food is tasty. We had the Osso Buco which came with a very nice saffron risotto. The seafood starter with calamaris was also very nice.

The Cinque has two sides, unfortunately: great atmosphere, very warm welcome (which is unfortunately deceptive, more on that in a moment), original interior. I had Spaghetti Vongole, the blandest ever. Thought Italians could do it better. My friends were quite happy with their food. We were having fun, as was the waiter. At some point we wanted to pay slowly, so he brought a bottle of limoncello and glasses. Just like in Italy. We didn't really want one, but then we said yes. Then he refilled without asking, even though we really didn't want more. In the hustle and bustle of paying, four people, one bill, Twint, card cash, we left chatting. It was only when we got home that our friends noticed that the bill was incredibly high. I wonder why? The waiter charged us seven times for limoncellos that we didn't order. Unfortunately, no one responded to our email afterwards, which is why we're writing this here. So pay attention: Nothing is on offer in this shop, Italy is just different in Italy and the Cinque has been canceled for us.

Always good food and good entertainment in the Cinque

The squid salad was a delight, just really spicy. Great: It can be a little spicy without cluttering up the menu with chilli symbols :-) The tagliatelle with the wild boar bologenese were so good that I cleaned the plate with leftover bread. Our waiter was very attentive and used all his charm. We were served quickly. The outdoor area is in a great location, there's always something going on here.

Lame staff, super expensive even for Zurich. Asking for tap water (forget it, charging more than the imported italian water) asking for bill (waiting for 30min)

I must say that I was satisfied both with the place itself and with the attentive and friendly staff. I ordered a scallop with lemon and it was good although perhaps slightly too lemony for my tastes, the pappardelle with wild boar was excellent. The two of us paid 91fr with two spritzes, the prices are average for Zurich.

Fabulous place. Great selection of hearty italian food and wines, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Don't forget the Grappa before you leave! Fiore is the best host ever.

The restaurant is so awesome with the southern Italian ambience, the family service and the absolutely wonderful food. The homemade pasta is amazingly good. I had the feeling I was in Italy. Definitely coming back soon!

We had a super fun evening at Cinque. Celebrated my girlfriend's birth and it was perfect all around. Beautiful location, great atmosphere in the host team and of course very tasty food. We enjoyed it very much. Bravissimo!! We will be back.

The restaurant impresses with its original decor from the outside. We had an appetizer platter, the Osso Buco and the tuna fillet. Everything was very rich and fine. The service was top and the wine recommended with the meal was tasty. However, all of this also has its price.

The food was great! The octopus was so tender and meaty. And the vongole was also delicious. The restaurant interior is a bit old, but the food is good and the waiters are friendly. The bottle wines are a little bit on the expensive side

Tasteless and bland! I've already given it 2 chances, tried about 5 different plates and unfortunately it was a big disappointment again. The pasta was overcooked, the truffle pasta tasted nothing like truffles and had far too much butter on it despite ricotta and the orecchiette had absolutely no taste. My Italian companion was also extremely disappointed. Dessert glasses at the end are almost forced on you and because of the size you think it's on the house, but then you're surprised with 8.- on the bill..

Food is fine, but not very seasonal and not very vegi-friendly. I would have liked to have ordered just the side dishes on one of the menu items (i.e. just left out the scaloppine), but they refused to serve it to me. Incomprehensible to me! Then I had to order one of the two vegetarian menus, which was good, but I didn't feel like it.
