Col du Pillon in Ormont-Dessus

The staff and atmosphere were absolutely lovely. Really felt cozy and welcomed. The food quality, however, was very poor. The schnitzel and sausage rosti were both very greasy and tasted like old burnt oil. We couldn't finish our food and left hungry.

Right next to the cable car, ideal location for a fantastic dessert after a long day of skiing! The deserts are great! The service was fast and friendly.

The meal is delicious The atmosphere is also great👍 You can take photos next to you after eating. It’s quite beautiful.

Very good time after a 40 minute walk, a magnificent panorama arriving at Lake Retaud. On the other hand, a small downside on the diversity of the menu, we wanted to taste a perfect egg but out of stock... the menu offered is not diverse enough but it remains a good experience. Good luck 😉

Excellent restaurant on Col su Pillon at the foot of the cable car to Glacier 3000. Typical dishes are served, but also burgers and chicken nuggets with chips for the children. Very good, I recommend.

“Rösti-style” fries offer a good dose of energy between two runs of the Black Wall 😅

Love the atmosphere here. People and staff were kind. The food was good. I like the ice cream the most. The main course i had was rice and beef with tomato sauce, that one is quite bland for my taste. The vegetable soup is ok. It consists of potato, pumpkin, and carrot. Ice cream was good. There are always a lot of people here, so make sure you reserve first.

The tea was served to me with a half-filled cup, compared to the other cups of tea we could see that it was poorly filled. I asked politely for some hot water. The answer was that it was an extra charge. SHOCKING!! BIKER GO YOUR WAY. REALLY TO AVOID.

This restaurant is located just beside the cable car station up to the popular Glacier 3000. We had a delicious lunch before our adventure up in the mountains. The sitting area is warm and comfortable. The service is fast and friendly. It is a nice place to have a meal. Recommendable.

The Col du Pillon restaurant has a charming and typically Swiss atmosphere that immediately feels inviting. The decor gives the restaurant a touch of nostalgia and the ambience is cozy. The food is freshly prepared and is generally very tasty. It is obvious that quality is important here. Unfortunately there was a small problem with some dishes: In some places the food was fried a little too much and was therefore slightly burnt. This spoiled the overall impression a little. However, most of the food was still delicious and fresh. The staff was friendly and the service was good. Overall, my visit to the Col du Pillon restaurant was pleasant and I would recommend it if you are looking for a traditional Swiss ambience and freshly prepared dishes.

Food was either tasteless or too salty. Service was medium. Tape water was 3 CHF. The price was high compared to food quality. Actually there's no other choices up there, either you have prepared something to eat or you have to eat here. That's it!

Unfortunately no adaptation of the menus according to diets! The prices are too expensive compared to the quantity and quality served! 31.- for 1 burger that is 50% frozen and you also have to pay for tap water, a large part of the products are frozen, just 1 piece of advice: take the menu of the day, you have a better chance of finding a fresh product I would not say that it is a bad restaurant just if you want to eat Saint ask for information on the composition of their dishes. After giving our opinion, the staff served us with contempt! Explain to me your delirium of putting Chantilly on pasta? In conclusion, the dishes were not bad but not extraordinary either, not all the components of the dishes are noted on the menu! Non-conclusive service provision, I do not ask to be served like in a palace but a minimum of professionalism. not sure to come back...

We had some bears, cheese fundo, and desert which all were good. The restaurant has an extremely astonishing view to Alps mountain.

Very good time with friends .We stopped to have an aperitif but the atmosphere was so friendly that we stayed to eat. We really enjoyed the charcuterie dish with an excellent pinot gris. Then the fondues were delicious. On our next visit we will stop with pleasure

Good food. If you like cheese and don't want to eat too heavy for a walk, the cheese donut is a good choice. 1 star less for the vegetarian dish which is very fatty and another star less for the Road which is noisy. If I'm hungry at midday during a walk I'll probably stop again

Delicious food, just uncoordinated service...

(Living in Switzerland 15 yrs in Vaud and having hiked significantly & stayed in refugees & chalets), Found the food disappointing and also the team. - Have never seen menu thrown on the table, neither a uncooked grainy yellow peas soup. - Probably bought over by someone not familiar with traditional food or swiss manners I only hope they fix quickly things before more eat believing it is traditional food. Swiss manners please. Service without smile and manners is not service at all.

Beautiful restaurant and terrace with heavy road traffic as well as from Glacier 3000. But closed at 5 p.m.! A shame for Swiss catering.

Superb location. On the other hand, absolutely avoid the restaurant at Col du Pillon. Very small slice of apple cake (withered) for 7chf 😱. Exorbitant and not even good!!! Syrup with tap water 1.50chf. I strongly advise against this address. Not friendly staff. Long live the tourist scam.🤔

Après une belle balade au lac retaud...petite halte au resto.du col de pillon..un peu déçu :le rosti n'est pas énorme sans sel tiède dans une assiette froide,accompagné d'une tomme tiède et 3 tranches de lard pour 27.-...Je veux bien que nous sommes proches de GSTAAD.....mais ne prenez pas les indigènes pour des touristes....très dommage.

Pas de service en terrasse nous dit "la patronne" qui elle même était assise en terrasse. Dommage nous avions toujours été bien reçu par le personnel.

Super pleasant stopover after a day of skiing. We were 9 people. We arrived at the end of the service. They agreed to serve us with a big smile! The team is super welcoming. The dishes are well presented and super good. The chalet is well decorated. It's a good address. A super pleasant moment! a nice surprise!

We came to Switzerland in November and there was already 2m of snow.. it is an amazing place and the infrastructure is amazing.. we did the walk by Tissot and it was freezing at 3000m altitude.. however, it is worth the view and all the fun.. it is one of the best places with a lot of activities on top. The fun park was covered with snow and the restaurant is with very nice traditional swiss food at a reasonable price..

Venus pour le glacier 3000...qui était inaccessible pour maintenance, nous décidons de dîner dans le restaurant tout proche. Excellent accueil par la serveuse, qui a été polie, rapide et souriante tout au long du repas. Crème de légumes excellente en entrée, et plat du jour composé de suprême de poulet, sauce champignons et petits légumes qui étaient pleins de saveurs. Le chef est même venu dire quelques mots à la fin du repas. Ce dîner a sauvé notre journée !
